The hotel was convenient, just outside the Old City area with convenience stores etc. close by. Three of us shared two adjoining rooms which worked very well. The rooms were an adequate size with a double bed for one person although two people in a twin room might have been a tighter fit. My only slight disappointment, which was overcome easily, was a lack of a cupboard for clothes. There were plentiful hangers and hooks and a shelf in a bedside unit. The bed and pillows made for comfortable sleeping. The bathrooms included showers which provided consistently hot water. As the hotel is set back down a laneway from one of the busy streets, the environment was quiet. There is a small, clean pool. Breakfast was provided each morning and the eating area available through the day for relaxation. Breakfast included fresh fruit, cereals, bread which could be toasted and an assortment of hot food. The morning omelettes were particularly fluffy and something to anticipate. Wifi was a reasonable speed. The staff at reception, hospitality and cleaning were all friendly, enthusiastic and helpful which made the stay most relaxing. Although the level of service was consistently warm, a special mention should be given to Art, working during the evenings, for his helpful advice on walking itineraries one evening.

Only negative was that there could have been more storage for clothes as mentioned above.

Great staff always welcoming and helpful. The hotel is really clean. Good water pressure in the showers. Pool is quite nice and clean although a bit small. The beddings were just soooo comfy! Thank you Mrs Tania for the shopping tips!

Triple room did not have a closet or storing place so we had to always fold up clothes and put on chairs. 2 very little windows which made the room quite dark. But in the end, it was not a problem as we were out almost whole day Breakfast was almost same everyday but the basics were nice. Coffee and tea available whole day was most welcoming. The chef was so kind to take eggs orders.

The location of the hotel was great, easy access to all places of interest Our room was spacious, very clean and quiet, despite people saying the motorcycle workshop was noisy we didn't really hear it Breakfast was OK, but what do you expect for the price! All of the staff were very helpful and friendly, we would recommend the hotel, we would stay here again, and the price is excellent Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby and only a few minutes walk to the night markets Bed was a little firm for us but that's just our opinion

Nothing not to like

The location is good. It’s right next to the old town gate so it’s convenient to go there. The amazing part is that it’s not inside the old town so it’s also quiet and easy to be picked up by taxi etc and it’s easy to get around. The price is cheap considering what it offers. I had to print my Laos evisa and the staff helped me in no time which I appreciate. My mom asked for more bottled water and they provided her with extra water since then everyday.

The window in the room is facing the side wall so the natural light is not enough and it’s little bit dark even during the day

Lovely hotel. Nice room size and good shower. Breakfast was very basic however there are a lot of nice restaurants in the area. The pool area is small, not a lot of seating area but the pool was great! Nice depth and very warm.

Although it's a great location, it is one road away from the nightlife. Could hear the bass very late into the night. Also the internet connection is SHOCKING. So if you have a room along the back, beware of noise and very bad internet connection.

Everything.except occasional noise.

The only criticism is the mouse which resonates in the tiled corridor when people unlock, lock, and close the doors as they have a very clunky locking mechanism, noisy chain catch which makes more noise if you forget to remove when you open the door. And the doors close hard making more noise Some nights are worse than others such as one night at 2.30 which sounded like the room was being cleaned.next to me.

Spacious room. Good air condition. Nice bathroom. Large safe, a laptop fits easily. Wifi worked pretty well - not ultrafast but good. Two bottles of water everyday, refrigerator in the room. Water boiler but no coffee or tea stuff. However, you could get it for free 24 hours a day in the lobby and the coffee is pretty good. They also have a small snack bar there and sell beer. Location is fantastic. Old town, Thapae Gate just around the corner. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The windows were so small, it‘s like there are none. Main doors close pretty loud, as the walls are not so thick you hear that noise early in the morning or at night when people are active. Breakfast (buffet) was okay but not great, mostly because it was identical every day.

The large comfy bed and pillows, large room, the breakfast. Such a chilled place, soft relaxing music overlooking the pool while having breakfast. Staff are friendly, English limited with some, but the others were good and helpful. The more mature girl on late afternoons was great.

Nothing. Some people may find the back rooms without a balcony a little dark, but I loved the quietness and darkness for a good sleep. No one lives in their room when on holidays, it is just a place to sleep. I would choose the same room again.

Walking distance to restaurant and nightlife, very friendly staff, comfortable bed for a good sleep and spacious room with all what's needed. I had a very warm welcome with great service from the frond desk team.

The breakfast needs to be improved, and I will also share why. Firstly, there were no proud touch in it. You can feel it as it is tasteless like soba noodle and curry. Fried eggs are overproduced in the morning, double stacking. Cherry tomato were not cleaned. Simple basics. Butter pot from the day before, not even cleaned up. Toast is farm house. But there was one more shocking thing, which concerns the food safety. In the morning the cafing dish with ham and sausage were stone-cold, After mentioned the staff turned it on and told me 10 minutes. So, they use the chafing dish for heating it up but, it will never reach a safe core temperature. Food should be hot when adding to the chafing. Chafing dishes are for hot keeping, not for reheating! Great with very disappointing breakfast!

This is a great little hotel. I’ve stayed here several times. The rooms are comfortable and the location is great. It is snuggled down an alley so look for the sign out on the street. The staff is wonderful… we asked for different pillows since the ones in the room were so big and they quickly brought us an alternative!

The breakfast isn’t great but convenient. There is a new breakfast spot right down the street which was a much better option.
