The location and the staff were both exceptional. Topkapi is just around the corner and so are Blue Mosque and Aya Sofia. Restaurants are close by. Everything was great. Did run into some plumbing problems and the staff quickly responded and even changed our room immediately so that we did not experience any problems. The staff at this location is probably the best. Especially Bora and Nadir. Ali and Mehmet were also very helpful and the two cleaning ladies Feroza and Nargis kept everything great. We had planned to stay near Taksim on our return to Istanbul but instead booked Genius because it was such a great experience with them. They were even kind enough to look after our luggage while we were gone which allowed us to travel light to other cities. The wifi is moody but I feel wifi is a problem almost everywhere. For the price, the location we got was amazing and the service we got was out of this world. Eyvallah to the staff!!!! Bora you made our stay very comfortable. Thank you.

The location is superb! Righ in the area of sultanahmet square, only 5 mins walk to hagia sophia and the square. There are also lots of small cafes to eat and mini market. The staff is amazing! This young fella, Boru is the best! We had a super late check in, almost midnight and he was still up and welcoming us very friendly! He had us upgraded to a family room which was awesome! Thanks, bro! we had our welcome tea while he gave us lots info what to do in istanbul and countless information we need to know about how the best way to enjoy istanbul. Also gave us the tips to avoid scam and make sure we had fanstatic time during stay. We couldnt thank enough for the hospitality! Will definetely rebook this place!

Our family of 7 had a wonderful stay! The location is excellent, within a 5-10 minute walk of the major old city sights, yet on enough of a backroad to be slightly less chaotic than some of the more main streets. The rooms are clean and comfortable enough, and importantly for our late August trip, had air conditioning that worked extremely well. The service, particularly from Bora (not sure if that’s spelled right), was superb. We got plenty of recommendations and assistance booking outings from him, and he was even able to help us quickly find an EMT when my grandmother had a slight medical situation. You might find similar hotels in the area but the customer service is likely amongst the best at this price.

The room was very clean with no hidden mold or dust and the AC was working well and smelled clean. The beds were very comfy and we slept very well. This hotel is in prime location if you want to be within a very short walking distance of the main historical sites. There are restaurants and mini marts all around. The hotel staff are super helpful and friendly and are very keen to make sure you have everything you need. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Istanbul.

Everything was great! Location is the best you can have. Hagia Sophia, Topkapi palace, Basilica Cistern, Sultanahmet, Gulhane park, tram station are just 5 minutes walk. A lot of nice restaurants nearby, also Arasta bazaar. Hotel was great, has everything for your stay. Breakfast was really delicious. Parking available on street, costs 13euro. The staff at reception is outstanding, always willing to help and support for whatever you need! Thank you for everything! We will definitely come back!

It was super clean and the guy Bora was very kind and understanding. The location is exceptional. Every site is too near to the hotel and food street is just next to it. In the night when we were sitting outside the hotel to enjoy weather a young guy served us coffee. It was pure gesture of kindness.

Room was congested. Pictures failed to show the actual size of room. My kids were about to cry to see the room though it was clean yet no space to move. We requested them to change but they said it's the only room available.

The room was spotless, sheets and beds were comfortable, staff, especially Feruza and Bora were super nice. People went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant stay. The store next door gave us discounts and we sampled a ton of Turkish delight before we bought some. We were happy with our choice of a hotel. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is on a budget and wants to stay close to the Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia.

The breakfast was great a traditional Turkish breakfast very tasty and sustained me untill dinner. THe staff where very helpful with local advice and ancient sites of interest.

Overall the manager was great i got upgraded due to my Genius Level 3 status which was great the manager informed me of this at time of check in. Also the taxi service was very comfortable and although the special rate of 50 Euro had changed to 60 Euro it was a good service

I travelled with 2 friends and we stayed in a triple bedroom. The room was clean and spacious with comfortable beds (great for a good night's sleep). The staff was incredibly helpful from minute 1, and communication with them via the Booking.com chat was easy. They also gave us useful information and suggested a few routes to organize our 3-day trip.

The location is awesome!! Just few minutes downhill walk to waterfront (access to Bosphorus River Tour) on one side and 5 minutes uphill walk to all famous attractions (Topkapi Museum, Haga Sofia and Blue Mosque & Basilica) on the other side. The staff is extremely courteous, friendly and helping (Always greet with a small and carry your stuff to the room) They were also helpful in guiding us on how to go around the city what to expect for taxi fares and recommend good restaurants based on our preferences (I requested to Non-alcoholic serving restaurants, and they guided me with places and restaurants that do not server alcohol) Next to the hotel is a Talha souvenir place that sells all kinds of tea, spices, nuts and other souvenirs at a very reasonable prices (after comparing the prices in the market, we got it all from here). Just at the end of the block there is a Rooftop restaurant with special breakfast and wonderful view of Bosphorus river on one side and 2 mosques and Topkapi museum view on other side. (Very picturesque view) Overall, we are very satisfied with our 5-night stay in Genius hotel and highly recommend this hotel.
