It's a rustic place with a no frills set up which was what I liked. The river frontage, lawn and little bar area is rather relaxing. O the owner had organised a driver for me to do 2 half day tours up to the hills and waterfalls for a fair price too. I would surely return and book this lovely guesthouse. I was even lucky to stay for five days considering that this place has only five rooms. Book.early if you want this stay.

Nothing negative about this guesthouse except for some drunks blasting their base from their car from across the river. O even called the police to deal with that.

Ok.Ban narei is ban narei. I don't know if I have to share or keep this place secret. What can I say? I haden't really had an expectation of it. But Ban narei is : a vibe. We arrived late at night, and found everything easily to check in without Mr O. First impression : Perfect, perfect, perfect. Nothing much, just a bed and clean bathroom. but what a room... A room with A VIEW! The vibe in Ban narei is exceptional. First you have a huge garden in front of a river to chill out. Second, you feel at home. Plus, the AC is silent! (that was my problem number one in Thailand, noise of the AC) What can I say? nothing much. Just hoping to come back.

Maybe some blackout curtains could be cool. Also, noise of the road the other side of the river, but wasn't that bad.

This was our favourite place we stayed in Thailand. The room was very comfortable and the place has a lovely calm atmosphere, you can chill out and read a book or have a beer overlooking the river. The owner was friendly and had 3 lovely dogs :) It’s in a great location, easy to walk to loads of good places in the old city. Would 100% recommend.

Nothing - everything was great!

This place owned by Oo and Bee. Very warm and nice couple! They have 3 chihuahuas that greeted us all the way since our arrival and departed. Oo’s family owned Vanida Tour agency where u can rent a bike, motorbike and even laundry as well which very close by the guesthouse. We left our stuff at this place and its a sign that we need to comeback soon to Chiang Mai! Location wise very strategic, it is outside old city but quite chill and silence at night 😊

Location is incredible! We looked forward to coming back to the guest house at the end of every day and loved hanging out on the porch! Staff was so friendly and we loved the little dog greeting committee! We also stayed in several very fancy hotels in Bangkok, but enjoyed our stay at the guest house more than the fancy hotels!

Beds are very hard for what Americans are used to at home

Such a nice couple that lives there and takes good care of the space. It is humble in its accessories but met our basic needs. Gorgeous sitting and relaxing on the river after a day of walking each night. Great location. Coffee, drinks, available.

No refrigerator in the room.

Location is super good. The host and other guests are amazing. The vibe was memorable. It was just sad that I coukdnt stay due to my discomfort.

The toilet or plumbing would smell very badly, fill the room and was uncomfortable to come back to. The curtains did not dim the night lights enough for me. The bed was too hard for me.

This humble place is very unique. It's located right by the river and next to Narawat Bridge where the center of Yi Peng festival happened. i couldn't expect more for peacefull n quite. But on the other hand if you stay here during yi peng festival, you will definetely don't need to go anywhere to enjoy the flying lantern view. The owner Khun Oh is a nice person!

This is a gem! He has created a little garden oasis on the river. We loved having an honor bar to help ourselves. The wood-fired pizza was delicious! It was just such a peaceful place to hang out on the patio with bonus adorable dogs to pet :).

We had a very relaxing stay here. I could just sit outside the whole day and enjoy the view. The room is also pretty well-maintained. The dogs were a cute bonus.

It was a bit difficult to find at first but didn't really bother us. Otherwise, it was lovely.
