Everything. It was a real jungle experience since you're in the middle of it and we had a huge huge bungalow with hammocks to enjoy the nature sounds. The staff was outstanding and the food was really good. The bed was the most comfortable bed that we had in our month stay in Thailand. There are enough activities to book at the reception and there is a free shuttle from the town a couple of times a day. We regret only booking a couple of days because this was our favourite stay in Thailand. We would definitely come back since it was just awesome.

Don't go here if you don't like the glamping experience. There are tiny animals that can enter your room since you're in the middle of the jungle. We absolutely loved it :)

Beautiful and authentic property. They really have thought about everything we need during our stay. They have a shuttle that takes you into the little village 10 minutes away 4x per day for free, they have a myriad of activities available (including river tubing canoeing, night safari, cooking classes, hikes etc). they have a restaurant open from around 7.30 until around 10pm with lots of options available. They have lots of books and board games available if you’d like. I have seen a few comments about animals and insects, but you’re deep in the jungle and it is serene and beautiful, its nature in its entirety so what do you expect. I recommend wearing lots of sun protection and some mosquito protection. I cannot recommend this accommodation enough. One thing to note is that it is in the jungle next to the Khao Sok national park, so as you can imagine it’s not easy to get to - it does take appx 1.5 hours to get there from surat Thani airport (and I believe about 2 hours from Phuket?) but they offer a coach to bring and take you. Truly spectacular scenery!

Perfect stopover for one night. The kids enjoyed going on inflatable tubes in the river, the bungalows themselves are very cute and give a nice feel of staying in a jungle. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The food was a bit mediocre by Thai standards but again, not a problem for a one night stopper. We also booked a 2 day/1 night stay with them which was lovely. The trips included in the package seemed a bit aimed at tourists a bit too much and we didn’t feel the authenticity but still enjoyed it. Staying on the lake and kayaking around was the highlight for the kids.

Wonderful place in Khao Sok forest near the river. Wooden houses with comfortable beds with mosquito nets. Amazing friendly and helpful staff team. Really tasty food in local restaraunt. Location just in five minutes riding from National park entrance. Quiet area full of trees and flowers. River side with a beach ready to swim. Easy to get any trip or excursion to National park and lake.

The location is exceptional, right on the river. The bungalows are large and spacious. All beds have a mosquito net. Due to the open and airy design of the bungalows, there is no air conditioning but several fans which are perfectly adequate. The water in the room and in the restaurant is free of charge. Water bottles can also be refilled free of charge for activities. The hotel offers a free shuttle bus to the town (ATM) at set times. Outside of these times this service costs a few Baht. The staff is very friendly, attentive, helpful and courteous. There are different breakfast options, all suitable for Europeans. The choice for dinner is extensive. Everything we tried tasted excellent. Our favorite was the cucumber salad. The activities on offer, if we did them, were well worth the price. The river tubing was great fun. Unfortunately, we only did it on our last day, otherwise we would have done it at least a second time.

There is really nothing to criticize, except perhaps that the floor is a bit slippery after showering. But that's complaining at the highest level.

Jungle feeling in the jungle, we saw a snake during dinner, service personal was great, even hold up the flashlight for 20 min to watch the snake.

far away from town, you had to eat quite expensively at the resort restaurant. although it is close to the jungle, you have to take an hour long drive to the national park

I loved the fact it was in the jungle and room was so neat and tidy surrounded by wild life. We had monkeys visit us in the morning, and a huge lizard was on our door at night. The tours were good, in my opinion, especially the trip to the cave [it's challenging but good]. The toilet was spacious and was always clean with all the facilities working.

The in house resturant food quality could be improved and also the free trips to the town could be every one hr instead of every 3 hours would definitely make things alot better.

Such a special, beautiful stay. So relaxing with the jungle sounds and loved seeing all the wildlife. The bungalow right on the river was spectacular and the staff very friendly. Great being able to get the free shuttle into town. The food was good, tubing was so fun and we even saw otters and monitor lizards. The night safari was good but not as jungly as we’d hoped as we followed a path.

We spent quite a lot even though we didn’t do any big trips

It's a cute resort in the middle of the jungle with small animals and nature sounds....the room was exactly as we expected...I also prepared and took with me an insect repellant pluk.which i found useful....but they have a net on the bed also so you should be fine.. the family running this resort are very welcoming..we've done canoing while we were there also which we enjoyed .:) food at dinner was really good also...

Only thing that would have been better maybe is that if there was an air-condition instead of fan...:)

The communication before arriving was great and they helped us book transfers to the cottages and also after our stay. Everything was so easy when booking trips and the food was also fantastic with a great menu with a wide range of choices. We booked the full day tour which was great fun and value for money and Riverside Cottages made it seamless arranging it all for us. The facilities were great with comfy beds, clean rooms and bathroom and enough fans. It felt very homely, safe and comfortable. The staff were also incredibly friendly and hard working.
