The hotel which has a Cuban vibe is well located in a peaceful area with a host of good restaurants nearby. The room was spacious with all relevant amenities. The Pool area is relaxing and far away from the Miami hustle and bustle and a wonderful inner courtyard offers real tranquility. We would recommend the hotel to others and definitely return ourselves.

The decor is a little dated but the fact that you soon forget this is a testament to the build and design quality at the time. The lift system is frustrating and very slow but hey, not a real problem in the scheme of things

The hotel has this beautiful signature scent when you walk in. And the indoor and outdoor architecture is iconic. The location is excellent, close to cafes and restaurants and you can walk to the marina. The service and staff were great. Check in was smooth. Room was huge and beautiful and the bathroom too. The bed was a little soft for my taste but I slept well. Nice walk-in shower. We also spent some time at the rooftop pool/bar which was great.

The courtyard can get a bit noisy in the morning and afternoon if there's an event being held, and there was some construction outside so we couldn't enjoy the huge beautiful balcony, but those are minor, minor things. I'm just being picky.

Loved the style of the hotel - beautiful design throughout, and fantastic roof terrace. Resturant (Grill) for evening meal was EXCELLENT.

No one told us when we checked in that there was a private event happening in the evening, so when we went to the roof terrace for a swim, there was a debauched party of 20 somethings, drinking and smoking cigars in the pool. Not ideal for young kids! Also felt the breakfast offer was quite functional. Misleading menu re what was included (juice is NOT the juices on the menu!) and check presented about a minute after we ordered.

This property is becoming Coconut Grove's best experience. I had to secure room accommodation for a client with only a few hours prior to arrival to Miami with a requirement to be by Grove area where our office is located. This is a holiday weekend, and while low season, high-end accommodations are a challenge if trying to stay within a reasonable budget. This property showed up in my search and, while quite familiar with the area (3 years living in the Grove), I had never heard of it. I was just blown away by *the rates in comparison with other properties in the area, **the staff members, whether it was the reception desk, restaurants, rooftop swimming pools, room service, bellman, the experience was top on the top. Friendly & classy with a genuine customer service approach. The property recently reopened after renovation. It will but elevate your experience to the smile. It was a common occurrence while engaging in conversation with other guests, the ultimate compliment as how this proprty has become their #1 choice. They acknowledged they usually stayed at other high-end places in the area, this will be their choice now on. Architecture, design, public areas, corridors, and suites... it is just art. The suite photo I provide is just studio suite in the smaller category at 609sft. The unit was nothing but deliciously relaxing with spa amenities that will call your must deepest desires. The unit has a terrace balcony as part of your relaxation. Coconut Grove, FL is experiencing a renewed interest by travelers and becoming a place to be at and to be seen. Take a moment to visit their website for the hotel history since 1979. Highly recommended.

The hotel was perfect for our stay in Coconut Grove! It was perfectly clean, the staff is very friendy and it has an awesome vintage eclectic vive. The restaurant Mayfair Grill was delicious and SipSip bar has awesome cocktails. The location is great, walking distance to multiple restaurants

Everything was perfect

This might be the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed at. It's like the hotel is alive, everything your eye sees is beautiful. there is detail everywhere, artistic elements on columns, elevator doors, walls, the ceramic tiles indicating your room number, it's all beautiful and you haven't even got to your room yet. The room was a double King room, colorful, large inviting, great beds, vintage elements on the desk and bar area and amazing secluded balcony with a screen of greenery so lush you can not see the building across the street. I don't know if all rooms are as big or if all the balconies make you feel like you're in a jungle but my room (459) was wonderful. I was sad to leave.

Minor issues, air evacuation after a hot shower takes a while (not a big deal) and if you sleep with the patio door open you may be woken early AM by garbage trucks removing waste from the adjacent Coco Walk, it's a non issue with the door closed.

The rooms are spacious, clean (I have OCD so…) and the beds are huge and fantastic. It was really quiet too. The tv was massive which is nice when you want a break from seeing and doing and need a movie night. The restaurant extends from the inner courtyarf to the street and is very good (with healthy and gluten-free options). There is a relatively inexpensive and well lit parking garage across the street. There are restaurants and bars all around, with a cooler clientelle than other areas in Miami, which can be very tacky. We didn’t hang on the pool deck because we were too busy, but we will next year. We felt safe also. We will def stay again on my next trip.

The rooms are a quite dark. In a way it felt like a quiet refuge, a cocoon, but sometimes we missed having more light.

We absolutely loved the style of the restaurant, the front door, the refreshing smell and cool air as you walk in, the detailing in the decor, the lush greenery and the stylish room decor.

We were looking forward to a relaxing afternoon at the rooftop pool. Unfortunately, we hadn’t been given the heads up that a pool party would be taking place…it wasn’t the vibe we were looking for, too loud and no spare sunbeds, so we were a bit disappointed with that. Also loves that there was a kettle in the room but would recommend two of each type of teabag for a room with two guests.

The Mayfair House unique beautiful property with gorgeous outdoor/inside greenery. Our room was lovely snd we especially liked the private outdoor terrace. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The location is bar none if you’re planning on hanging out in The Grove. I also felt very safe because there was tight security. This was important to us because we were getting back to the hotel late after working an event.

I was disappointed in the food/bar service because we were not open for guests early in the morning for coffee/pastries and in the evening, everything was shut down by 10. I thought the lighting in the room was very dark, although the room itself was beautiful.

We’ve stayed at the Mayfair House hotel twice, the rooms are very spacious and the sound insulation between rooms is good. We stayed in a room with two king size beds, perfect for families too. Just be aware, although there are balconies there isn’t a view, but all the lush greenery growing up the trellis work, makes for a peaceful place to sit. There is a nice grill restaurant downstairs, where we enjoyed our breakfast which is served until 11am everyday, and drinks at the tequila bar in the evenings. With in easy walking distance, there are so many little boutique shops and wonderful restaurants. All the staff are really friendly and helpful too. We will be back!
