The staffs were extremely helpful and kind. The building we were staying was little bit old but well maintained. Breakfast was great but menus were similar everyday, so we found it little bit boring after the 3rd day. But still great for vegans to stay not worrying about what to eat in the morning. Every day, the room was made up frsh and tidy. It was really comfortable for our whole stay. Location of this resort is awesome. You can reach most of hot spots just walking less than 20mins.

The water in the pool was little too cold and the pool was rather bit small. It could get very crowded if there are more than 4 people in the water at the same time. However, the pool was kept very clean all the time.

Away Thapae Resort was one of the best hotels we've stayed in Thailand (we stay in mostly mid-range hotels). I have to preface this with stating that the hotel is split into 2 buildings - both have pools, one has the workout studio. We stayed in the other one, the side where the check-in lobby area is located in. Both buildings have pools available to us. Beautiful recently new-ish hotel, and so very clean. We loved our room w balcony on a higher floor (with elevator), very spacious room (somehow I forgot to take any photos of our room) and huge bathroom, comfortable bed, desk with chair, another table, and yet another table with coffeemaker, spacious clothes, etc storage area. Big safety box to fit laptops, etc. Fresh towels every day. Balcony had 2 chairs and a table, as well as a drying rack which came in handy to dry off bathing suits after pool use. Everything is so beautifully clean. Plentiful breakfast buffet (7-10:30am). At the bfast, there is a DIY juicer with fresh raw veggies and fruits to juice - and made my morning for 5 mornings in a row. There is a long and narrow pool which we've used twice and it was great, there are several loungers and umbrellas and towel station. This hotel is tucked away from the hustle and bustle, you have nature soothing sounds around you, yet only minutes to walk to the Thapae gate, night market walking street, massage places, cooking schools, bars, restaurants, etc. Very nice and caring staff - esp. at the breakfast and lobby areas. We did order grab food delivery one night and it came to the front desk and they called me. Thank you to Alex, Fern and the entire team. We loved our stay with you.

A real hidden gem in Chiang Mai! 💫 Such a dream! When we arrived we were welcomed on the parking by Alex and his incredible smile and energy! We felt from the first minute that it was going to be an amazing stay but it exceeded our expectations in so many ways! The team was the best! I can't even begin putting in words how we felt lucky and grateful to find this place! It was our best stay in one month of holidays in Thaïland and we already want to go back! Everything was perfect, from the benevolant sweetest team ever to the yoga studio (where I was able to practice on my own), to the lovely warm and quiet jacuzzi, to the bed that felt like a cloud (best bed ever!), to the beautiful hotel facilities, to our last breakfast (mango smoothie bowl and banana pancakes! - so yummy!)... Thank-you to all the team, Andy, Yaya, Mam, Aoy, Hom, Mana, Alex and all the others! Your benevolance, smiles, authenticity and kindness have made our stay magical! ✨️ We can't wait to be back! We Loved everythiiiiiing!!!

we stayed in a poolside room, which was amazing. The pool was a little cold, but it still was so nice to have the food in the restaurant is delicious and reasonably priced. The staff are amazing and friendly (Dream was the best concierge!) and so helpful with suggestions. It was my birthday while I was there, and they left a surprise treat in our room. We really just loved this little property and it’s close to everything, especially the east gate of the historic walled town. The sound of the frogs around the fountain areas singing to each other at night was magical.

There wasn’t much that we didn’t like, other than the robes were a little small, and we didn’t read the fine print that they are an alcohol free resort, so no bar on site or beer for purchase.

The hotel is lovely, the staff welcoming and helpful. My room was very comfortable, with a balcony and a giant bathroom that included shower and bath. The room also had a proper desk, perfect for work. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the vegan restaurant, where I had dinner twice and both times the food was very tasty, fresh and flavorful. The decoration of the hotel and rooms is refined and not overwhelming. The hotel is very close to the Eastern Gate (Thapae gate), so it is a practical choice for visiting the old city.

One thing that cannot be fixed unfortunately is the location of the hotel: it is on a soy (a small side street typical of Thai cities). The soy is quite narrow and empty, with a few derelict buildings around. Right now there is also construction across the soy so except not so much noise, but a view on the construction site and workers.

A small hotel with a cozy friendly feel. Minutes walk to old town, night markets etc. but has an almost rural feel to it, in a quiet but very safe back street area. The staff are conscientious and very helpful and professional. The main porter gave us lots of advice on places to visit, and was able tell us lots about the city beyond that of the usual tourist guide. The kitchen and service staff in the restaurant were also exceptional, Andy, Kwang and Som were such lovely people who provided amazing , and varied breakfasts . A great team.

Location is fantastic, close to east gate and walking distance to old town. Vegan breakfast buffet is large with variety. Hot dishes changed each day. Staff were excellent. Alex the doorman at that front of the property is wonderful and helpful. Facilities are clean and comfortable.

The price of additional resort activities are not great compared to others in town but as a result we didn't do them and can't comment on if they are worth the price. The room itself was slightly small to fit two large suitcases but was a minor issue.

What there is not to like?the best hotel in all of Thailand (we have been to so many)cozy ,the kindest personalitys are working in this hotel ,smart English speaking personnel ,the best food that we ate in Thailand and vegan 100% with the best quality ingredients,superb breakfast ,all rooms look towards the swimming pool , soundproof rooms (wich is rare to find in Thailand),place to rent and park your bike (rent bike from hotel)we felt like we have visited our family on holidays,the hotel is located in the centre of everything that chiang Mai has to offer from bars to laundry shops ,from night bazars to flower festival in a walking distance. All this is possible to the leadership manager mrs Sirikat,we saw this lovely lady inspecting everything from breakfast to how the personnel was dressed or looked We need such leaders because it is important to be perfect everyday not ones every now and then,her kindness and politeness is the highest in Thailand transmitting her love to the rest of the hotel

All good things finish fast

The hotel is small but beautiful, very clean and well kept. The food was fantastic! The breakfast buffet includes traditional Thai options and Western options, and everything was delicious. I enjoyed my meals and the restaurant as well. There's also a Thai dessert buffet every afternoon, which is a nice opportunity to try some local flavors. I also loved having vegan snacks in the mini bar. The pool is great and I used it a lot during the hot afternoons. The location is excellent - it's a short walk from the Sunday Night Market and you can also easily get to some of the other night markets and popular sights. The staff was very friendly and kind.

I don't recommend getting a massage at the hotel. The masseuse doesn't communicate well and doesn't respect personal boundaries.

The breakfast was fine. We enjoyed the vegan pancakes and vegan sausages. The ginger tea was a nice little bonus that I wasn't expecting. They show you to your room and I thought that was a nice touch. The only time I have had that done was at 5-star hotels. Additionally, one particular staff I would like to recognize is Alex. He was very helpful from the moment we checked in and made us feel welcome. After we left, my 7-year-old daughter noticed that she left her little purse, I asked the grab driver to turn around, so I want to have to hear her cry about her purse being left. As we were at the red light, we noticed Alex and he had my daughter's purse. Talk about going above and beyond! How did he make it there so fast. If I had a 1000 thb with me, I was very impressed, he definitely should get a raise for the type of service he provides for the hotel. I will be telling all of my coworkers, family, and friends about this hotel when they travel to Thailand.

There wasn't much about the hotel that I didn't like.
