The room was spacious, exuding a sense of openness. Sunlight streamed through large windows, and the neatness was maintained at all times. Close to all the good bits of George Town. The top and the shopping mall straight across the road. Very clean and rooms were well maintained. If a little tired. The beds were comfortable. Air con a godsend. We were initially put in a room above the street until I asked to be moved and we were offered a room to the rear immediately. Much quieter and less fumes. Perfect for us. Internet available and a good speed. Breakfast was good even though the choice wasn’t huge. In the evenings the food stalls come out onto the street and there were hawker stall food courts too just at the end of the road as well as all the cafes and shops. So always a wide variety of food options available. Staff were polite and always spoke to us. In essence a reasonable hotel in an ok area at a good price.

Although TVs are in the rooms there were no world channels just Asian. Not a massive deal for us but some people want that.

The location was excellent, easy to reach and find coming from the airport and well located for all of our every day needs. My nephew has lost his wallet and the people at the reception were very helpful to do everything to get it wack!

Strategic location to Kimberley food street, Pragin mall, 1st Avenue mall and Top Komtar. Besides, Teochew Chendul shop is about 5-10 mins walk away. Moreover, you can easily catch a bus to tourist destinations from bus terminal not far from Pragin mall. There is a water dispenser on Level 2 of hotel for you to refill your water bottle. Had opportunity to sample most yummy Penang food as there is a night food mkt at the doorstep.

Bear in mind that you can only check in after 3pm in this hotel. Just leave your luggage in baggage room and go window shopping first. Small bathroom and rolls of toilet ppr in twin sharing room. Noise from corridor can be heard from room at nite.

Very strategic location and affordable hotel in Georgetown. Komtar, Prangin Mall, Hameediyah, Chowrasta, Penang Teochew Cendul are soooooo nearby. The staff are very friendly and accommodative. Breakfast was simple and tasty. The bed was comfortable. Room has good air conditioning and clean. This is a budget hotel in the heart of Georgetown. The room is very, very small. If you're a claustrophobe, this might not be for you. There is no fridge and safety locker. The TV was a bit hard to figure out, but I don't mind, because I don't watch TV and was out and about anyway. There is a body shampoo dispenser and toilet paper. Other toiletries and prayer mat are available upon request. So, bring your own, if you want.

This is not about what I don't like. This review is to ensure that people have realistic expectations when choosing where to stay in Georgetown.

Got a very good deal from booking.com. great rate and upgraded, which the deluxe rooms are more than sufficient for me. Decor was penang-like, and you have all the necessary facilities like ironing board, hair dryer, and satellite tv.

Entertainment system hangs every 30 minutes. Not the place if you wish to watch a lot of TV. And parking spaces are limited. Being in the middle of george town, do expect a lot, a lot , a lot of noise around the clock.

Optimal location w.r.t. centre and public transport. Helpful staff and housekeeping doing an excellent job. Spacious rooms, with amenities expected at this cost.

It is very difficult to believe that a room with a wonderful bed, a modern TV panel, and a stylish wardrobe, has a shower with such bad tiling that one has to spend an extra 10 minutes to guide the water into the drain once finished. Without the housekeeping's daily contribution, this shower room wouldn't dry off for days. At the same price of a couple of the reception armchairs, you can have such a bathroom retiled at a proper angle in a couple of days. Please rethink the allocation of your capital.

Very convenient location at the center of Penang's historic core. Many interesting sites, cafes, restaurants and bars are walking distance. The facilities are great, the room was very nice. The staff were really super friendly and accommodating.

The walls were kinda thin because I could hear my neighbor next door's every move, and I have bad hearing already. Also, I requested for a quiet room but my room had a window right next to a passageway and the road outside so I could hear everything.

Location is superb, right next to a big mall which is also the drop-off point for those who arrive by bus or mini-van. It's also just inside the old part of town, so walking distance to many sights. Rooms were clean, comfy and very nice, shower had amazing pressure. Breakfast was a bit on the heavy side, would've loved something sweet or some cereal, but it was overall good and kept us happy until the afternoon. Staff is very nice, a laundromat is right next door and the restaurant has some good deals.

Second time staying at Kimberly. Fantastic location loads of food even at late night. Easy walk to Komtar, Pragin Mall, First Avenue. The family suite has a small balcony outside and able to open doors to air the room.

Breakfast cafe staff are nice but the selection is monotonous and basics. Coffee and tea in the pot quite terrible and burnt after been on the burner for too long. Rooms are dim with the spotlights over the bed. You have to switch them off when you lie down and the room is in total darkness
