Loved every single thing about this hotel. From the lovely staff, the quality of the rooms, the cleanliness of the entire hotel, the delicious breakfast and the location of the hotel, I would easily rate this place 10 out of 10. It was truely a wonderful experience staying at the Ishak Pasa Hotel. The entire staff is super nice and extremely helpful. On the day we arrived, Sarhan helped us with marking all of the attractions on a map and advised on the best way to get to each one. And throughout our stay, each and everyone of the hotel staff went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The reception is manned 24/7 with the most friendliest of people (Sarhan, Basem, Halit), always on hand to help. The hotel and all the rooms are beautifully decorated and very clean (and also exactly as shown in the pictures unlike many other hotels in the area). The location of the hotel is as perfect as it can be, only minutes away from some of the major attractions of the city and there are loads of restaurants and shops nearby. There is a taxi stand and a safe parking lot right next to the hotel (less than a minute's walk). Parking only costs 60TL (~ $3.5) for the entire day and less if you park for shorter periods. Also, because it is a government managed parking lot, their rates are fixed so you won't be scammed into paying more. I highly rate this hotel and would recommend it to anyone visiting Istanbul.

One of the best hotels in the Sultan Ahmet area. Ishak Pasa hotel was cozy & super clean. It was near to all the tourist attractions.Taxis were easily available. Hotel breakfast was fresh everyday and had a nice variety. The staff and their hospitality was EXCEPTIONAL. Especially Sebastian & Songul, they treated us like family and made sure we had the most comfortable stay. Definitely coming back here next time. 😀😍👍

Great hotel with perfect location. Because it’s a center but no people in streets, you can relax inside hotel restaurant with tea or coffee. Clean rooms, and very good breakfast. Hot meals every day changes, so it’s good if you stay some days. We very thankful to manager of hotel Sebastian. He helped us in everything and he is interesting speaker. Also love hotel’s cat. She’s so cute:)

Perfect location right next to a tram line and taxi base was easy to get around. The hotel was perfect. I was a bit worried with the reviews around noise but honestly you could hear a pin drop it was so quiet and peaceful. We all felt right at home. All the staff members made our trip so welcoming everytime we entered and left the hotel. A huge thanks for Oktay and Gulnihal for making us feel like family. Gutted that the hotel is closing for new management in a months time and won’t see the staff again otherwise I would have definitely come back just for them

No lift access and I was travelling with family but I messaged the hotel well in advance requesting easy access rooms and they helped get the luggage upstairs so was still great!

+ great location (next to Tokapi Palace) + quiet place aside of a busy street - nice and quiet and still 2 minutes away from the main busy street where all the restaurants and bars are located + everything is very close - 5 minutes away from Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque + very nice and helpful staff + super clean - clean bathroom, linens, etc. + nice patio for breakfast

- arrangement of breakfast in the morning was a bit confusing (especially when we came early morning) but eventually everything worked out - the rooms that are not facing the main street is rather darker since the window is facing a wall (but not a big deal) - missing a big mirror in the room (to see all person, only a mirror in the room)

I liked everything, the staff were really helpful, we didn't received at first a room with view as it was in the booking but at our request they give us a nice room with city view. In the room I didn't have a hairdryer and the staff was very helpful and kind to offer me to change my room with another one which has a hairdryer. Everything was great, the cleaned room, the breakfast, the location. You are close to all the main tourist attractions like Topkapi palace, Hagia Sophia, Basilica cisterna, Sultan Ahmet mosque etc.

I didn' t like the behaviour of some other tourists who stay there particularly some German tourists who made such infernal noise in the night and we couldn't sleep because of them. Such a shameful behaviour.

The location is superb, great value for money. Its not perfect and there were things i would have liked to change but would definitely go back again. I may not have the spelling right but Sebah, the manager was super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

You are in the centre of an extremely busy area, the benefits are everything is on your doorstep, the downside is the constant traffic and noise. Bring your ear plugs! Silly little things vis the breakfast service, every day having to ask for vold milk or the yoghurt and juice to be brought up, trying to find the cutlery etc. Small things

We were very impressed with the hotel. The cleanliness is superb, the friendliness of the staff is excellent, and we would especially like to praise and thank Halit. The hotel is practically part of all the most visited cultural attractions as well as the typical Bazaar. The only small comment would be about the breakfast, which could be a little more varied and rich to make everything perfect.

Breakfast

The major advantages were value for money, location, and the staff. It's perfect for those who want to visit the main landmarks of Istanbul and experience the historic old town where many of the historical buildings are located. Additionally, the staff are incredibly friendly and can even draw you a map of all the places you need to visit in Istanbul. The room was spacious considering the small size of the building, and it felt like staying at home—very welcoming. Furthermore, you can always enjoy a drink (any imaginable variety) or request coffee or tea at any time of day or night, and it is free of charge. Overall, I really liked the ambiance and design of the hotel; it was very cozy.

Some of the facilities, from a technical point of view, are old, and considering that all the buildings in this part of Istanbul are also old, this is not just a problem with the hotel but is indicative of the general conditions in the Fatih district. Keep in mind that something like an air conditioning unit or toilet may break down, and the speed of repairs will depend on the time of day and day of the week. Additionally, it’s important to understand that noise insulation in these buildings is not very effective, so I recommend bringing earplugs, as the calls to prayer in this neighborhood begin at 5 AM.
