- Walking distance to East Gate, Chinatown and Sunday Market - Spacious and beautifully designed room (new building) - Comfy slippers - Strong and working Aircon - Clean pools (our room had access to the pools and it was lovely to just take a dip whenever we wanted :) ) - Delicious vegan buffet: the items change every day (except for cereals, fruit, juices etc). Some of my favourites included the fresh juicer, soy coffee machine, spinach soup and fried chickpea tofu - The STAFF are friendly and amazing. Special shoutout to Beem, Orn, Mana, Alex, Fern! - Close to several good Massage places!

The gym facilities could be better/bigger; currently there is one x-trainer, one treadmill, one bench and some free weights.

The staffs were extremely helpful and kind. The building we were staying was little bit old but well maintained. Breakfast was great but menus were similar everyday, so we found it little bit boring after the 3rd day. But still great for vegans to stay not worrying about what to eat in the morning. Every day, the room was made up frsh and tidy. It was really comfortable for our whole stay. Location of this resort is awesome. You can reach most of hot spots just walking less than 20mins.

The water in the pool was little too cold and the pool was rather bit small. It could get very crowded if there are more than 4 people in the water at the same time. However, the pool was kept very clean all the time.

The stay was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The staff were outstanding, extremely friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Their hospitality truly made us feel welcome and well taken care of throughout our visit. The room itself was spacious and beautifully designed, with high-quality furnishings and plenty of light. The bathroom was equally impressive, massive in size with modern amenities, a luxurious shower, and everything kept impeccably clean. One of the highlights was definitely the private jacuzzi on the balcony. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind while enjoying the view. Whether it was soaking in the hot water at night under the stars or enjoying a quiet morning dip, it made the whole experience feel extra special. Overall, this was one of the most memorable and comfortable stays we’ve ever had, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend it to others.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The location of the property was perfect—tucked away in a peaceful laneway, offering a quiet retreat while still being just a short walk from shops, cafés, a variety of restaurants, and the beautiful Old City. It was both tranquility and convenience. The breakfast was delicious featuring a wide variety of options. We enjoyed the food throughout our stay and chose to dine at the on-site restaurant on three of our four nights. In addition to the bottled water, they also provided drinking water at various places throughout the premises The staff really made our stay memorable. They were consistently helpful, warm, and welcoming—always greeting us with a genuine smile and eager to assist in any way they could. The facilities were excellent. The entire property was clean and very well maintained. We stayed in a pool access room, which was beautifully decorated, modern, and comfortable. Having direct access to the pool was a luxurious touch and absolutely worth the extra cost. We wouldn't hesitate to return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, well-located, and beautifully run place to stay, we also thought it was good value for what we paid

The pools were lovely and enjoyed by our son. They try to be environmentally responsible and we loved the vegan breakfast buffet!!

There was some confusion each time we tried to pay for breakfast. I didn’t realize it wasn’t included in my booking. The booking included a 10% discount on meals. Some staff didn’t know about it. Also it was unclear that you couldn’t use the 10% discount along with the 100 baht discount for declining housekeeping services. We do appreciate that in an attempt to reduce waste, many hotels offer bonuses for declining housekeeping.

Away Thapae Resort was one of the best hotels we've stayed in Thailand (we stay in mostly mid-range hotels). I have to preface this with stating that the hotel is split into 2 buildings - both have pools, one has the workout studio. We stayed in the other one, the side where the check-in lobby area is located in. Both buildings have pools available to us. Beautiful recently new-ish hotel, and so very clean. We loved our room w balcony on a higher floor (with elevator), very spacious room (somehow I forgot to take any photos of our room) and huge bathroom, comfortable bed, desk with chair, another table, and yet another table with coffeemaker, spacious clothes, etc storage area. Big safety box to fit laptops, etc. Fresh towels every day. Balcony had 2 chairs and a table, as well as a drying rack which came in handy to dry off bathing suits after pool use. Everything is so beautifully clean. Plentiful breakfast buffet (7-10:30am). At the bfast, there is a DIY juicer with fresh raw veggies and fruits to juice - and made my morning for 5 mornings in a row. There is a long and narrow pool which we've used twice and it was great, there are several loungers and umbrellas and towel station. This hotel is tucked away from the hustle and bustle, you have nature soothing sounds around you, yet only minutes to walk to the Thapae gate, night market walking street, massage places, cooking schools, bars, restaurants, etc. Very nice and caring staff - esp. at the breakfast and lobby areas. We did order grab food delivery one night and it came to the front desk and they called me. Thank you to Alex, Fern and the entire team. We loved our stay with you.

This hotel made our 5 day trip to chiang mai perfect! It is a fully vegan hotel with amazingly delicious thai food! The rooms are also super clean and have everything that is required to wind down after a day of exploring the cities! The staff of Away Chiang Mai are amazing and make you feel right at home! I want to also thank Alec who works at the front reception for being so nice and kind and always making sure to greet you and help whenever he can! If I ever visit chiang mai again, I’ll definitely stay at Away!

Nothing, everything was amazing!

The hotel is immaculate clean. Nothing too much trouble for the friendly staff. Our room had direct pool access with our own little mini jacuzzi. The beds were as comfy as the best we’ve ever slept in. 2 minutes walk to restaurants, bars, coffee shops. Tut Tuks are 3 minutes walk away as are a lot of western business such as McDonalds, Burger King, etc etc. We tended to keep our dining to the local restaurants. Can’t comment on the food in the hotel as it is a Vegan retreat with no bar, but that was no issue to us. One of the very best hotels we’ve ever stayed in.

Absolutely nothing at all

A real hidden gem in Chiang Mai! 💫 Such a dream! When we arrived we were welcomed on the parking by Alex and his incredible smile and energy! We felt from the first minute that it was going to be an amazing stay but it exceeded our expectations in so many ways! The team was the best! I can't even begin putting in words how we felt lucky and grateful to find this place! It was our best stay in one month of holidays in Thaïland and we already want to go back! Everything was perfect, from the benevolant sweetest team ever to the yoga studio (where I was able to practice on my own), to the lovely warm and quiet jacuzzi, to the bed that felt like a cloud (best bed ever!), to the beautiful hotel facilities, to our last breakfast (mango smoothie bowl and banana pancakes! - so yummy!)... Thank-you to all the team, Andy, Yaya, Mam, Aoy, Hom, Mana, Alex and all the others! Your benevolance, smiles, authenticity and kindness have made our stay magical! ✨️ We can't wait to be back! Swimming pool great General atmosphere and vibe of hotel was lovely In spite of my negative comments I would stay again

1. Breakfast was difficult for kids 2. Booked one room for 1 adult and 2 kids only to find that the expectation was that we would all sleep on a big king size bed together. Not a reasonable expecation I paid more for them to add a fold away 3. Water in bathroom was not hot enough and water pressure poor 4. Toilet flush very weak - I think a geberal issue in chiang mai
