Walking along the street we saw this lovely guest house with a magnolia tree in full bloom and thought - for the price, ours will be the dingy one next door. But it wasn't! This is a charming place, beautifully decorated and with a fine guest lounge and we also really loved the 'honesty bar' for a late nightcap drink. The staff (only there in the daytime) were very helpful and friendly. We had breakfast one day, which was a huge array of both continental buffet, and cooked - whatever you want. A pleasant walk into the centre of town and also on a main bus route.

Nothing.

The room was fairly well done, and the bed fairly comfortable. Rooms were fairly quiet.

Car parking is the major issue for the guesthouse - there is a car park close to the guesthouse, but it is very expensive. Not too bad to walk into town once you get used to the route. Is free street parking nearby, but this only applies overnight - you need to move the vehicle by 8am the next morning. Overall experience would be much improved by providing a car parking voucher for guests. Lots of little touches - for example, minced pies in the lounge, are charged extra, rather than being complimentary.

Lovely guesthouse. Nice staff and room clean and comfortable. Great location

I had a bottle of orange juice from the honesty bar and it tasted horrible. When u checked I noticed the date of December 2024 on the bottle Also with the price of breakfast , I was slightly disappointed with the vegetarian breakfast and thd fact there were no meat substitute like vegetarian sausage and was still the price of a full English breakfast but without the same amount of food. Eggs were very runny and beans were cold.

Lovely old building with character and comfort. Nice bath and a quiet top floor room

Heating wasn’t on so not as warm as I would have liked.

Easy paid parking just behind the hotel at £18/day and within walking distance to everything. Very prompt email/message replies too which was very helpful. Loved the honesty bar they had an available too!

Room 8 was at the front and on the top floor of the guesthouse, effectively in the eaves, and opened on to a fairly noisy road. Probably not a problem in the colder months as the windows would be closed and it wouldn’t be so hot (a fan is available which really helped though ☺️). Next time I’d opt for a room at the back and on a lower floor.

I really like the whole house. I love the design like wallpaper, amazing giant mirrors, and i love the furnitures. My bed was very comfortable. It was very clean, and my favourite part was the lady in the reception with a lovely accent was so nice to us and extremely helpful, she had such a lovely smile and she made us feel very welcome. My friends also had a great time staying here. I will be coming back again, and next time, it will be with my kids and partner.

Room 19 had a slight attic smell but everything else was great.

This was my home while I was in Bath. I was not feeling well and Magda and everyone there took such good care of me. I don’t know how to thank them enough. Everyone wanting to stay in the loviest of B&Bs with the most outstanding service, cleanliness, to e lost delicious breakfast and so much more. When I come back to Bath. This is where I will always stay. The location is also amazing. Around the corner from the Botanical Gardens, the Crescent and Circle.

Nothing, I loved every single inch of this B&B.

Our room was comfortable and clean, the bed linen was fresh and the home cooked biscuits were a nice touch. Nice little bathroom with a good shower and clean towels. We didn't have the breakfast so can't comment on that but we loved the little honesty bar which was a nice touch after an evening out. Front of house and the two housekeepers we saw briefly as we left our room on the Saturday morning were smiley and friendly. All in all a good stay and we would return, thank you!

Bedroom carpet had some marks on it, but that's common in high occupancy rooms. The room didn't smell dirty or grubby though so I'd say it was just marks that maybe haven't come out. It didn't put me off the general cleanliness of the guest house.

The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The room was beautiful with a huge four poster bed and a day bed which my mum said was really comfy. The breakfast was was really good with a table set with granola pots, fruit and pastries and then there was a menu for cooked breakfasts which were cooked however you wanted. We had booked a late train home and the staff were more than happy to look after our luggage for us during the day.

There were quite a few steps to the property, which was no problem for us but if you have mobility problems then it would be an issue

I liked the decor & charm of this old guesthouse. It was quite comfortable with a nice sitting room, breakfast room & even an honor bar for beverages in the evening. My guest room was beautifully decorated & the small bathroom was well designed. The staff offered impeccable service & each of them was always happy to assist me in the Reception area & dining room. The breakfast was very good.

I was on the top floor so there were a lot of steps up to room 9. It was very hot the 2 days I was there but there was a fan in the room.
