Shirley Heights waa awesome from when we arrived till when we left the host's were brilliant the room was spotless cleaned to a very high standard the beds were very comfortable we had 3 nights very good sleep the breakfast was out of this world brilliant just what you need to start the day of nothing was ever to much for the host's best place we have stayed at Blackpool by a country mile we are 100% going back again this year thank you for our time in Blackpool a good one definitely be booking again cheers

Host (Derek) was welcoming, very friendly and attentive. The room was spotlessly clean and had toiletries and fresh fluffy towels on arrival which was lovely as I personally like to freshen up after traveling. Each room was open upon arrival which was a lovely touch as it was aired. Plenty of hangers and storage space for a weekend. There was also a drinks station with biscuits which again was a lovely touch and nice to enjoy while unpacking. The TV is an excellent size and channels all worked well as did the remote control. There are plenty of plug sockets throughout the room, some with USB ports so if like me you forgot a plug you can still easily charge your devices. Breakfast was delicious, very fresh and the coffee was outstanding.

An extra choice of fruit juice at breakfast would have been nice as orange juice can sit quite heavy, so maybe include an apple juice. But that's just a personal observation. And I'm struggling to think of a negative about my stay so I think that says alot about how much I enjoyed my stay 😆

What a lovely B&B with wonderful hosts. We were greeted warmly and showed to our room by Derek (thank you for taking our ridiculously heavy suitcase upstairs for me), who was very welcoming and amiable. The room itself was lovely, the bed was comfortable, everything was clean; and it was lovely and quiet with the windows closed. Bathroom perfectly fine with a great shower. Mirror close to plug socket, which isn't always the case. Little things make a big difference. Fantastic location for Blackpool town centre, just a few minutes walk straight down the road. Breakfast was delicious!! And there was plenty of it. Derek was very friendly and patient with my daughter, who can be a little shy, and also let us keep our suitcase at Shirley Heights for the day after we'd checked out. We really appreciated the cup of tea and Fruit Shoot when picking the case up too. A fabulous stay.

The walls are thin so if you are thinking of booking here, I'd bring earplugs, as you've no idea how noisy your neighbours will be.

After staying in many places in Blackpool this was the BEST by far. The B&b had such a lovely home from home feel, the owner was so friendly and made us feel so welcome. Our room was the family room very spacious and clean, really nice decor. And the breakfast was amazing! This ranges from cereal, fresh fruit and yoghurt to a full English breakfast. The location is perfect, situated close to the carpark and all the attractions, just a very short walk. Will definitely be back.

Shirley hotel was like being at home, very comfortable and a lovely atmosphere 😊 my husband and I had a cheeky last minute weekend away and couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay ☺️ really clean and really friendly, nothing was too much trouble. As for the breakfast 🍳 well we missed out big time ( the demon drink) 🥤 from what I saw the other quests were being served we definitely missed a great feed 🥓🥚🍳.

Derek was genuinely a lovely man. Im over 7 months pregnant and hadn’t realised I’d booked the smaller of rooms for myself and my 11 year old son, he moved me to the bigger room with less steps to climb without me even asking. What a guy! Really accommodating, breakfast was cooked to perfection and l can’t fault his hospitality. Thank you.

Location was brilliant for accessing the central Blackpool facilities especially the Tower Ballroom / Winter Gardens. As usual a very friendly greeting from the owners, with their brilliant and flexible breakfasts such good value for money that we will be returning again in 2025.

Some might find the stairs a little challenging, but help with the luggage did not make it an issue.

Everything about Shirley Heights was wonderful. On arrival, we were greeted by Derek, who is a lovely man. He helped us with our luggage, and he made my wife and children a drink. Whilst I parked the car. My children thought a lot of Derek. He was really food with them all week. Amanda was really lovely, too, she makes cracking breakfasts. Our family room (number 1) was beautiful, the decor is lovely, it's cosy and it has everything you need. We would come back from days out to find the room had Bern clean and the beds made, tea, coffee topped up, etc, which is a nice touch, as you don't always get that. The shower/toilet room is a nice size, again with nice decor. There is not one negative word to say about SH. It is less than a 5 minute walk to the main strip and less than 10 minutes to the main shopping centre. Staying at SH made our trip to Blackpool even more special. We can not thank Derek and Amanda enough. Two special people who are fantastic at their jobs. Derek would always go that extra mile. At breakfast, he would make sure you have everything you need and that you didn't want anything else. He would have a conservation with you and recommend places to visit. My children are already asking if we can go back, which we definitely will, and there is only one place we should stay, and that's Shirley Heights. Thank you both so much. There were so many things that were great. Derek and Amanda were so friendly and super helpful. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed. Derek offered us drinks on arrival and even helped bring in our luggage from the car. The selection of things for breakfast was excellent and all expertly cooked. It was perfect, friendly, old school service with a smile.

Really friendly and welcoming from our arrival. The hotel is spotless clean and the room was cosy and comfortable. The owner was very helpful with suggestions of places to eat and even provided us with menus to help decide. The hearty breakfast was excellent and again, nothing was too much trouble. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, it was worth every penny of the reasonable price.
