We really enjoyed our stay at Design Cave Hotel. The location is ideal — on the quieter side of town, so you get peace and quiet, yet with easy access to everything you might want to see or do. The garden and terraces are absolutely lovely, creating a relaxing atmosphere where a nice mix of people seem to gather — it attracts like-minded, considerate guests. Breakfast was hearty and satisfying, with plenty of choice, and the staff were excellent — attentive without being intrusive. Communication before arrival was clear and helpful, which made for smooth check-in and check-out. All in all, we highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a peaceful, well-designed place to stay with great service.

The rooms are on the small side, as you’d expect in a traditional cave setting, but they are very tidy, well-equipped, and thoughtfully designed. We appreciated the clever use of lighting, the well-considered safety features like step and wall lighting, and the consistent design touches throughout. From the stylish metalwork in the bathrooms to the matching finishes on the terraces and planters, everything felt cohesive and high quality. Even the air-conditioning units were thoughtfully shrouded with wooden boxes that blended with the planter box surroundings.

They Infact arranged a birthday decoration, cake on the day of arrival, making my wife birthday a special celebration. The hotel itself (location and facilities) are one of a kind! It's a stunning place and you will find it comfortable and a great place to rest in between all your activities. The hotel cat was one of my favorite parts of the stay!

The staff are fine but not the best I've stayed with. It seems they book activities and airport transfers with some selected travel agencies only. If you find an activity to be expensive or not quite convenient for you (ie requiring cash payment instead of credit card) do yourself a favor: instead of booking through the hotel, walk about 3 minutes to the city center and shop around at any of the dozen+ travel agents nearby to find what works best for you. I was disappointed that the hotel staff were not able to accommodate several of my requests for booked activities but once I asked around I was able to find what I was looking for very easily.

Reception staff has an was very friendly and gave very useful informations. He's very kind and being very helpful. Our tour was organised very well and smoothly. And Sam was very friendly too. Breakfast was nice and healthy.

1 of your staff whatever I asked he only said 'I don't know' 'it's not my fault' as we are first time visitor to Istanbul we don't know much and we asked him. Housekeeping didn't top up shower gels on daily basis and I just realised on my last day as I opened the bottle it's empty. Basicly the bottle is too heavy to notice.

Beautifully designed hotel in the stunning village of Göreme. Well located away from main traffic but still within a 5-10 minute walk of the centre of the town. Very friendly and welcoming check in process. Has a lovely rooftop terrace which allows you to see the balloons of Cappadocia in all their glory. Breakfast was tasty and normally there is time to do a balloon flight and make it back to breakfast before it closes. Great price for quality of hotel.

Perhaps it is coming towards the end of season, but some bits of hotel will need a little refreshing. Lights, sockets and air-con all a little temperamental.

Location of this hotel is best, just a few mtrs away from the city centre. The staff was very helpful. The breakfast spread is good enough. The hotel has a lovely view of the hot air balloons from the terrace The rooms are big and have a cave feeling too. They also provided with 24/7 drinking water, which is very unlikely of the hotels Turkey

Like all other hotels in the region, your selected room would be on the top and with no elevators. So if someone has mobility issues, be mindful of this selection they might have to climb a lot of stairs

After a day of exploration, coming back to the hotel felt like returning to a tranquil oasis. Overall, my experience at the Design Cave Hotel was nothing short of spectacular. If you're planning a trip to Cappadocia, I wholeheartedly recommend staying here to immerse yourself in the unique cave hotel experience while enjoying top-notch hospitality. In short: The Staff, The size of the rooms, the breakfast, and the location. Probably in this order. In length: The Front Desk team were extraordinary, way beyond what would be expected. Better than in a 5* Hotel, where they are "paid to care". The team here feels like they are all shareholders of the place. Will do whatever it takes to help during the stay. Jacob was the best Front Desk / Butler / Maitre D' I've met in years. I know how baised this review looks, but I promise it's up there. If you're still undecided, and reading reviews to make up your mind, this is it. I did a lengthy search and I'm so glad I chose this one. 5 mins to the center without the noise of it, all tour agencies know the hotel so it's easy for them to find you and pick up for the activities. I would personally avoid the 8-9 hour tours and instead ask Jacob to find you a driver than take you the same places in half the time.

They gave chocolates in the reception. They were too good. It made me crave them. :)

Beautiful hotel. It was fun to stay in a cave surrounded by Cappadocian caves! The view on the roof of the hotel is spectacular, the breakfast delicious and the staff very friendly and helpful, specially Yakub!

I liked everything. Small improvements would be to start breakfast at 7am instead of 8am. The hours when we were there were from 8 to 10. It is such a nice area that it would nice to have breakfast earlier in order to start exploring earlier. The other small improvement would be to have an expresso machine in the breakfast area. The drip coffee was a little too weak for my taste.

Design Cave hotel is the place to go! This place is perfect in every way from the rooms, to the staff, to the location. Hasan, Mustafa, Sam and the others were beyond amazing with us. My fiancee (now) and I booked not knowing the different places around Goreme, but I was able to coordinate everything through them for a surprise proposal. They have made so much effort to accommodate all my needs on the spot to make things happen. I have lost my wallet one morning, the staff did everything to help me find it, they have provided a bouquet for my proposal, they had a breakfast prepared for us on the terrace so we can enjoy the sunrise hot air balloon exposition. We left the hotel so sad because they made everything possible for us!
