For a budget hotel, there were so many good things about it. My top things were: The amazing location, fabulous little breakfast spread and the good sized basic rooms. The staff at the hotel were all so welcoming and friendly. Always ready to help.

Three things we didn’t like: 1) The shower being in the room itself with a clear and frosted door. Fine if you’re a family but not great if you’re travelling with a friend. 2) The corridors could have been cleaned/hoovered more. 3) The biggest problem for me was that our first couple of weekday nights were fantastic and undisturbed, but during the weekend the hotel was mainly occupied by groups of friends and party goers. Between 2am to 4am we were constantly disturbed by either drunk people banging on the door thinking it was theirs, or lads racing up corridors, men shouting and girls screaming. It wasn’t a place to be as a family.

A good position and in walking distance to most of the attractions like Grand Opera House where we saw a show and lovely pubs, and met for our coach tour, the Town Hall centre where we met for walking tours and caught buses and shopped. Ulster museum and Botanic Gardens in the other direction, but the same distance. It was clean, which is important to us.

I booked a room with a double bed with a bunk bed for my mother and I for four nights, which proved to be extremely small. We struggled to move around having two suitcases. A third person couldn't have fit as we had to use half the double bed for luggage space.

The location was amazing. All the facilities and centre was walking distance. The staff were very friendly and we even got to leave our bags to go sight seeing a bit more after check out time. ibis budget belfast and ibis belfast are two different hotels! We got a bit confused in the beginning but managed to find our way. Only 15min walk from each other.

The bathroom was interesting. No bathroom. Only toilet separated by another door but the shower is in the room and so is the sink. They should have warned us. Not that we didn't manage but it was definitely tricky. If you're a solo traveller this is perfect. With friends (we were a duo), we definitely got closer lol

Our first visit to Belfast - the hotel was in a great central location. Belfast is lively (and lovely!) so it may be noisy at night as would any city but that didn’t impact on our sleep. Rooms were cleaned / fresh towels every day. Staff were amazing / friendly / helpful. Breakfast was far better than expected: toast jams beans cereals yoghurt berries ham fruit pastries cheese bread rolls salad juice and free tea and coffee (there’s a hot water machine if you want to fill a flask / make noodles etc). V close to Pizza Express, Tesco and nice bars. Lovely cool bar area downstairs. Pool table. A friendly hostel vibe!

It’s a budget hotel so don’t expect luxe! Rooms are very functional with not a large amount of space but that didn’t impact on our stay as we were out most of the time. We were two (50+) friends sharing - I managed to sleep in the bunk bed fine!

Great location - easy walking distance to the city centre. There was also some nice pubs and restaurants within the area. The staff were so friendly and incredible - everyone I interacted with was so helpful. The rooms were spacious for a budget hotel, there was a large space to spread out your suitcase. The breakfast was basic, but handy. Free tea and coffee all day was a nice touch. Provided a hair dryer at reception. Check out at 11am meant you could still go out in the morning.

There were no outlets or charging points by the bed - made it inconvenient to use your phone in or near the bed. There was a little bit of mould around the fixtures in the shower. There was a lift at the hotel, but the buttons were difficult to press (apparently it is getting fixed and it wasn’t a huge deal, just worth noting). There was a charge to store bags at reception upon check out (I didn’t do this and left earlier to avoid the charge)

The room and facilities were great and didn't expect so much for a 'budget' place; especially the air-conditioner. Bed was very comfortable. Was glad to have the double window to completely block out the inevitable noise/pollution from the construction/demolition work in the morning next-door that was in full-swing during my stay (didn't hear a thing). The bar/lounge area on the ground floor was also nice to have. Location was perfect for my needs being a short walk to Grand Central Station.

The bed light switches were touch panels and therefore difficult to find in the dark. Could do with a better door on the toilet rather than thin plywood with no lock (though made little difference to me as a solo traveller).

The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The price was excellent, the location was good as there were shops nearby. They have a discount if you park at the parking place across the street called NCP parking, it cost us £12.50 for 24hrs which isn't the worst comparing to other places. Make sure to ask reception for the discount ticket.

The rooms were nice but a bit smaller than expected as we have stayed in places with similar prices. There also wasn't any parking, there is a parking right behind the hotel called 'Handy Parking' which is nice but you do need to pay for parking regardless.

Clean, good value, fairly central

Guests were noisy and I had to ask them to be quiet. Somebody banged on my door in the middle of the night and woke me. As a motorcycle traveller, there was no parking so I had to park on the main road but fortunately nobody tried to tamper or steal my bike. Not ideal for motorcycle travellersSomebody banged on my door in the middle of the night and woke me. For a budget hotel it was excellent, very clean basic room but everything in it that was needed, the staff where very nice and very helpful, breakfast was continental not loads of options but enough to do and very fresh products if you want a fry up go somewhere else .the room was almost sound proof so no problem with noise when we stayed , We only stayed one night and really can't complain great value .

No hair dryer ladies that I saw, the only thing I didn't like was that the sink was in the bedroom the toilet was separate from the shower which was a good size and good shower I think I would have preferred the sink either in with the toilet or in with the shower but it was ok for one night and it still was private facility in your own room.
