Exceptional Experience! A special mention goes to Maryam—she was truly wonderful, gracious, and incredibly supportive throughout our stay. I will definitely recommend this hotel in Istanbul to my family and friends. Whenever we return to Istanbul, this will be our go-to place to stay with the family. The hotel offers all the essential amenities and is surrounded by restaurants, shops, grocery stores, and a bustling market. The location is fantastic, and the staff are welcoming and professional. A perfect ambiance and an overall outstanding stay!

This hotel is excellent! After an unfortunate experience with TK Airlines that caused us to miss our stopover accommodation, we searched for a hotel near Taksim with an 8+ rating on Booking.com. The Taksim Galatist Hotel came up at half the price of a hotel recommended by a friend. As a family of three, we were concerned about the room options since some listings suggested we would need to book two separate rooms. However, Taksim Galatist Hotel offered us a room with a double bed and a sofa bed, which was perfect. When we arrived, we were amazed by the hotel's surrounding location—it felt so authentically Istanbul! The area is vibrant, with plenty of food options, outdoor cafes, and a lively atmosphere 24 hours a day. The room itself was excellent. There was a separate room with a double bed and TV for (obviously) my wife and me :) and the sofa bed also had a TV for our son, what great facilities!!! It was a cosy and well-thought-out space for a family. The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful. After our stressful experience with the airline, we were worried that our stay might be challenging, but the staff at Taksim Galatist Hotel changed our impression entirely. Maryam was extremely helpful and responsive, even sharing her contact number so we could ask for assistance at any time. But, the other staff members were also very helpful, assisting us with our three large suitcases and three hand luggage. Maryam also helped us plan our itinerary, which we didn't have any idea before. Honestly, this hotel made our stopover holiday so much better after the challenges we faced with TK Airlines. If you're looking for a safe and enjoyable stay, with easy access to shisha, smoking, hot sand coffee (literally just in front of this hotel), and plenty of local food options within 100 meters, this is the place to be!

Such an amazing experience! I don't know where to start. The location couldn't be better, literally in the heart of Taksim Square. Such a safe area as well, we could go out til early hours in the morning and come back with no problems whatsoever. The staff were so friendly and always helpful. Any little thing and it gets sorted straight away. We got to know all the workers and they were all so lovely. The WiFi was quicker than ours back home! The facilities were readily available as well. The rooms were very clean and spacious, we always had a good night sleep. We travelled with kids and they loved it. Definitely worth the money, I'd highly recommend you stay here!

I travelled with my two kids, 16 and 11. Was a bit concerned about the trip but it was just amazing. The property was no doubt was very good, great location, lovely staff with always welcoming attitude and happy to help. Room sizes and bed are true to size. Bathroom had all the basic facilities including great water flow to shower. Very very close to İstiklal St. McDonald was literally just two minutes walk away . The best thing is safety, security and respect. The arranged room cleaning service daily upon our request. Nice latest system , Everything was really good. The price I paid was very reasonable as compared to other hotels in surrounding. Got a lovely deal in a package I should say…..😁

It’s just a weird smell , I think it’s in Turkish water or sewage. Don’t know what it was but of course I’m not blaming the hotel for that.

Very central to a big shopping street and lots of cafes, great location. I left my phone in a taxi on my first night arriving there, and Serkan and Maryam were so kind and helpful. They really calmed my nerves about it (and I did get my phone back!). Wonderful hospitality from the staff here, feels like your home away from home.

Room quite small but good quality for the money

The hotel is quite solid for this value. 4 of us were in one apartment and it wasn't cramped at all. Normal-sized shower cubicle with good water pressure (that's always important to me). Excellent location, friendly stuff. :)

Opposite the hotel is a construction site, so it was noisy in the morning, but that certainly has nothing to do with the hotel.

Great location, daily cleaning, comfortable large room, the staff especially the lady that made our room everyday; thank you! And the beautiful Mary who arranged our transport to the airport who greeted us with a bright smile and followed up with message on our return to uk which was sweet. The staff were friendly and available to help when needed. My son and I enjoyed our stay in Istanbul although a short break we stayed an extra night and I will definitely return to the Taksim Galatist Hotel!

Nothing at all

The hotel is not luxurious, but it is clean and has everything you need, a fridge and a kettle in the room, towels are changed every day and they are very, very friendly. Most speak English. We had a wonderful time, it is on the main street of Iştiklaj and very close to Taksim Square, where there is also a metro and funicular to the port of Kabataş. We recommend.

The hotel is in a prime location literally a few steps from Istiklal street. The rooms are small as the hotel is in an old building but the beds and bathroom are reasonable. Great value for money!

Some more space to move around in the family room would have been great. Also, dustbin should be there in the room and water bottles should be provided daily by house keeping.
