Excellent stay, room was very clean,large and modern. Pool access on first floor. Facilities were clean and well kept. Staff were friendly. Moon terrace restaurant was exceptional, best food in Thailand.

Nothing really maybe breakfast little more western seems to be catered for the Chinese.

The location was perfect, close enough to the beach and local markets. At the same time private the road into the hotel made it feel far from all the noise. Breakfast had lots of fresh fruit and a mix of continental/thai dishes. We had booked a villa so the sun stayed on our side the entire time, which was great for us. You can book different tours through them if you prefer that.

Shower and toiled doors had soap stains, that seemed to be left like that for a while. We found a large roach(fearing thats what it was) size bug on the side sofa. As I mentioned the sun was on our side the entire time, thus, I wouldn't recommend staying at suits, which had no sun at all. Rooftop terrace was highly overrated and the wait for our food was 50min with no people at the restaurant. Would recommend staying at the restaurant downstairs. We asked for an adapter at the reception, one of the senior staff members was incredibly rude to us, when he could have just said they don't have it.

The whole hotel was beautiful. So many pools and we really enjoyed wandering through all of the lagoons and exploring the HUGE complex. The buffet was nice, lots of choices (Asian and Western), which was nice. Having our own private pool in our villa was also amazing. We had dinner at the fancy roof top restaurant, which was lovely. And at the standard restaurant, and it was nice. Some other reviews complained about the walk to the Main Street, but we found it lovely. It was pretty flat if you walk through the villas out their back entrance behind Himmaphan bar, and not far to walk down to the street. Plus there was an amazing massage spot right there at the entrance from the street, they were amazing and well priced. Go left and there is a close convenience store, go right and walk 1-2km, up past Burger King and you’ll find the night food market. Which was very yum. And lotsa of choices.

Our aircon didn’t work and kept turning itself off, so night 2 in the middle of the night we were moved rooms to the villa next door. It clearly wasn’t 100% ready for use yet, as there was some things incomplete in the room. Worst of all the new room (1102 I think?) was right next door to the first one, but the noise was so much worse!! Right next to the staff entry/exit, there was a lot of light coming through at night (the first room was pitch black!) and so much noise!! We didn’t want to move rooms again so didn’t complain, hoping they’d move us back to 1101 when the aircon was fixed, but no such luck. Beds were also very hard and uncomfy for my wife’s nurse injured back. But we managed to get through.

This resort is a great oasis hidden in the middle of Kata. Once you're in the grounds, it's super peaceful. The rooms are fantastic and the pool is amazing, most rooms appear to have pool access of some sort. We also enjoyed great meals at the restaurant a few times during our stay. All the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. In particular, the staff in the restaurant and the guys at pool bar were wonderful.

Other reviewers commented on the "long driveway" to get in and out. However, the guys at reception were always happy to run us back and forth in a golf buggy upon request, which gets you out to the main street. And honestly, if you have kids with you, just use Bolt or inDrive to order a tuktuk or a car to the beach. It costs around $100-150 Baht and we didn't wait longer than a few minutes each time. It's also worth noting that the breakfast buffet caters for mostly Russian & Chinese tastes. So if you're looking for a continental or North American breakfast, you might be better going to a local cafe.

We had a fantastic stay at this resort. From the minute we arrived we were treated fantastically, with warm welcomes and very attentive staff. Our room was exceptional. We had decided to go for one of the room options which had its own private plunge pool. The pool and outside area were clean, tidy and styled very nicely. Internally the room was very clean, and also very spacious. The bathroom was big, with a free standing bath and lovely shower areas. The grounds and pool areas are kept very well. They were always very clean and tidy. The pools were very well designed, with an almost lazy river style pool running around an entire hotel area, and waterfall features in numerous spots. The restaurants and bars provided a really great selection of foods and beverages, all of which were reasonably priced (breakfast was included). It’s definitely worth checking out the Moon Terrace rooftop bar, which was located on the roof of one of the apartment blocks. Great views from here, and the interior of the bar was very high class. A special mention to some of the staff which made our stay even more enjoyable. Reen who greeted us on arrival, and showed us around our room was extremely helpful, welcoming and a credit to metadee resort. Both Peeta & Piso who were bar tending when we visited the moon terrace bar were both very attentive, well presented, and friendly. Mickal was also extremely helpful, he went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed, and even ordered us a special breakfast (vegan) which he had arranged with the chefs. All of the ladies at reception were extremely helpful and generous, and even helped my partner set up a SIM card (in Thai). They couldn’t of been more helpful. I would highly recommend this resort, exceptional faculties and staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would love to come back in the future.

Hotel cannot be flawed

Great hotel! Clean, modern rooms, absolutely beautiful staff. The pools are wonderful and they make the best mango smoothie I’ve ever had. The location is set back from the road about 1km so it’s quiet, and tucked away from the bustle, but there is a pick up and drop off golf cart service so you don’t have to walk the long driveway if you don’t want to. The location is central in Kata with loads of shopping, restaurants and markets within an easy walk in either direction. The hotel runs a shuttle bus to the beach 3 times a day, but that is also an easy walk, maybe 10minutes. The hotel staff are wonderful and happy to organise drivers and tours if you request. We had a sensational week at Metadee and will be happy to stay again in future.

Having a room with pool access was amazing. Definitely recommend that. The pools are incredible. The location is good.

We like Kata area. It was the second time we go to this hotel. We liked the pool of this hotel. We liked the behavior of the staff. We liked the cleanliness of this room.

You can't go by motorbike to the main hotel parking near the room - breakfast was ordinary, not very good - when I booked I chose the option to pay on site which was 10% more expensive, but the hotel charged the card without my knowledge, which was unprofessional and they didn't refund this extra 10% even when I checked in! And not being informed to pay on the spot, I changed the dollar to baht to pay the fee and I lost 453 dollars from this hotel!!

The property is located outside the crowded area so it is very silenti. The rooms are big, although the wardrobe space is even too much big compared to the bedroom.

The location is not close to the beach. There is a shuttle service, but only 3 times per day and only one way (no return). The bathroom has not privacy because it is linked to the wardrobe, but only separated by glass doors. The level of English of the staff is not very high (except for some department). Cleaning of the rooms (at least for what I am concerned) must definitely be improved given also the level of the hotel. The new buildings/rooms - despite quite new - required more maintenance, but this is mostly due to the kind of weather/climate. Honestly, I think the “old” part is more Thailand style and looks nicer.
