Loved the character of this historical property. Proper wonky floors and thick walls. We loved the location which was town centre and close to the RedJet terminal. We were 3 adult friends who shared a family room as we left it so late to book. The set up was one double bed and two singles which were probably fold down arm chairs. No air con which was totally expected but there were double aspect windows and a table fan. Trips to the loo in the night didn't disturb as the walls were the real deal and the sound didn't travel. Breakfast was Full English variety and was delicious. Free wifi was good and very necessary. Staff were lovely, helpful and friendly.

The padding in the fold down beds wasn't up to much and you could feel the frame very clearly. Front sleepers ok with it, back sleepers not so much. The room was quite warm in the heatwave but not unbearable. Overall though, for the price in high season there is not anything to grumble about. We would happily book this place again if we visit Cowes.

I and my family stayed at the Union Inn for a couple of nights. The hotel and restaurant bar met our expectations, hotel cleanliness and perfect size of the rooms are great. The staff and owner were very friendly; they accommodated us nicely. Also, the location of the hotel is superb, very central; the food and breakfast we really enjoyed; it was excellent value and delicious, owner should be proud and the place is very recommendable.

A real cracking hidden gem. We travelled from Ireland to visit family on the Island, and from stepping in the door we received a very warm welcome. The room was beautiful and so comfortable, and a great shower with shampoo and body wash that would rival spa products. Everything you need is there. We had the breakfast which came with our room and it was wonderful. Everything cooked fresh, and all exceptional products. 10/10. Thank you for having us!

The breakfast was excellent! Staff are really friendly. The location and the room was perfect for us. If you struggle with stairs, this may not be the place for you, but great for anyone else.

There was live music in the bar below ( private function) With the windows open, you can hear this, but finished by 1am. A small price to pay for a lovely place to stay. No instructions to use the coffee machines, so good luck!!

Was central to Cowes and in a great location to The pub was charming and full of character The bed was very comfortable and the space was over all very clean and well presented The staff very kindly let us check in early and it was very much appreciated

Very miner niggles and to be honest nothing would put us off returning There was water bubbling up through the sink and did create a smell but was only happened once in the morning and fine in the room with bathroom door shut Also shower door was loose Like I say very miner things

The location could not b better, the breakfast menu was extensive and very good - with the exception that the coffee was terrible - and the room was great. Well-furnished, every facility you could want. Also, THe Union remains open when other bars have closed and soo all your friends and aquaintance end up there at the end of the evening

This hotel is in a great location with a lovely atmosphere. The room was very spacious with plenty of storage for our things. The coffee machine and water were a real plus and very appreciated. All the small touches make it feel very homey. Walking distance to everything you need including beached, shopping and restaurants. The breakfast is lovely.

For some bizarre reason the radiator was on upstairs and the place was already crazy hot due to weather. Response from landlord when asked to turn it off was 'its on a timer' then when the guy left the comment was...don't know what he wants me to do, not like he is sleeping near it. The hot air has to go somewhere.

The room was clean and organised, the view was amazing especially with the seagulls in the morning.The staffs were very polite. The breakfast was very good and my family enjoyed the stay

Things that may be could improve is the waiting time on ordering food. As my children wanted more but the queue was too long. It would be nice to have a toilet brush in the bathroom.

Very cute! Lovely old inn, we had room 6 at the top, had a view of the water, sailing boats and ferry passing by! Bed comfortable, coffee machine, kettle, hair dryer and iron provided. Good shower, might be uncomfortable if your over 6ft as sloping ceilings. Breakfast very good as was bar food. Would definitely stay again
