This boutique hotel was one of our favourite places that we stayed in during our trip in Thailand. The location is brilliant with heaps of food options nearby, convenience stores just down the road, the fact that it was in the Old Town area and 10-15 walking distance to the weekend walking markets. The hotel itself is clean and very trendy and breakfast was really good. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. We will stay here again.

There was nothing to dislike about this place. If my arm was twisted, the pool was on the smaller side but it is a boutique hotel and is to be expected. Mind you, there is so much to do around the area and in Chiang Mai that we hardly even used it. It was nice just to have a pool in the old town area so not really a negative at all.

We had two rooms, one of the ground floor (floor 1) and one on the second floor (floor 3): both were clean, with extremely comfortable beds, with good quality linen. The pool is small but lovely. For breakfast there are three fixed menus or you can opt for a delicious granola bowl with fresh fruit. The cappuccino is exactly as it should: couldn't tell it apart from an Italian one. We walked to the historical sites with no effort: I would say it's conveniently located. From the corridor there is a great view of a temple which adds to the new niceness of the premises.

The rooms were damp, but I assume that's what you should expect during the rainy season. The airco did reduce some of the dampness, but still it felt (and slightly smelled) damp. However, there was mold in sight, nor did it smell of it. Rooms are tiny: there's barely room to open the luggage and there's very limited space to hang clothes.

I was so pleasantly surprised by Pastell Old Town. I was looking for something affordable as a base to explore Chiang Mai, and that was really all I expected. But it was so pretty! The decor and interior design and colour are gorgeous, with the wood and pastel theme following all the way from the reception decor to the mugs in the bedrooms (but in an elegant way). The room was cute and comfortable (I loved that the TV had Netflix with a hotel account meaning no personal sign in), the breakfast was fantastic, the swimming pool was a haven and the hotel is centrally located and easy to find. There are a number of great cafes and restaurants nearby, and I would highly recommend trying the toasted coconut ice cream from the onsite cafe! There are a number of street food markets within walking distance as well.

Rooms are pretty special, we loved the decoration, the sloppy ceiling and the curved shower. Very nice design. There is a wire on the balcony, pull it and use the hook on opposite wall, then you can dry your clothes/ bath suits. Breakfast was ok Beautiful entrance and lobby Not far is a 7/11 convenience store Behind the hotel, in the same alley, there is a nice and simple restaurant, sorry doesn't recall the name.

Location is a bit far from Sunday market, but ok if you like to walk Be aware the safety box is above the fridge, which heat everything you put in the safety box, telephones, ipad... The swimming pool was a bit cold, well for us and it can be a bit too noisy when people enjoy the pool while your room has a view on it. We rented this place for the pool but finally enjoyed it once.

Took a grab for 250THB and was met with such a beautiful oasis that is hidden in such as busy side street! Staff were very friendly and helped us with our luggage. Provided us with info about different attractions nearby in Chiang Mai, and were ready and willing to assist with any requests we had. The room was spacious, had an excellent shower and small balcony overlooking their refreshing pool. They provided us with fresh distilled water bottles everyday and had excellent breakfast options with fresh fruit and some vegetables. They were also kind enough to leave us with a small gift upon checking-out

Great little boutique hotel with great location in old town. Fantastic coffee and the breakfast was really good as well. Rooms were as expected, clean and comfortable.

The only incident was that the kids had a rather large spider in their room (about the size if a grown mans hand) but the staff helped to remove it and gave the kids a new room, I dont want this to be poorly reflected at the hotel as it was quite lush around the pool as sometimes nature naturally extends beyond, thought I would just mention it.

Pastell is a boutique hotel conveniently located in the Old Town of Chiang Mai. The maintenance is high level, everything is flawless. The staff is helpful, the room has a good size, the bed is comfortable, the water pressure of the shower is great and the breakfast is nice. We had to do an early check out due to an early morning flight and they've arranged us a breakfast box.

The pool is small and shady, but anyway can be enjoyed. Considering all the hotel positive aspects, this is just a minor observation.

This is a really cute little hotel down some narrow little streets near the old town of Chiang Mai. Our pool view room was very nicely decorated, bed was huge & super comfy. Breakfast was efficient with lots of variety. Staff very helpful. Lots of tour options & would recommend Elephant Nature Park (ENP)for a totally ethical walking with elephants experience.

In an ideal world the pool could have been warmer with a few more chairs around it to sit on. But as we did tours most days we hardly had time to sit around it anyway! It was absolutely fine for a quick dip.

Modern design and furnishings. Breakfast sets included bacon or ham, eggs and avocado on toast, rice porridge, espresso, and juice. Location was close to markets. Pool was very small and unheated (might be the standard) so the kids did not use it to manage their energy levels as expected. Appreciated the loft bed as extra space. They supplied a bottle of water each per day which was appreciated. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is 1 min away from good restaurant, massage, atm, and laundry service.

We would have liked to get extra blanket/sheet for the sofa bed. Bit costly compared to other accommodation options.

This hotel was incredible, beautiful rooms, really comfy beds and soft pillows, a waterfall shower and they give you free water every day. The staff were incredibly friendly. One staff member even waited with us until we were picked up by our taxi after check-out at 4am! Exceptional service, they really go above and beyond! The breakfast was also incredible, the toast was amazing! 10/10 experience, would recommend.

We loved everything, had the best stay!
