Pool and rooms very nice and staff helpful. Good value if you can get a last minute deal.

Location in Chiang Mai is poor and area around hotel is run down. Main entrance hotel steps need repair, planks on pool deck coming loose, some basic sprucing up of facilities would not be costly but make a big difference to first impressions for guests. An irritant was they made me pay them 1000 baht for a late check out extension - but only to 2 pm from 11 am. Also charging 150 baht for their car to airport (which needed cleaning) about 2x rate you can get by just calling for a local taxi or using bolt.

Had a lovely time here. The location is in the old city which was good to be able to walk around and explore easily. The room was large so lots of space for all our luggage and a little table and chairs where we could play cards. The staff were very helpful and there is also a tour desk to help you decide on activities but to be honest I think it’s easier to organise yourself on the internet and see reviews!

The breakfast wasn’t particularly fresh but we just went out to nice cafes nearby for breakfast instead.

This was our second time staying at the Pingviman Hotel. We enjoy the Lanna-style décor of the hotel and love that it’s a smaller property. It feels intimate and welcoming. The location is excellent, with plenty to explore on foot. We especially enjoyed walking to the Chiang Mai Gate Market most evenings for delicious street food and a lively atmosphere. The pool area is great for getting in some laps. Rooms are spacious and well-maintained, and the beds are comfortable (compared to many others we’ve stayed in throughout the region).

The room is really spacious and very authentic in style. The location is great! The hotel is in walking g distance to a really good food market, 5 min walk from a 7/11, and is on a road with lots of shops, street food & massage places. It's about a 25 min walk from the old city gate too. The shower was really powerful, however, sometimes the toilet had a sewage smell. The staff were friendly and helpful too.

The door to my bedroom was kind of wonky, meaning there was a permanent gap between the door frame & the door when the door was closed. I'm sure mosquitos were able to get into the room as a result. I also felt that there weren't many breakfast options, and the ones that were there weren't that great (e.g. the pastries were hard). They had an omelette station though.

The staff are so warm and welcoming. Love the Thai style of building made of wood with beautiful pool area. Chilled out and quiet vibe round the pool -not too many people in cool & dry season (late January). The room was spacious and cleaned every day. The hotel is walking/ tuk tuk distance from loads of bars, restaurants and markets. Overall good value for money.

My only very small complaint would be that I’ve had better breakfasts in thailand, some of the food lacked flavour eg. the clear soup. That said, we also had pool side food (satay chicken and spring rolls) and they were great, I think it’s more the breakfast that has some room for improvement.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Beautiful room, the large ornate bed was very comfortable and the balcony was lovely. Nice big shower, good air con. The breakfast was good, but not excellent compared to other places we stayed in Thailand. Great pool, we used it on the last afternoon after checking out, before our overnight train which was nice. Great location for walking around the old city, short walk to local street food market which was great. Overall a lovely stay in a beautiful hotel with a real old fashioned charm.

Not really a criticism of the actual hotel but.... Chiang Mai has so much to offer that we spent very little time at the hotel and kind of wished we had got something cheaper and more basic for this part of our trip. It's a personal thing but worth thinking about if you are not in Chiang Mai long and will be out all day, and then in the evening as well. If you plan to spend a bit of time in the hotel then Pingmivan is lovely and I would recommend it.

A little oasis in a busy town. Loved the teak carvings everywhere and the teak structure. The pool and trees around it were beautiful. The rooms were large and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was so delicious with both western and Thai food so something for everyone. The restaurant setting was beautiful as it was on a verandah with a view of the pool and a pond of koi fish. There is a 7/11 shop just up the road and plenty of great massage places and restaurants. Being in the old town was so convenient.

Room was lovely. The bed and bedding super comfy. Service at the poolside and room service was great, especially being able to get meals and cocktails. Getting around Chiang Mai/Thailand to the visitor requires getting a handle on using the local Grab service for timely pickup/drop off at selected locations without being ripped off by opportunistic cab/Tuk Tuk services.

The bar ran out of white wine during our stay, probably partly due to our requests! TV reception, was poor not a biggie on holidays, but an easy fix.

The hotel is beautiful, with ornate design and decor. Rooms are spacious with ornate carved polished wood furniture and bathrooms with a spa bath. The pool area is gorgeous to relax around and as others have said, this feels like a lavish oasis whilst in a busy city. The staff were all fabulous and breakfast consisted of a wonderful array of Thai food, continental pastries,yoghurt, fruits, cereals and an egg station. Something for everyone! The delight of this is that each morning it slightly changes providing a great opportunity to try different Thai foods. Overall we had a beautiful stay in this gorgeous and comfortable hotel. I chose the Executive suite that opens directly out to the pool area and the hotel kindly provided an extra bed as there were three of us. On checking out we had several hours before catching the overnight train to Bangkok, the hotel had a luggage room for us to store our luggage and we were able to continue to enjoy the pool area with toilet and shower before we left. For us, everything was perfect ❤️🙏🏻❤️

We were immediately surprised at how beautiful this hotel is. We were welcomed by very friendly and hospitable employees. You enter a beautiful entrance hall followed by a nice path that leads to the idyllic swimming pool. Our room was huge and luxurious. We were on the top floor and had an extra high ceiling. Everything was made of waxed quality wood that doesn't even creak when you walk on it. There is a shower, a hot tub and a large terrace. The room was equipped with everything needed: water, plenty of towels, bathrobes and so much more. You can enjoy delicious food and excellent drinks here throughout the day. The breakfast was sparse, but okay. We can only recommend this hotel! Enjoyed our stay here immensely. By the way, the fitness was an extra plus!
