The pool area was laid out really nice and the chairs looked really comfortable. I did not take the opportunity to utilize the area, but it looked refreshing and welcoming. My son and I had the chocolate chip pancakes every morning, and they were not only light and fluffy, but the presentation was very elegant and what you would expect at a gourmet restaurant. Kudos for making us feel right at home. The location of ISTY was perfect as my son was attending the massage school across the alley, and though we only had one key card, the staff was very gracious in letting me into the room when I ventured out on my own.

Two key cards to allow one for me and one for my son. As I was venturing out while he was in classes, when I returned to the room, I was unable to access the electricity as the key card needed to be in its' slot on the wall by the door. As it was unseasonable hot (April 19th-26th, with temps 100-115 degrees), it would have been great to relax in the room and enjoy the air conditioning when I returned from my visit to the Old City, or from the elephant sanctuary. A card is generally automatically issued to each occupant of a room. Had I pursued it, I probably could have justified my request for one...not a huge issue, though!

Very comfortable hotel with spacious, clean rooms. Nice lobby/seating area downstairs with a seperate air conditioned workspace room. Cafe and restaurant open mornings and early afternoon. Reasonable priced breakfast/lunch. Fridge with drinks and snacks for sale. 24hour coffee, tea and juice available. Staff were always friendly.

Nothing major to complain about really. Maybe staff could have been a bit more attentive to the pool area. Often the used pool towel basket was overflowing onto the floor. And at times there were beer bottles left by the pool from the night before (more the responsibility of person drinking the beer to clear but anyway..) Bar was also closed during our stay, although you could buy beers/wine etc from reception and bring them to the rooftop

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Isty Hotel, and I must say that my experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived until the day I checked out, the staff made me feel so welcome and comfortable. I stayed for 10 nights, and during that time, everything was perfect. One of the things that stood out to me about the Isty Hotel was the fast internet connection. As someone who needs to work remotely, this was a game-changer for me. They also have a co-working room which was fantastic. It was spacious, quiet, and equipped with everything I needed to get my work done. The pool area was another highlight of my stay. It was the perfect place to unwind after a long day of work or exploring the city. The staff were always on hand to provide me with towels and drinks, making my experience all the more enjoyable. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff at the Isty Hotel. They were so friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout my stay. They assisted me in renting a scooter and arranging tours, which made my trip so much more memorable. The price of the hotel was also very reasonable, given the quality of the facilities and service. The rooms were spotlessly clean, and the breakfast options were fantastic. The only minor thing I could suggest for improvement would be to add more variety to the breakfast options, such as rice dishes for breakfast. Overall, my experience at the Isty Hotel was fantastic, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, affordable, and convenient place to stay in the area. The staff, facilities, and service were all top-notch, and I look forward to staying there again in the future.

A little bit away from the main city, like the Old Town or tha Phae Gate (you have to take a taxi which may cost you about 150-200 Thai Baht) The outdoor pool is not heated

This is my second stay at this hotel. It's perfect for long stays as well as short stays. Again meeting fellow travelers at the pool and the co-working / creative space happens on the daily. (except when it rains) Juice, coffee, and hot cocoa available all day for free. I like ordering the full breakfast. You will be full. Like an American breakfast with hash-browns, sausage, toast etc. but with vegetables on the side.. A lot healthier. The hotel is very appealing to the younger and middle age travelers. Very hip hotel. Clean and modern. Cant beat the price for what you are getting. Most of the staff are very courteous and very thoughtful. You feel good at this hotel. Great place to get some work done as well.

The hotel could use a dedicated luggage trolley. In the meantime they let me use a trolley from house keeping though so its no problem getting my luggage to my room and out

Clean, spacious, and stylish room. There was a minor issue on the bathroom sink, but it was fixed right away. Room cleaning was upon a request. I had it every other day during my stay and a charming cleaning lady took care of it perfectly. Airport shuttle bus stop (nearby Chiang Mai Bus Terminal 1) was not too far from this place. Restaurants and Cafes around this place seem to be slightly cheaper than old town.

The staff was SO friendly. Their amenities such as the study room area was such a nice place in the lobby to be able to unwind and be inside AC and read a book on their couch. The location was amazing! So many dinner bbq spots and street food within walking distance of the hotel! Plus a 7/11 only a 5 minute walk away. There were also a bunch of different coffee shop options very close to us!

We didn’t have a shower door which ended up being totally fine! Water was contained to just the shower section! Also on the last night we were there it rained very hard and some water got through the windows we believe but nothing other than a little part of the floor was wet! And the staff was so apologetic and offered to switch rooms which wasn’t necessary! We just wiped the floor.

Only hotel where travelers are actually chilling by the pool! This place has an awesome choice for breakfast options (paid) and a Cafe/Bistro that is also indoors with AC. On top of that there is the creative and work spaces available across from the pool where you will find huge workstations for your laptops, or music instruments or whatever you need for working. The creative/workspace is indoors and air conditioned too. This hotel is pretty chic, with a boutique style and seems set up for the single and group travelers. Not so much for families with kids.

Only thing worth mentioning would be the "walky talky" radios the maid staff use to communicate during cleaning will wake you up if you are sleeping odd hours.

We have been staying at ISTY for the last three winters. This year was our third year. The hotel was under renovation when we stayed. However, the people doing the renovation did their best not to disturb us. The staff was very friendly and understanding as always. In fact, they are too understanding and do not warn the Chinese children who make noise in the common area late at night. We were pleased with the hotel again and will come again.

Very modern and clean design with a dedicated work space on the first floor— near the pool but in an enclosed glass room so you still get a nice view. The rooms are bright and spacious. It’s on a quiet alley in a busy neighborhood that’s a mix of local and tourist. There are a lot of restaurants, cafes, and markets nearby that are cheaper than in the old city (which isn’t far ~25min walk). Very friendly and helpful staff .

Wifi on the first floor was great, but in the room it was very weak , to the point I just turned it off and used my data. If I needed to do something on my computer I would have to go to the first floor. Walls were a little thin , not a huge problem except for the family across from me whose kid screamed and cried the entire time they were in the room (not really the hotel’s fault, I just don’t think this place is ideal for families with young kids).
