The rooms were clean, the staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. Towels were changed everyday and tea/coffee facilities were replaced daily if needed. Easy to get everywhere.

There was no little fridge in the room which would have been great to keep some cold drinks or fresh milk. The rooms were very small and therefore in the heat they were very warm, If I am honest I wouldn't want to be here in a heat wave or high temperatures and lastly not much room to move about. There is a family room for if you have a child but this is not the place to stay with a child, couples, hikers, buisness people yes but not a family. The Inn is a pub and it is very noisy at night, to be fair with the windows closed it was a lot quieter but it was too warm with them shut.

For sailing it is very close to yacht haven marina. Decent wifi in the bar area. The food is good particularly the pies.

Noise comes with the location, ear plugs provided. Great for early starts as the deliveries start around 6am and if you're at the front with windows open u dont need an alarm. Disappointed that water wasn't provided for my last of 4 night stay, nor were the towels replaced that day. Stayed in biscay which is at the top and wifi not great there but was able to do an hours work in the bar with pleasant staff (Joe I believe) Bathroom could do with hook for towels by but not in the shower. Extractor didn't work Biscay beds are very close together, it's the smallest I've stayed in but my third visit so not at all bad

Location. Pub atmosphere and food menu. Music. Powerful shower.

Having a separate bathroom of which we had to walk down a corridor, this we did know, however, not knowing we would be passing 2 other rooms was a surprise and a concern when needing the bathroom during the night. Easily could meet other guests to and from the facility. The supplying of 2 bathrobes to use would be a sensible solution for guests to use for modesty purposes. Could be noisy on occasion with passing pedestrians and early morning deliveries and refuge collection.

Location, friendly staff,good food in the pub downstairs. The room was nice and clean. As expected in a 300 year old building it is very quirky. I read in the reviews that it could be.noisy being above the pub and it was but it was not too bad. We are early risers so there was not an issue for us and at 11 pm it was all quiet.

Small but important thing to say. No hooks in the bathroom to hang towels, few pence investment but what a difference this could make, shower pipes were leaking everywhere under pressure.

Unexpectedly high quality room for an inn, with comfy beds, tv, wifi, large bathroom & shower. At the heart of the town, close to all amenities, everything is within 5 mins walk of The Anchor Inn, including the keyside where the redjet lands, bars, restaurants & shops. Exceptional value for money - we'd definitely want to stay here again.

We liked everything, if you want an early night in any room overlooking the main street in Cowes - which bustles with life until after midnight - maybe take some earplugs. We stayed up late anyway and anticipated this so it didn't affect us, but I think this is worth knowing.

The staff were amazing and the location was excellent, right on Cowes High Street. The twin room, though snug, was perfect for our 2 night stay! Clean and comfortable with tea and coffee facilities!

It was very noisy both mornings of our stay. The brewery lorry arrived at 6.20am on the Monday and Tuesday and took around an hour to unload. I know it can't be helped but there was no chance of a lie-in!

The staff were very welcoming and the pub very friendly. We attended the Isle of Wright Festival with direct Bus services from Cowes M&S. The Anchor was adjacent to the walk on Ferry with only a three minute walk making the whole journey convenient. Cowes is a lovely place with many good restaurants and pubs, we are planning a return visit.

Everything was really good

Location was great. Room was a good size at the very top. Cleaners were on it. The bar was a great size with friendly people. Staff were helpful. The cleaners filled our tea,milk and sugar up everyday. Which is awesome as I'm a tea freak!

I always moan about this, but the cup sizes in the rooms are too small. We went out and bought our own mugs for tea and coffee. The doors slam like hell so early in the morning you are woken up and late at nite. Alot of noise regarding movement from people. Other guest and cleaners. No shower gel which sucks having to buy some when aldi sells it for cheap as chips. This should be a standard product available. And I found it odd that you couldn't get a breakfast, even a light breakfast with cereals,fruit and yoghurts, when they had a restaurant for evening food. Having to get up and out to find somewhere was a challenge some days as not every breakfast place was good.

Barman carried my luggage up stairs. Excellent location. Clean and pleasant room. WiFi password did not work for me but was quickly corrected the next morning.

Room was fine for one person, although there were 2 beds, very close together. I would have found it uncomfortable if I had had somebody in other bed. Very little room fo moving about.

Perfect bolt-hole in the middle of town. Great cafe across the road 'Sails' which did an excellent breakfast from 7am. Restaurants, shops, harbour front and Red Jet terminal very close. Room very clean, stayed for two nights and room was serviced every day. Chest of drawers, full-length mirror in room. Plenty of hot water for shower. Bands playing in pub Friday and Saturday evening. Bottled water, cups, tea & coffee sachets provided with kettle. TV. Separate access to accommodation through side door was really useful. Easy check-in.

Lack of hanging space. No bedside tables. Empty fittings by sink and shower for soap dispensers a bit pointless and got in the way a bit. Room's quite small which is to be expected in an old town pub. No view - frosted glass in window made it a bit claustrophobic but probably best solution to preserve privacy as courtyard at back of pub was directly under window. Noisy until early hours but you wouldn't stay here for a relaxing, peaceful break anyway.
