Wippanan is my go to when I need comfort and nurturing. The rooms are extremely comfortable, great ammenities, Close to everything you'll need. I've been staying here for over 10 years, and they consistently exceed my expectations. The staff are the creme of the crop and go out of their way to make your stay a top drawer experience. It's a family run business and they treat you like family while you're there. I want to mention the restaurant. The food is quite delicious. The glass noodle dish and Tom Yum soup is excellent! Plus, they have lovely coffees, a terrace to sit down an enjoy.

Grand Wippanan continues to retain and cultivate the authentic heart and soul of traditional Thai culture. I've consistently stayed at the hotel, both as a resident and a guest, and the experience never disappoints. The rooms are large, clean, and comfortable, and the ammenities well appointed. You really have all that you need. I like the location, as the hotel is situated a bit out if town, but is still close, even within walking distance to everything. There is a restaurant with an outdoor terrace, pool, and gym. The staff are consistently second to none in accommodating their guests and go beyond the rim to make you feel welcome.

I stayed for two weeks in one of their Studios. The Studio has a separate area for the bedroom. I could cook in the room. I have read reviews complaining about the lack of cutlery, glasses, pans, bowls, etc, but they will send it to your room upon request. Every day, they leave two bottles of water in the Studio. I also did not have any issues with noise from other guests or the street. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom had a shower and a bathtub too. They maintain everything clean. They have a gym with 2 treadmills and 2 Elliptical Trainers. They also have 8 to 25-lb dumbbells and a pull-up bar wall to exercise your back. The pool was always clean, and there were only 3 hours of direct light, so the water was not warm, but that was fine. The staff is always willing to help. I used bolt (moto) to go to the city center, and it took me about 7 minutes only. Thank you!

I had a short but comfortable stay at The Grand Wipanan Residence. Although it’s slightly away from Chiang Mai’s city center, it’s still conveniently located near a local fresh produce market, various shops, and all the amenities you might need, including convenience stores and laundry facilities. The hotel itself is spotless and offers great amenities like a gym and a pool, which I really appreciated. My room had a nice balcony with a view of the hills, and the bathrooms were very clean and comfortable. This place offers a yummy breakfast. The staff are friendly and supportive. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and I’d definitely recommend it for a convenient and relaxing visit

I like the size of the apartment. room service available daily. ping pong is available. The staff will provide anything you ask . staff are good , Daily News paper in the lobby available. coin Washing machine available to wash your clothes

the pool and gym are too Small, even the pool is unsafe to use, cos I injured my right leg on that , cos there is no way to get out and get in to pool, no stairs nothing.., slippery too , probably no cleaning, there are sharp concrete every where around the pool. the gym don't have much either. the hotel is too close to the main road, so traffic noice won't let you sleep.

I stayed in a large studio apartment with a small kitchen and a sitting area, as well as a nice balcony. Great location, just across the street from a wonderful fresh produce and cook food market, and a short walking distance to Tops supermarket and seven eleven. Not walking distance to downtown, expect to need transportation for that. There’s free indoor parking in the building, as well as coin laundry, a small gym and swimming pool. The room gets cleaned daily and water bottles provided.

I stayed for 10 days, the swimming pool was closed for maintenance the whole time I was there. The building feels like it’s not greatly maintained.

Wippanan, is a fantastic place to rest your head for a day of a year! The hotel has a great community feeling about it, largely due to the staff. Such efficiency in everything they do. If one can't help you, they'll be on the phone finding someone who can. The rooms are comfortable, and the variety of lighting is excellent. Nice fridge to store perishables and they have a tea/coffee set that is replenished daily. Excellent hotel. Pool, gym, and restaurant are available as well.

The apartment is a good size, they will clean every day. Kitchen was good size. TV have cable channels. Good size fridge. Bathroom was good size. You can Play ping pong, daily news paper in front. Coffee shop Infront too .close to Market you can open windows for fresh air.

Too close to the main road, noisy at night because of the traffic. Pool and gym are too small. Pool have sharp objects beside the pool edge's, be careful when using the pool. The toilet near the pool was not working.

Very clean and spacious 1br apartment which had everything I needed.

Although I was on the 6th floor, I could hear traffic until about 11 p.m., but it was pretty quiet after that until around 7–7:30 a.m. When I checked out, a staff member inspected the room to ensure everything was in order. She sent a photo of the blanket (which I hadn’t used) showing brown stains on it. These stains definitely weren’t caused by me, as I had only used the quilt cover since it was too hot to sleep with the blanket. I felt like the receptionist was accusing me of causing the stains but then simply said, “It’s ok,” and returned my deposit.

This is my favorite hotel in Chiang Mai. It's family owned and it feels like home. The employees here are hospitable and polite. They also act quickly to address guest requests. I like the overall feeling of this hotel and am comfortable with the open community spirit! They go out of their way to ensure your comfort. There's a lovely pool and gym; a restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and expresso coffees. The food here is excellent. Can't wait to return
