Great location, in the heart of the Old Town in Chiang Mai but in a quiet street. For the price, the rooms and location were perfect, the staff was really helpful and responsive when we had requests, so feel free to ask! we asked for quiet bedrooms and were happy with our rooms which were super clean too We even extended our stay for an extra 3 nights :) (which was cheaper directly with the hotel FYI) Basic amenities in the bathroom but I reckon you just have to ask if you need anything (hair dryer etc) to get your room cleaned isn't automatic, just put the sign on your door..! Honestly great value for money!

The bathroom was the biggest I've seen on this trip, and it was very nice. The bedroom had a nice style, too. The hotel provides many helpful starting points on what to do in Chiang Mai, and the cheap airport transfer with their minivan and the luggage storage were also great. The room was nice and quiet. The hotel itself seems like you could also meet other people there to hang out with as a solo traveller.

An elevator would be great. But the stuff did a good job of carrying my big, heavy suitcase up to the third floor 😅.

This hotel is lovely. It's a little dated, sure but it was clean and comfortable. It's perfectly located in the city and easy to access everything you need. My room had a window (not sure about the rooms without one) so I found it to be perfect and a great option for a few nights. The staff were accommodating and friendly.

Walls are a bit thin so it can be a little noisy.

We loved this location in Old Town. So many good tea, coffee and Thai restaurants on the doorstep. the accommodation was always clean and welcoming, you can have your room cleaned on request and someone is always available at the desk if you need anything. Booking a taxi is cheaper through them than any other way. Fresh water always available, friendly staff, laundry on site, good shower temperature,

We had a really great stay here at Chanaplace Lanna. Great location within old city, lots of good food options nearby (our regular spots were Phithi and Stewed Pork Leg in front of the post office building). The accommodation is exactly as advertised, clean, comfortable bed and good A/C. The staff are very friendly, always willing to help and your room gets cleaned regularly. Overall, a great 2 week stay! Thanks!

I booked the normal suit and it was the confort I needed to continue my trip. Confortable and nice bed. Great hot water pressure and excellent location. Stuff is really nice, and you have some beers and soft drinks in the lobby, so you can buy them. The fridge in the room was great, and they restocked the amenities daily. I had a view to the sunset that I loved. The bed sounded a little bit, but nothing annoying.

While one must hesitate about giving away a hidden gem, Chana Place certainly deserves prominent mention for anyone visiting Chiang Mai. If you are looking to be away from the 'touristy area' of the Old Town and, don't mind a mildly austere albeit perfect clean and acceptable setting and, most importantly, want a staff with kindness and a willingness to address any and all questions and concerns, Chana Place is it. I am not sure how many official stars they have as a hotel, but as a staff and welcoming location, they are certainly five stars in my book.

Chana Place was absolutely amazing, and it was the staff that made it so. They went above and beyond at every turn from our comfort, cleaning to helping us get through the city and having a good time. My partner found the bed too firm for him and the owner instantly put a topper on it and then later bought a nicer topper and replaced the one in our room (after we already said we were happy with the one initially provided), I couldn’t believe how accommodating she was especially given this being a lower mid-range priced stay! The staff were more than happy to help us find good tours, arrange them for us, and make sure we got on the right bus at the right time and when we got back made sure we had a good time. The staff helped us get taxis, chatted with us, provided laundry services. Our stay would not have been anything like it was had we stayed elsewhere and we would definitely stay again as well as recommend to anyone going to Chiang Mai.

Honestly no complaints. Some mosquitoes made it into our room but that is completely expectable and the staff graciously lent us their electric swatter!

Very strong wifi. Very comfy bed. The hot water and the ac are working pretty good. 7Eleven and drug store in walking distance. Very convenience location. Staff also taking good care of you since reservation process till departure.

my room was directly next to the cleaners store room, so I was woken up every morning at around 6:30am to the sounds of the cleaner. I had earplugs so I could use them and go back to sleep. sleeps important to me.
