we stayed in a pavilion suite with garden view - this was the best room we had stayed in during our month travelling around Thailand. Location excellent, absolutely stunning spot virtually on the beach, lovely to stroll along in the evening, and wake up to in the morning. We had a beautiful little private terrace overlooking the beach where we were able to watch the sunrise. Room extremely large and comfortable. Pool lovely. Bar on the front overlooking the beach lovely too. 'The last Fishermans Bar' a little further along from the Hotel was a lovely find for good food. Did the Monkey trail just past the Fishermans Bar at 7am in the morning - we had about 40 very cute monkeys come down from the trees to see us. It was lovely to walk along the front of Ao Nang beach with all it hustle and bustle - but even better knowing we had this beautiful spot lit up with lanterns at night and virtually on the beach to go back to. Also recommend the ladies just past the hotel who do the massages under canopies - their massages are excellent and very reasonable - my husband & I went each night after long days spent sight seeing, it was a real treat.

Breakfast could be nicer but was adequate. Staff within the hotel could interact more with guests - but felt this was a training issue not necessarily a staff problem. Bar staff very nice.

Every thing was nice , location , the view , swimming pool , outdoor resturant , staff , clean .

No smoking in the room ( its ok ) No smoking in the hotel premises , No smoking at balcony . No smoking outside the room. If you want to smoke you have to go out of the hotel ( resort ) near the beach or resturant away from hotel to smoke .

check in was breezy! our rooms were made ready earlier than expected which was very much appreciated since we travelled with a toddler and 2 other young children. location was good! near by the beach and eateries

The bed was a bit too hard for me. Housekeeping needs a bit of improvement, kept forgetting to supply us with fresh towels

You couldn’t ask for a better location in Ao Nang - right across from the beach, close to many restaurants, shops and the pick up point for long-tail boats to nearby beaches. The pool is gorgeous with a stunning view of the mountain. Plenty of pool chairs with towels provided. The price for a hotel in this location is excellent, especially with the great Booking benefits and discounts. The staff are really helpful and friendly - pool guys, restaurant / breakfast staff and cleaners. The hotel provides a wonderful breakfast buffet with a variety of tasty foods and the option of sitting indoors or outdoors with great views of the nearby beach. The deluxe room is large with a nice balcony - we had a view of the pool and the mountain (karst).

Bathroom very dated with shower in the bathtub. Also dark and dingy with an extremely noisy flushing of toilet. It’s so loud that you can hear your neighbors’ toilet flushing too! The acoustics in general are unfortunate - you can hear the guests in adjacent rooms. Very hard beds even by Thai standards. Insufficient lighting in the bedroom for reading. Bathrobes would be a nice touch for a hotel that’s listed as 4 stars.

We were alarmed to arrive and discover that they were overbooked and our pool view room wasn't available. We were then delighted to discover they had upgraded us in a garden villa. It was awesome! Clean, quality furnishings, quiet and quaint. Very good location opposite the beach (we didn't swim here due to concerns about water quality). We did however spend many hours in their amazing swimming pool which was best. Big shout out to Noom and Noom our favourite poolside bartenders who were very attentive and professional. They were the best staff we dealt with at Golden Beach.

Reception staff were a little unfriendly. But we appreciated our room upgrade and so all is well :)

An oasis right on the sea in bustling Ao Nang. The Golden Beach is an older style, picturesque hotel , right by the sea, dwarfed by a towering limestone khast. We were in a bungalow. The room was attractively appointed and comfortable. The hotel uses some sustainable practices, such as refillable toiletries and solar panels. We had a sunny verandah with a partial view of the sea. The bathroom was huge, and the water pressure was excellent. The staff at the hotel were always friendly and obliging. The breakfast was tasty with plenty of variety. We enjoyed several meals at the hotel during our stay and found them to be excellent

We found the bed to be very hard.

I have stayed here on 4 separate holidays ….. i love that its so close to the beach

The first time i stayed here was in 2007 …. I had the single story villa. The interiors need updating and its a shame they filled in the previously glassed bath area. At over AUD $3000 a week i fear this was my last stay at golden beach. This trip i paid $3000 for three weeks in a 4 star hotel with seaviews in patong

Beautiful villas and garden, very good location, next to sea. Big rooms and nice staff. Nice pool and lots of sunbeds next to pool. Breakfast choice, there was thai food and Euroopean stile food, just cheese missed unfortunately. Tour ladies offer to you different trips next to hotel. Short walk to restaurant and seven eleven. Big outside massage area with good service.

Beds are too hard for us. Pool closed 18.00. If internet is important to you, you do not get it from hotel, wifi was very weak and slow. Take local or own travelsim-card.

Your beads NEED ti be revised .... Instead of a double bed, which we had requested, we had twin beds that simply pushed together . Beds that were not at the same Hight... And were very hard for our backs ...
