I recently stayed at this hotel in Istanbul located near all the major historical monuments, and I can only highly recommend it! The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helped us explore the surroundings. They even recommended a boat trip to discover the city, and I suggest choosing the sunset time for an unforgettable experience. The room was perfect, cleaned daily with care. There was also a laundry service that we unfortunately discovered only on our last night. The breakfast was exceptional, with a wide variety of high-quality products. Contrary to what one might hear, the people in Istanbul are very friendly. The food was also excellent. In summary, a perfect stay in an ideally located hotel to discover the wonders of Istanbul!

We recently stayed in this hotel. It’s a small but very cozy that immediately captivates with its hospitality. Our room was spacious and comfortable One of the main advantages of this hotel is its perfect location. It is situated right in the city center, making it easy to reach all the major attractions (Hagia Sophia Cathedral, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar and etc) This is very convenient when you want to enjoy all the delights of Istanbul without spending too much time on the road. I would like to express special gratitude to the hotel staff! On my boyfriend's birthday, they pleasantly surprised us by celebrating and presenting a small cake. It was unexpected and incredibly nice! The staff helped us arrange an airport transfer, which turned out to be cheaper and safer than using other services. Overall, we were completely delighted with our stay at this hotel and would gladly recommend it to anyone planning to visit Istanbul!

First of all, I would like to say thank you to the staff and my special thanks to Murat. He was incredibly helpful, even when he had days off he did arrange everything we asked for. As for the hotel itself, it's small, but clean and cosy. It's close to all famous historical sightseeings which is a good advantage. The location is good and the place seems safe. The rooms are cleaned every day. The breakfast is good and delicious. You can also drink tea, coffee and water as much as you want at any time. When we were leaving, they gave us a small box of Rahat lokum and offered some drinks to choose to take with us. Thank you, guys! May Allah bless you and your families!

I recently stayed at Mataracı Konak Hotel for two nights with my partner, and it was a wonderful experience. The hotel is perfectly located in the Sultanahmet area, just a short walk from major attractions like Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and Topkapi Palace. Pros: ✔️ Location: Couldn’t be better! Being in the heart of Istanbul made exploring incredibly convenient. Most attractions were within a 5-10 minute walk. ✔️ Friendly Staff: The reception team was warm and welcoming, always ready to assist with directions or recommendations. ✔️ Comfortable Stay: The room was clean, well-maintained, and had all the essential amenities. The bed was comfortable, and we had no issues with noise. ✔️ Delicious Breakfast: The breakfast spread was well-balanced, fresh, and tasted great—a perfect start to our mornings. ✔️ Good Value for Money: Given the location, comfort, and service, it’s a fantastic budget-friendly yet romantic choice.

We stayed at Matarachi for 6 nights in the superior double room and we loved our time in there. The room is very spacious and clean for two people to stay comfortably and the washroom is a decent size as well. We had room service every day which was really good as we loved coming back to a fresh clean room after a long day out. The breakfast was also very good with a good range of options that was freshly prepared every day. Considering the price we payed for the whole stay the breakfast provided was really good. We were greeted by Ibrahim when we arrived and he was very friendly and made us feel welcomed and gave us helpful tips for our tour. Yaqub was also very friendly and whenever we came down for breakfast he ensured we had everything we needed. They ran out of omelette for breakfast on two occasions and on both occasions Yaqub informed us about it and ensured we were served freshly prepared omelette. It was very nice that he constantly kept checking that the guests had everything they needed. What really surprised me is how the hotel kept note of my birthday and then Ibrahim surprised me with a cake. It was such a sweet surprise and this goes to show how much the hotel and staff cares about their guests and their comfort. We would definitely stay again at the hotel.

The only thing I would recommend is changing the wooden floor in the room we stayed as it creaks quite easily when walking in the room.

Excellent Turkish hospitality and a lovely family friendly place to stay. From start to finish, a perfect stay. We had a late check in but when we arrived we were kindly welcomed. Front desk and kitchen staff are all lovely and very warm with my daughter. They even bought her bananas because that's her favourite food. Breakfast was a feast (really!) and we were full until the afternoon which meant we saved money on breakfast and lunch. The room was spacious,exceptionally clean, and they provided a cosy cot for our baby. Location is excellent, close to tram station and walkable to all the major attractions in Sultanahmet peninsula. I highly recommend this place to stay in Istanbul, especially if you have a young child!

Our experience at this hotel was a 10/10. From the first moment to the last, the service was incredible. Not to mention the cleanliness and location of the hotel, close to Sultanahmet and Hagia Sophia. The breakfast was very complete and varied and the cook was attentive at all times to your needs. They have always helped us even without asking. The air conditioning in our room stopped working and they changed us to a better one without asking. Also very economical. I 100% recommend this hotel. Thank you Ibrahim and company for your attention.

The location is super close to the basic monuments. We booked the suite with sea view on the 3rd floor - no elevator!!- which was beautiful.The staff was helpful and kind ! The breakfast was decent with many Turkish options .

The bathroom was a bit old and some spots were slightly damaged or with humidity , need renovations . It was also cold since the air conditioning is placed in the main room . However, after a few minutes of hot water in the shower got warm enough. Breakfast needs more European options .

A great hotel for its price. Breakfast is a tasty buffet with many choices that you won't get bored of for a week at least. The rooms are cute and cozy. The location is great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This is our first stay in Istanbul and we are very glad we've chosen this hotel. Some staff speak Russian and some speak Turkish and English.

If I had to complain then it would only be that considering the hotel's location it's a little noisy as one would expect. There is a restaurant right under so hearing cat's meows and people banter is expected. Nothing that can't be fixed with closing the window
