Bed type was expressed and requested on booking. On arrival we were informed we would be in a room with two singles!!!. not quite the point of a weekend in Brighton!. Fortunately reception staff were very helpful and managed to allocate us another room with a double . Staff were excellent. loved parking facilities big factor in choosing this location.

Booked breakfast for first morning . explored elsewhere second morning and hadn't booked breakfast. On checkout bill was a bit over. Some glitch in the system. Tried to charge us twice .Beware, although credit to the staff amicably sorted out

Every member of staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a good size, even with 3 nights there we didn't feel cramped. The room was on the side of the building but still provided a sea view. I requested a room with a bath and albeit a very small bath, it was as requested. The staff at dinner and breakfast were absolutely excellent. We had 3 course evening meals but only managed 2 courses due to the size. Except for the watery tasteless mushrooms, breakfast was near perfect.

We had 3 evenings with dinner and breakfast and the menu for dinner which only had a choice of 3 main meals, 3 desserts and 4 starters remained the same for each evening. Mains, pizza, a burger or a salad. The burger and pizza were fine but still a poor selection. Mushrooms at breakfast. The bath was very small and cramped. On site parking £25 per night is excessive!

Location is amazing/great Refurbishment although ongoing is far better than before. Lifts not working Breakfast over subscribed and with 15 minutes before refill Adjoining room extremely noisy especially when you don't know the people Bedroom door hinge needs to be adjusted so that there is not a constand slamming of doors.

As above Lifts not working Constant slamming of doors throughout the night I don't want an adjacent room especially when I am paying premium rate to be listening to lout nouse;talking and children trying to open the adjacent door

Very comfortable stay, the bed was comfortable, room temperature was perfect and everywhere was very clean. The staff all over were very friendly and very helpful with any needs that we had.

Things that are likely to be beyond control of the hotel such as no lift that we could see from car park to the hotel, especially when carrying luggage. The lift in the building sounded a bit rickety although a lovely serviceman reassured us he checks it regularly. Walls were a bit thin, chappy in the next room had a sneezing fit....sounded as though he was in bed next to me it was that loud - concerned he would of clearly heard my loud snoring in that case :)

Good location, lovely staff, breakfast was lovely

The 2 doubles beds weren't double beds...one was a fold out small sofa which wasnt very comfortable and for a premium room i spent £450 on i expected 2 actual beds. The balcony wasn't very inviting but had a lovely view. I had spent 2 weeks prior to our visit trying to contact the hotel regarding luggage storage and my daughters birthday which was awful. No one answered the phones or replied to the online chat properly and I got no where till I arrived on the day. The staff were lovely though and we managed to sort it out.

Breakfast was a great variety and was a great start to my days there Location was at the heart of Brighton, best position with the i360 in view and a beautiful scene of the beach whilst also having restraints infeont of you. Staff - Gosa head of Housing was great. We met on three different occasions and each time she had a smile on her face. There was also a lady at reception, apologise it wasn't a name I could remember bit she had a brown bob and was there in the evenings- thank you for all the refills of the Hot chocolate and a warm smile Room was extraordinary, the view is spectacular and i couldn't tear myself away from the balcony. Free minibar- was great with the added touches of the drinks and packets of crisps. Seating area at the front of the entrance before entering is a nice touch. Was nice to digest my food whilst sitting there and enjoying the sun.

It was out of the hotels control but the motorbikes at 3am speeding down the road would wake me up. Parking spots are really tight and i dreaded coming back to find my car scratched.

Great location, friendly staff, very clean and comfortable room.

There were works going on during our stay so only one lift was in use and had to wait two or three trips to use sometimes - not ideal with pushchair. Our room was opposite the lift and it was so noisy. Could hear it going up and down for most of the night. The sliding wardrobe doors in our room were off their runners at the bottom - which our one year old discovered when he put his arm out for support and the doors swung into the wardrobe, hanging from just the top runners! Would still recommend and stay again though as they are in the process of fixing the hotel up a bit. And we did have a great stay.

On arrival we were upgraded to a bigger room. The room was lovely. We were also given two complimentary drinks, and told we could enjoy these in the Bar area. Breakfast was good, nothing more than expected. Hotel position was situated close to many sightseeing venues, and not too far from The lanes. On sight parking we paid £30 for 3 nights should have been £15 per 24hrs! We got discount for sighning up for IHG one reward plus got benefits from that(although yets to find out what benefits). All staff were very polite. Bed made everyday and clean towels too. Couldn't complain about any of the above.

We knew as we had been informed that work was being carried out, so we expected this, there was no lift from parking level. The lift to the 5th floor felt unsafe and each time I was glad to be out of the lift, I sort of wished we had kept the original room that was on a lower floor! On arrival to the bar we hoped to order some food after our extra long drive(due to motorways closures) found that a good half of the menue was not available, no explanation made just 'sorry we only have ones not crossed out!' Free drink was cheaper drinks, to be expected. I could have found a cheaper venue, however I thought having parking, breakfast and meals all under same roof would pay off. Not sure it did.

Easy check in and check out, as well as having the option to validate the parking for a longer period of time after checking out. The room was spacious, with plenty of amenities and a cot was provided. Ideal location as well- a short walk from the main attractions and across the road from the beach

The mattress for the cot wasn’t ideal, as it was a foldable one and there was a slight dip. Due to ongoing refurbishment works, the lift between the underground car park and reception was out of service which was not ideal when trying to bring our bags and the pram.

The hotel was in a great location looking over the old west pier. I had a balcony room that enjoyed marvellous views, it was large and though dated well furnished. The bed was very comfortable and the area was fairly quiet overnight so I slept well . I ate in the hotel , no restaurant but a nice dedicated bar area with waitress service. The food was tasty if a little pricy. Several items were unavailable on the menu but this did not spoil my enjoyment of the meal . The staff were very efficient and attentive.

Building work is going on at the moment and only one lift is working and it sounded as if it needed a little maintenance. The whole building does look a little tired and could do with a bit of a makeover. However the overall experience was still pleasant and relaxing because of the staff!
