It was my 4th stay at Malee Hotel and it is always such a pleasure to be back! The staff is wonderful, super friendly and they go out of their way to assist you with booking activities and transportation. They even greeted me with a "welcome back" card and a gift on my bed - how thoughtful! The rooms are spacious, very clean, quiet, with all the facilities you need (hairdryer, small fridge, kettle, toiletries...). The wifi works perfectly if you need to do some work. The location is ideal, in a nice part of the Old Town, with my favourite temples very close by. The best thing really is the staff, so kind, it feels like home. Nueng - thank you for everything, I am looking forward to seeing you again next year!

The rooms were spacious, really clean, location was in the old city. Employees were helpful.

The only problem was sound isolation. You could hear everything from hallway and outside traffic. It was not a dealbreaker for me but my boyfriend was really disturbed. Sound isolation can be improved.

Minimal rooms but with everything you need. The lady at the reception is great and very passionate about the city, her enthusiasm is contagious. Our room was ready earlier so we could check out already in the morning. Very well located, great value for money.

At the price it is I can't find anything bad.

Super central, incredibly clean (bathrooms and showers were always spotless), very safe vibes, and the staff were SO caring. As a 33 year old female, I’m past the hostel scene, but this one was amazing because the age demographic always seemed to be mid 20s to mid 30s, so very chill and respectful environment.

The door into the bedroom is very sturdy and safe, which is good. However, it would be amazing to cancel out the noise a little, especially if people arrive back to the dorm late at night or get up very early.

The staff was so lovely, they helped us with anything we needed and there was always fresh fruit and a coffee machine in the lobby that you could help yourself. The location was excellent; across the street, there were 2 cafes where we ate breakfast or grabbed a midday coffee and many bars and restaurants were just a short walk away. We went during Songkran so the streets were lively all day but the hotel still felt far enough away from the action where you could rest properly.

There were a few seats outside that you could sit in but I would have loved maybe a couple of small tables and chairs to sit outside and have a coffee or a snack.

I love Malee Hotel and this was my third stay there. The staff is so friendly and attentive - I was travelling solo and my birthday fell during my stay, which I didn't tell anyone. When I came back in the afternoon after a day of visiting temples, I found a lovely birthday card from the staff in my room, together with some chocolates - what a sweet, sweet gesture! Thank you Malee staff, you truly made my birthday very special. The room is spacious, quiet, super clean and with all the equipment you need (hairdryer, refrigerator, shower gel...). Bathroom is spacious, shower water is hot and the aircon is very effective. The location is also perfect if you enjoy exploring the town on foot while staying in a quieter part of the old city. The reception staff go out of their way to arrange activities, day trips or even just an airport transfer for you. I travel to Chiang Mai every year and have stayed in many hotels, but Malee is my go-to now, I don't look anywhere else. Perfect stay every time.

I was very happy. This hotel was an excellent value. Affordable, very nicely up to date room, staff was very helpful and cheerful. I could not ask for more. I recommend this hotel without reservation.

I cannot complain about anything. Great v value, very night room and close to food and attractions.

Everything - location is excellent++, staff are absolutely wonderful, kind, helpful and friendly. Clean, oh so clean! Fresh linen regularly. Quiet air conditioning. Snacks in lobby. Cold water dispenser. Great value for the dollar. We will be back for sure, we will not even bother trying a different hotel.

Just hard beds. I like a firm mattress but wow these are hard. To be aware that when bathroom light goes on in the night, the room will get bright due to light going through frosted glass walls.

I wanted to pay using my standard international Mastercard credit card, but was required to enter an OTP rather than a 4-digit PIN? Very strange - result was I had to pay cash. I’ve used this same card since in a hotel, to obtain cash - and also before. If asked for anything - has always been a 4-digit PIN.Just a problem with Malee hotel.

The location was excellent, walking distance from the main attractions of the city. The staff was very helpful and ready to accommodate us with any request we had. Clean room, with two free bottled water everyday for us.

As we visited Chiang mai during the lantern festival, one night the noise was very loud from outside, making it uncomfortable to sleep. Although this was only for a night.
