This hotel has an extremely high standard for cleanliness, the rooms and hotel grounds are IMPECCABLY clean. The staff are incredibly welcoming, friendly and hospitable. The beds are comfortable. There are many little details in the room that add to the feeling of staying in luxury…beautiful bath robes, slippers, shower gels, shampoo/conditioners etc. Wonderful, hot (powerful) shower. Delicious, home cooked breakfast that cannot be missed with freshly made omelettes and different varieties of hot and cold dishes every morning. Amazing location with parking right out front and beautiful views from the terrace where you can watch the balloons. Walkable to everything but away from the busiest part of the Goreme. Communication was amazing through WhatsApp even before we left for Turkiye. Murat booked our unforgettable experience of a hot air balloon ride with a reputable company. I spent hours researching hotels to stay in Goreme, this was the best decision we made staying here and by far our most memorable stay during our 2.5 weeks in Turkiye. Do not hesitate, just stay here!! You’ll be so glad you did.

Absolutely nothing.

We have just spent a fabulous week in Goreme Cave Lodge, Cappadocia, Turkey. A small, perfectly proportioned, family run hotel just a five minute walk from the centre of Goreme. A brilliant location A varied breakfast buffet was included with the choice of a variety of cooked eggs eg omelette with veg and cheese (or your own choice), fried or scrambled eggs. There was different hot food on offer each day, as well as delicious, fresh crusty rolls, local bread, salads, cheeses, many varieties of olives and jams, Turkish coffee and tea, and freshly made cake and biscuits. This was all served with such friendliness by the staff who couldn’t do enough for you. Our room was spacious with a very comfortable bed, air conditioning and a modern bathroom with powerful shower. A small fridge with a constant supply of free bottled water Each evening, one of the staff would arrive with a plate of fruit (or sometimes mixed nuts) for us both. The staff organised all our trips and told us which ones they would recommend. When I originally booked our trip, I received a WhatsApp message from the hotel asking if we would like them to book our balloon flight. I agreed and they said it was 220 euros each and I could pay when I came. I received a message back telling me it was all sorted and they looked forward to welcoming us. Our trust in them grew when we arrived and they told us our balloon flight had been reduced and was now only 130 euros each! (It was something to do with Turkey trying to attract more tourists to Cappadocia). They then booked our sunset horse ride (making sure the horses were looked after), the Whirling Dervish show and the taxi to take us there and back. The hotel had a beautiful clean swimming pool and a comfortable rooftop terrace where we spent two mornings getting up at 5am to watch the hot air balloons lazily drift over the town. Nothing negative at all

Our stay was so, so wonderful. The staff, location, rooms, and food (literally everything) could not be faulted. The room itself had great aircon (even though the way the rooms are built of stone keeps them cool). The wifi was never below full bars. There was heaps of light in the rooms with windows if you wanted to open them. There is a rooftop terrace with a beautiful setup for photos and relaxing. The pool was so refreshing and you can use it whenever you want. There are loads of sun umbrellas, if like me and my partner, you are sun conscious. But it is the people that really push this place into unforgettable. Murat helped us with organizing a balloon ride, and it was the best location and price. They helped us with organizing shuttles, dinner recommendations, scooter recommendations, where to watch sunset. They made us feel so welcome and looked after. Offered cold drinks when poolside, Turkish coffee in mornings. We felt like royalty. But we saw they just treat all their guests this way. Not ever pushy but always available. Could not fault this place if I tried.

From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home at Göreme Cave Lodge. The comfort, warmth, and hospitality here are truly unmatched. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive—always checking in to see if we were comfortable or needed anything, without ever being intrusive. What truly sets this place apart is the way they go above and beyond for their guests. They surprised my wife with a beautiful birthday cake, which made her day feel extra special and memorable. Every evening, we were treated to delicious complimentary snacks, and during our relaxing moments at the pool, they even offered us free drinks—a lovely touch that made us feel genuinely valued. They also kindly offered help with money transfers when we needed it, showing just how much they care about their guests' comfort and peace of mind. My wife and I have traveled extensively and stayed in many hotels around the world, but this was by far one of the best experiences we’ve ever had in terms of hospitality and comfort. Leaving

