It was very clean and the smart TV is customizable. They have two elevators and a main staircase for floor access and each floor is equipped with a water dispenser and ice maker. The small boutique gym is located in the basement, equipped with plenty to be able to complete a great workout. There is also an ATM located on the basement floor which I thought was a great note that should be mentioned. The cafe in the lobby was also super convenient and pretty tasty, a bit limited but it will get the job done for a quick stay. However, if you do elect in-room dining, don't be surprised when the hotel robot is the one to deliver your order to you. You will receive a call first to your room to let you know once it's arrived outside your door. It's a pretty neat technology touch. Also, for my MUA lovers Sephora is literally right next door, on the cable car side of the hotel, as the main floor hallway extends through to both sides of the street. The WF mall is 5 minutes away walking distance. But I do caution the area (Tenderloin) due to the multitude of present homeless people unfortunately, similar to many areas in CA though.

I did not have a bad experience with anyone necessarily, but I did get the occasional shouting, asking for change and I just really didn't feel comfortable walking alone outside of daylight.

The hotel was clean, quiet, stylish and convenient. It was great to have the cafe on hand when arriving or leaving, especially early in the mornings. The cable car turnaround right outside is incredibly handy as well as the other transport options just a short walk away. My room was clean and a good size (I went with a small room upgrade before I arrived). Staff were all helpful and friendly. Plenty of towels provided and the bed was incredibly comfy, perfect after long days of walking. As a solo female traveller, I felt super safe at the hotel, and appreciated the bar to lock my door from the inside. I also had a query on charges which booking.com incorrectly told me was a security deposit not returned. When I queried this, booking.com could not fathom what had happened and we're pretty useless, but once escalated to the hotel, I received a direct email explaining everything clearly and it was resolved in minutes.

The only thing I could possibly fault the hotel on (and this is stretching to find something) was that the HVAC system was very noisy, with the internal air con system not working, I had to use that overnight. But it wasn't a deal breaker and it was in perfect working order.

Was in San Francisco for a conference at a major conference hotel nearby, but found this place was just a block or so away and much more affordable, and I am glad I stayed here. Funky layout, and my room (an aptly named "nano queen") was small, but it was comfortable and clean and had everything I needed. There is a small coffee shop downstairs, and you aren't far from some great restaurants. Metro stop is right next door, and so it a cable car if you need to do the touristy things.

Not much to complain about. The Nano Queen room would be probably too small for two people, but it was fine for a solo traveler in San Fran for business.

Although the room is small, it is modern and has everything that we needed, ie iron, ironing board and hair dryer! We love the thick and long bathroom towel! The water pressure of the shower was also strong! I like how they try to promote reducing plastics bottle by giving 2 flasks in the room for you to refill your water from the water dispenser located on every floor of the hotel. We love the location of this hotel which is right smack in front of the cable car station. Cable car leads you to many major stopovers and cost $8 one way. Our room gets a window view of all the cable car turn table action every morning and that street feels safe. Just be careful of the other entrance which is very close to the tenderloin area where most of the homeless people are in San Francisco. Noted that due to this reason, the hotel also locked both its entrances and you can only access via the room key card. But we ventured out to a Vietnamese restaurant “bodega” that’s just there, which serves very very good Vietnamese food! Powell metro / BART (to airport) station is also located just a stone throw away from this hotel. We were there for a NBA game and muni takes us from chase centre directly back to Powell station, saves us the surge in calling Lyft! Shopping is also everywhere near the hotel! We can shop and drop our shopping bags in the room before venturing out again.

There should be one more lighting point in the bedroom outside the bathroom where we put our luggage. It’s such a waste that they have a full length mirror as door to the bathroom but due to the poor lighting, we can’t use that space efficiently.

I had a fantastic stay at the Axiom Hotel! The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore nearby attractions, restaurants, and shopping areas. The location was perfect - within walking distance of so much and right next to public transportation for everything else. Steps to BART with a direct train to the airport. The staff was very helpful.

The room was small, which is in keeping with the price.

Arrived a bit confused as to whether I had already paid or not. The man on reception spoke very rapidly about taxes and resort fees etc and suddenly my credit card was over its limit. I hadn’t paid but the extra daily amount (resort fee) suddenly put my quoted price from Booking.com and my AUS conversion way out. I am at the end of my trip so I was paying close attention to my expenses. I understand about the taxes and resorts fees but often a hotel will just take a CC imprint to secure any extras. In this case the hotel took the money. I wonder how long it will take for the money to be back in my account.

This high-tech boutique hotel is located at Powell Street Station and the Powell Street cable car turnaround, a couple blocks from Union Square and is uber-convenient to all forms of transportation - streetcars, bus, cable car, BART, the Muni! Rooms were clean and very comfortable; there's free filtered water and filtered crush ice for guests on each floor; a small refrigerator, coffee maker and complimentary bath robes for comfort. I'd definitely stay there again!

Of course we all would love lower room rates; rates vary according to availability/occupancy levels (law of supply and demand!) but for longer stays it all averages to reasonable rates given the property's accommodations, friendly and engaging staff, and location.

Loved being surprised at occasional interception by 3-foot high robots performing room service! Extremely clean room and facilities, with a dedicated housekeeping team at work during the day. Slick and easy check-in, check-out processes. Great location for anyone using the City's public transportation: cable cars, BART subway, underground and surface street cars, municipal busses -- all right outside hotel entrance. Coffee, breakfast/lunch, alcoholic drinks available at free-standing lobby bar.

Illumination is critically needed for the area housing safe, refrigerator and closet. Low water pressure and tepid temperature at the room sink made wet shaving difficult. Small room size was fine for this solo traveller, but rather cramped for a couple.

Clean enough room (just some minor hairs in the pillows), close to the Moscone Center. Cleaned the room every day except one day, but promptly cleaned when remarked. No fuss, you get what you pay for.

Area is not the best, but it's the best of the worst :) Breakfast not included, and only at the bar with limited options. Windows do not isolate a lot of the outside sound. AC at the max fan and coldest (18.5 C), but room is still too hot.
