It’s a beautiful place not far from the town centre. You can easily walk down and take the bus up again. The rooms are large enough and the bed comfortable, even though the interior is spartan. The staff is very friendly and the food is okay. But they have a large common room with a big kitchen and fridges in case you want to make your own food. I would definitely recommend the YHA Bath

They need to work on the Nachos…or take them of fthe menu before Mexico declares war on the YHA. The chickpea curry on the other hand was delicious…no Indian invasion to be feared 😊😊

Our stay at the hostel was largely enjoyable, thanks to the friendly and accommodating staff, especially Cara at reception. She was incredibly pleasant, polite, and helpful, ensuring our staggered check-ins went smoothly and making us feel welcome after long journeys from various locations. The bar provided a cosy space to unwind, with the company of fellow travellers adding a unique and delightful atmosphere to the experience. The facilities were generally well-maintained and clean, which we appreciated. However, the beds left something to be desired in terms of comfort. Unfortunately, I woke up on the second night with several bug bites on my arms, neck, and legs. While I can’t be certain the bites came from the beds, it seemed likely. Despite this, the hostel’s convenient location, attentive staff, and overall tidiness contributed to an enjoyable stay. With a few improvements to bedding, it would be an even better choice for travellers.

As mentioned above, bug bites from sleeping in dorm 8.

Excellent facilities in the self catering area. We loved the outdoor games available. Staff were super friendly and helpful. We had a great stay.

We were near the door that people had to come in and out of to get to the rooms and it banged very loudly. We were lucky it didn’t happen a lot. When we packed up to leave in the loading bay some ground maintenance people appeared and started blowing leaves and garden bits everywhere that went all over our luggage as we were trying to pack our car. They were quite rude when the yha staff spoke with them.

The building is beautiful and special, set in a lovely garden with outside tables and games. The cafe is cosy and welcoming and also has lots of board games for the family. The self catering area is huge and clean. The bedroom we had had two bunk beds. It was very simple but clean.

Some of the staff were incredibly friendly, others a little less so. There was some noise in the evenings from bigger groups but it generally stopped in time so that it didn't stop us sleeping. My daughter wasn't happy about the shared bathroom, but we didn't mind

The staff were incredibly nice and friendly. I felt so comfortable and happy during my stay. They let me store my luggage after checkout. One thing about the kitchen you should keep in mind is there is no stove in the kitchen but there are microwaves and ovens. So do your shopping accordingly. The distance of the hostel from the city center is 30 mins on foot. It is almost on the top of Bathwick hill. The view is magnificent from there. Everyone coming to Bath should see this view walk down the hill to center. I attached the photo of the hill. Ofc there is a frequent bus service to the center and you can use it as well.

The garden is gorgeous. The rooms are clean, and the living room very comfortable. I also had a breakfast (later - not the regular one - and the food and drink were good).

It is a bit far from the city center if you have to walk, because is uphill. Nonetheless, by bus is 5 min. I think for one night I didnt need storage for save my stuff, but for a longer stay, I think you should arrange more storage.

The location is beautiful. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The building was clean and well organized, The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The bathroom and shower was clean and the shower was great. Breakfast in the morning was great for the price. I wish we stayed for longer and plan to visit again soon. For the price, there is no beating this experience.

Nothing comes to mind.....maybe they could have had some more options in the breakfast?

This property is on a beautiful property and the facility is clean and attractive. Though the bathrooms are shared, there are sinks in the rooms and the bathrooms are clean. The cafe is very nice, as are the lounge areas with comfortable seating and ample games. Good for families!

The location was a little more difficult to access downtown on foot, largely because Bath is a very hilly area, and it would be difficult to walk up and down into town. However, there is an easily accessible city bus into town.

That staff were really amazing! We missed our paid breakfast last time (which was entirely our fault), however, they still warmly offered us some hot refreshments, pastries and yogurt to have before we left off. Thank you to the awesome kitchen guys (apologize, I’m really bad with names) for not letting us leave with hungry stomachs! We don’t deserve it. Really lol We also love, love, love the hostel so much! The location is great. We really felt we were one with nature. And very close to a bus stop going to the City Centre and Train station. Too bad we had to stay for a night only and leave the following day for work back in London.

The price/value for money. Beautiful property and beautiful view.

The biggest downfall for our party being adults in a 4-person private bedroom was the fact that we were only allowed 1 key card, which was needed to move around anywhere, including the "public bathrooms" & common areas on the main floor. The breakfast was good. However, we felt it was overpriced as an english breakfast. We were expecting more for the value. It was a continental breakfast that was overpriced.