Do yourself a favour and stay at this hotel if you are visiting Cappadocia! The location is fantastic, just a short walk into town. Fantastic Cave rooms which are lovely and cool in the harsh heat and the swimming pool is a must have for a swim after the day’s activities! But, it really is the lovely staff that go above and beyond make your stay so memorable, they offered great advice for the many activities that are available and also delicious restaurant recommendations, particularly Seton, amazing views. The rooftop viewing terrace was fantastic to see the balloons and breakfast was always a great spread. They couldn’t have done more, they even offered our brother and sister in law who were staying at another hotel to use the pool and have breakfast with us at no charge!! Absolute highlight of our trip!

That we had to leave as our time ran out.

We really enjoyed our stay. The cave room was beautiful, big and super comfortable in all ways (bed, pillows, temperature, light, bathroom). It's in a very good and calm location, 3min walking to the center of Göreme and with the most beautiful view of Uçhisar castle and landscape. Delicious breakfast by the terrace, with local food as well as more continental options. But the highlight must be the hosts and staff. So helpful, friendly and attentive. They really take care of you and make you feel so welcome and at home. It's a local family business, the owner's grandparents lived exactly where is now the hotel and you can somehow feel the love invested here.

That we didn't stay longer

An unbeatable place: amazing staff, super welcoming, very polite and with a very calm and natural vibe; the hotel is great, according to the photos: a pool to relax, a rooftop for the end of the day or for the early morning to watch the hot air balloons fly over Göreme and very confortable rooms. We enjoyed a lot our one in the cave, a very special and different concept! 5 minutes from the town center, easy to access on foot. The staff helps you with anything. Since the breakfast (which mixes global with local food, it's really good!) until suggesting places or tours to go, they are all really kind and prepared! Consider doing the Turkish bath and spa experience (it's not at the hotel) which is unforgettable! Mr. Murat recommended it and it was 10/10! Special thanks to Mr. Murat and Mr. Abdul for being so helpful and also for keeping so good conversations! All the recommendations they gave us, turned out to be an excelent experience, from tours to shops to buy luggage. Everyone very reliable and good-hearted!

As something to improve, I would mention the pillows. In my opinion, they could be a little bit more "solid" because I felt they were too fluffy. But maybe it's just a matter of my personal taste. We were really happy with everything!

We stayed 2 nights at the property and extensively walked around the town, Pigeon valley and nearby town. The area is very safe and the towns are pleasant to tour. We did most of what we wanted by walking but there are many other options including organized tours. The hotel was ideal for our trip. There is a breakfast area at the top including a carpeted outside sitting area that was great for photos. The bed was comfortable and we were able to arrange laundry services. The owner of the hotel was onsite and did a great job looking after our needs. The hotel team was constantly offering refreshments (tea/coffee) and was very helpful.

I have stayed in countless hotels and visited nearly 100 countries. It is the first time I have taken the time to write a review. Everything was perfect: the room to every detail (water pressure, internet, electrical plug, fridge), the service from very good breakfast and little touches like late afternoon snacks to accommodating every personal need: private airport shuttle, balloon, private taxi for the day, last-minute change, tour booking, anything really! And very competitive pricing on top of all of that. The owner and his staff are all very attentive and made the trip so special. It is conveniently located, 3’ walk to the busier area. They are the definition of going above and beyond. They welcome my mother, who does not speak any English or Turkish, in the warmest way possible.

Our experience at this property was exceptional and exceeded our expectations. The location is superb, centrally situated with easy access to restaurants, cafes, and supermarkets. The room was immaculate, very clean, and comfortably warm. The bathroom was well-appointed and aesthetically pleasing. The staff demonstrated remarkable professionalism and care, making our stay truly memorable. Their thoughtful gesture of baking a cake for my birthday was particularly appreciated. Additionally, Leo, the resident cat, added a delightful touch to our experience. We highly recommend this property to anyone seeking a superior accommodation experience. We look forward to returning in the future.
