Very picturesque, set in a lovely grown garden at the rear of the property. Location is fantastic for Cowes Parking available right outside the property. Excellent Breakfast cooked to order. Very friendly host with loads of information about the local area.
Minor Issue - The mattress on the bed is uneven and could do with replacing, wasn't the most comfortable. Minor Issue - The shower only provided hot water for about 3/4 minutes which was very disappointing. Hopefully this can be rectified in the future as it would be the only consideration if we were to stop there again.

I'm actually an island resident. My friend and I searched for somewhere unique, and ward avenue came up and we both liked the look of it. We stayed in the twin room, it was perfect for what we were looking for. Luckily for us it landed in the great wight bite weekend, and it was a stone throw away from the event in Northwood Park. And then in the evening we ventured in to town which was the perfect distance as we are both 8 months pregnant..... The welcome was appreciated and telling us what we needed to know by Jonathan about our stay, and to finish off the perfect weekend, the Breakfast was 10/10!! We highly recommend this place!
Nothing.... the only thing I will.do is next time I'd like to stay in the garden chalet (it wasn't doable unfortunately for two pregnant ladies!)

Lovely spacious room & quiet , breakfast was lovely and Jonathon made you what you wanted and the time you asked for . Location into cowes main town was just 3/5 min walk and through the back garden gate and excellent park to walk your dog, so clean and lovely dog walkers .
Parking was a little tight, first come first served for outside or if room small gap on the property. Although we always managed couple of days we had to squeaze onto the drive way trying to judge the side walls either side .

The chalet was charming and clean, with a large, comfortable bed. It had all the amenities required. Location wise, the chalet is based within the beautifully decorated gardens at the back of the main house...a lovely, quiet environment, which is a stones throw away from all the shops and restaurants in Cowes. Jonathan and Mel were wonderful hosts- warm, friendly and accommodating ☺️ Our breakfast (a full fry up) consisted of fresh, local ingredients and was absolutely delicious!! 🤤 A real highlight!
Nothing 😁

The Charismatic charm, leading to a secret garden which gave plenty of privacy to the cabin. The room was very comfortable and clean (blue light approved) The location was excellent walking distance to town and that its dog friendly, plenty for the dog the sniff around. The host was polite and courteous, we were well looked after.
Mosquitoes could be a problem around summer time which is why we didn’t mind having a spider around. If I was being super picky the doors may need aligning as it can be difficult to close. There’s slight mould build up in the sealants of the shower room seal. But overall did not affect the comfort of our stay.

Lovely little chalet in a beautiful big garden. Saw red squirrels in the garden whilst we ate breakfast on the veranda! A walk downhill to the high street. Quite steep on the return for anyone who is less fit/mobile but it was okay for us. We did drive down closer one day to get some groceries quickly. Lovely hosts. We enjoyed our breakfast each morning from Jonathan. The room had a TV so we enjoyed being able to watch a film at night. Nice hot shower. The room was a good size and warm enough (Jonathan quickly swapped our oil heater out because we realised it wasn't working). We would happily stay here again.

Ward Avenue is an idyllic and peaceful b&b run by very friendly and thoughtful hosts. The breakfast was delicious and we appreciated the use of local produce. Our room was very cosy and comfortable and the shower was great. We were able park on site which was very useful. Next time we’d love to stay in one of the cabins in the gorgeous fairytale garden! The location is perfect, you just walk out of the back gate into the park and it’s a very pleasant short walk into the centre of Cowes.
Absolutely nothing!

The chalet we stayed in was lovely, hidden away at the bottom of the owners' beautiful garden. The bed was huge and very comfortable. It is located in a good location with a short walk into the town centre. We were able to use a short cut through a gate at the bottom of the garden which was very convenient. Our hosts were a lovely couple, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was first rate quality, with locally sourced sausages cooked to perfection and served fresh on our veranda each morning. It was delicious and one of the best breakfasts we've had anywhere. It was a thoroughly enjoyable stay.
Absolutely nothing 😊

Our 6 day stay at Ward Avenue B & B was perfect. We had booked the Red Squirrel chalet, and the location made it fairly easy for us to explore Cowes. Our chalet was lovely and the bed very comfy. Breakfast was very tasty and a perfect start to each day. Jonathan was a very good friendly host, and a big thanks to Abby too, she was also very friendly and kindly suggested/recommended places for us to go to visit. We met Jonathan's wife Melissa on our last day, she was also very nice. Thank you very much, Ward Avenue, for making our stay so enjoyable. We loved our cabin and your pretty garden. It was so relaxing just to enjoy watching nature around us. Especially seeing & hearing the little Robin each morning! We look forward to staying with you again in the future. Best wishes and a big thanks to you all. Zora and Paul x
There was nothing we didn't like. We did wish though, that we had asked for a fan earlier in the week. As the weather was particularly hot over our stay. Jonathan was kind enough to bring us a fan, when we thought to ask him.

The chalet that our daughters was in was a very cosy and private spot with its own verandah (great in summer I'm sure) and a very self contained space pointing down the garden not towards the house so it isn't overlooked. The room in the house we had was accessed by its own stairs at the back of the house and was a nice space with its own well-appointed and large bathroom across the top of the stairs. The view was out of the front of the house. Having tea and coffee and a kettle in the room was really welcome too. It was really handy to have a gate through the back garden directly into Northwood House park and the garden is lit by lots of solar-powered fairy lights at night so you can see your way. This room is directly above the other guest room in the house on the ground floor, which is next to the owners' kitchen/diner. The quilt was plenty warm enough, a tad too warm perhaps! Breakfast was 'full English' and tasty.
It is always a risk for me personally when going away as I have a tendency to get an aching back if the mattress isn't supportive enough and I didn't find the mattress supportive. I would also have liked to see more pillow choice as I have neck issues and need a supportive (but not over-firm) pillow. I also found the cold air through the windows a little uncomfortable. If the window seals are replaced I am sure this could easily be solved and may mean you're less likely to turn the heating up to try and compensate (which was tied to the main house's timings). It would be nice to have some variation at breakfast offered, even if agreed the night before, such as omelette or baked goods like croissants rather than toast.
