Loved this place. Staff were very nice and very helpful.

Smallest bacon serving I’ve ever had :0 but it was funny. Breakfast pretty average. But everything was great. Rooms were so nice and relaxing. Loved the spot. Off the road enough to be quiet. Location was pretty good. Not too far walk to some markets and temples .We had car so was fine. The garden near the rooms and where breakfast is is fantastic. Really sets a mood. Was one of my favourite spots on my trip and maybe favourite in Chiang Mai and been to a few. Water is very good price that they sell. Beer too from memory. The staff were very helpful eith showing us the area on a map and with coming to help show us the washing.

Very friendly and warm people at the reception and breakfast. Allways there to help. Good location nearby Chang Pual Night Food Market.m and in a calm less turistic neighbourhood, what for me was very good. Less farang people than inside the old town. Breakfast was tasty, Thai style omelette. Good coffee.

The communication from the staff prior to our arrival was wonderful and helpful. It gave us everything we needed to know to get to the White Elephant Home. When you arrive you get a quick description of the surrounding area. The room was neat, clean and in great condition. The staff there are very polite and helpful. We had a late departing flight, and they arranged for us to stay in the room for a small fee. We would not have been able to explore more of the city as the temperature was 90F/32C. I lost an item while in Chaing Mai. When we got home, they responded through Booking.com messaging to answer my question. It is quite close to a vibrant night market and you can see and experience the Chaing Mai Roti Man! We arranged for two tours directly through the hotel. We didn't like the all-day trip to Chaing Rai. Too much for one day. I would not recommend that tour or company. This is not a reflection on The White Elephant Home. The night tour of Dol Suthrep and Wat Umong they arranged is great. It is a paper brochure in the laminated booklet they provide you to choose options. Breakfast is good. There is both chilled and room temp mineral water available 24 hours. They also fill the kettle daily in the room. Bathroom is good. We had a nice sitting area in front of our room. The area is completely safe. I walked to the night market around 10PM and had no misgivings about doing so.

I really don't think there are any negatives. It was a great value for the cost.

The management / staff were very friendly, cheerful and helpful.They gave me directions to places that I wanted to go to and also assisted me to book a GrabCar to the airport the next day. The staff also provided me with an umbrella when I thought it was going to rain on my way out to visit a nearby temple. Room is very spacious, clean and the mattress is very comfortable. The hotel also provides a complimentary breakfast which is very delicious and a water dispenser to fill up your water bottles which is very thoughtful. It is a short 5 - 8 minutes walk from Chang Phuak Night Market and there are a few eateries within a 2 - 5 minutes walk.

The hotel should upgrade some of the fittings in the room like a shower screen to prevent water from splashing the bathroom floor wet and also to install a day curtain. It is rather inconvenient to have to draw the curtains every time I have a change of clothes. There were also times that I needed some privacy when I'm resting in the room but at the same time I prefer to have natural light streaming into the room. I can't enjoy the natural light and have some privacy at the same time as there is only a blackout curtain which when drawn will plunge the entire room into darkness unless the lights are switched on.

The location is perfect for those wanting calmness and remoteness while being so close to the city center. The room was very spacious with a private balcony. The bed is very large and the pillows were soft and comfortable. The hosts have given us information, recommendations and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast has both asian and western options- however we have no tried them because of the many dishes we ate at the street food night market close to the hotel (we do recommend it)

Rooms clean, well-kept. The bathroom too. Cleaned every day. The Internet is definitely a plus. The place was a bit away from the noise of the city, which was a plus for us. But close to 7eleven and to a square with a large selection of street food. 5 minutes' walk to the city walls. Atmospheric, family place, very helpful owner. Nice trips from the guesthouse. The breakfast was fantastic. A lot of choice, between something Asian and European. I was always super full. I definitely recommend it.

Great and cozy family hotel located close to an important street in Chiang Mai and to the commercial area. The ladies from the reception were super kind and caring. They gave us a lot of excellent information regarding tours to the attractions close by. The excursions were just amazing. The rooms were big and comfortable, and the breakfast had different nice and good options. My family had a pleasent stay, definitely this place is highly recommended!

Amazing hospitality from Tham, the lady who runs the place! One of the friendliest and most helpful I've encountered in Thailand. The room is modern and comfortable, equipped with all amenities such as a wardrobe, water kettle, and fridge. Excellent options are available for booking day trips and renting a scooter through the hotel, along with a good and affordable laundry service. While the location is not in the inner old town of Chiang Mai, it is very close to an evening food market and within a 10-15 minute walking distance to the old town.

Upon arrival, staff were immediately very helpful. I felt as if they were my own family and wanted to help us as much as they could from telling us to leave our luggage so that they could help us bring it up the stairs, to delicious breakfast meals every morning. If you need to do laundry, the hotel is right next to a laundromat. Amazing temples and night market, as well as 7-11 nearby. The room itself was spacious and comforting. It was nice to come back home from a busy day out to a comfy bed and nice shower. Water bottle free every day. We told them we didn’t need room cleaning every day-they were very kind enough to always leave toilet paper and water outside our door without knocking-assuming they didn’t want to bother us. Room we booked has a nice balcony and mini fridge. There’s also toothbrushes and shower caps in bathroom. Just looking outside the room balcony to view the beautiful sky and surrounding nature was very calming. Will definitely come back again, such a beautiful stay. ❤️ Thank you again White Elephant Home!

This is a little family run hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and tried to make you comfortable. The breakfast was plenty and was included in the price. The hotel is extremely well maintained. The room was large with sitting area and seperate room for sleeping. WiFi was working well.

The water pressure was low and the hotel is positioned far from the tourists spots and restaurants. However, nearby there is taxi ramp with plenty of options.
