Staff very attentive, smiley and friendly. Good selection of lagers/beers, food was plentiful pub grub. Room was in the building to the rear away from the main road. Room decor dated as per other reviews, however bathroom was exceptionally clean with everything you needed. I liked the addition of oat milk on the tea tray. Easy free parking and around £10 for a taxi to the city. We would return as the staff were so friendly and welcoming. They are a credit to you.

Unfortunately our first choice of evening meal was unavailable alongside two of the breakfast menu items which was a shame. Soundproofing would be helpful in the room as you can hear quite a lot from the hallway and other rooms. We did get woken by noisy guests returning to their room unfortunately.

The bedrooms are across the car park. Any noise from the pub could not be heard. Breakfast was very good with a choice of the usual items. The scrambled egg was excellent. Dinner in the evening was of good quality. The food was always hot served by friendly staff. The beer was excellent.

To be picky, There were occasions where an item on the menu was not available which is irritating when you have spent some time deciding what to have. Some pre order information would have helped. Service seemed slow at times but when you're not in a hurry it doesn't really matter.

We stayed here 4 years ago and it was as exceptional. Staff were welcoming and our stay and meals were excellent. Sunday roast was worth the wait. We were visiting our friend in that area and decided to check this place out again. We were not disappointed. Service and facilities remains excellent. Staff members polite, courteous, helpful and bubbly. Sunday roast was once again worth the wait. We will be back in the future . Thank you Debbie and all at Evenhill for making our stay wonderful and offering such high standards.

As of the above in my summary comments.

Lovely place to stay in a good area not far from the coast and Canterbury. Rooms were clean with plenty of toiletries and food was very good. Hot Breakfasts made to order with plenty choices. We also had a meal which was really good with large portions and value for money

On the final morning bank holiday Monday there were a lot of people at breakfast at the same time and noticed they struggled to cope taking a longer time for our breakfasts to arrive and the buffet part running out of bowls cups juices etc

The breakfast was delicious, lots of options to choose from. The room was very clean. Some other reviewers have noted that the bed is hard, but we both found it very comfortable. We had one evening meal in the pub which was also really nice. The staff were very friendly and attentive- couldn’t have had better customer service! Nothing was too much trouble and they clearly were working very hard when dealing with a busy breakfast service. Very close to Canterbury, 10 min drive away. There is a bus stop right outside but due to bank holiday service we didn’t use it. The Evenhill staff were also helpful with providing parking/transport recommendations as well as recommendations for things to do in Canterbury. We would definitely stay here again if we were visiting the area- really good value for money with the friendliest staff that make you feel so welcome.

The decor in the rooms is a little bit dated and a little bit of noise can travel between rooms at times- overall these things didn’t affect our stay at all, but it may be something other guests may want to consider.

The room was spacious, the bathroom was big with a big bath tub. Breakfast was great, super tasty and very filling. The pub in the evening was great, lovely atmosphere and dog friendly. Lots of car parking. Quiet area so if you are a light sleeper, you should be able to sleep through the night without being disturbed.

The room got hot even without the heating on, so the room was a bit stuffy so we were sweating. There is an air con in the room but I did not think it was needed for the current weather. The decor is a bit outdated so did not match the decor of the outside building.

The Evenhill is a quiet, cosy, friendly pub. Because they accept doggy guests, we had stayed there several times in the past, but since then the pub is under new management and Suzanne, Jack and all the staff are really lovely. The atmosphere is very relaxed and personal. The Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and delicious. The accommodation was comfortable and very clean. We and our dog were made to feel very welcome. We arrived as strangers and left as friends. We (a couple in our 50s with labrador) loved it and are already planning our next visit.

WLAN in our room was patchy.

Staff were very attentive and helpful. Good food choices for our fairly modest requirements (ie only lunch and breakfast) and room was spacious and comfortable. Parking was also easy with plenty of spaces and we were offered help carrying our bags in without having to ask

Initially we struggled a little with the entry system - room key was a touch pad that released the door but we seemed to have to touch and push door at the same time. We soon got used to it

Breakfast was good. Great scrambled eggs! Evening meal was ok but over priced. Staff were all amazing. So helpful, friendly and accommodating. Can’t fault them at all. Our room was clean and tidy.

Evening meal was ok but over priced. Steak and ale pie tasted great but ruined by cheap gravy! Steak was really good but accompaniments a let down. Including very runny sauce. Disappointing. Our room was very small. Not ideal for my disabled partner who is on crutches. He was unable to shower as there was no where for him to sit safely which isn’t ideal, luckily it was only 2 nights. The tv wouldn’t run Netflix using the hotels WiFi I had to hotspot my phone. The mugs provided didn’t fit with the coffee machine which did actually make us laugh a bit. For £100 a night I expected more.
