We were treated so well from start to finish. It was a huge bonus that my husband was a Marriott Rewards member as we were given a complimentary drink on arrival and voucher to use the rooftop bar. We ate breakfast, which was decent but a fair few of the options available had run low/out and weren't replenished which isn't ideal before 10 am. We were in town for a wedding and stopped by the bar for a bucks fizz/mimosa but as they were out of glasses we were also given these on the house! Overall a comfortable, quiet room with the right amount of attentiveness. Location was perfect too! Would highly recommend

Halloween decorations everywhere. Not that I'm against the decorations but they were a little tacky rather than tasteful

We recently stayed at Moxy Edinburgh Fountainbridge and had an excellent experience. The hotel has a vibrant, youthful vibe yet maintains the level of comfort and efficiency that seasoned travellers look for. The location is superb—central enough to explore Edinburgh’s attractions yet slightly tucked away to offer peace and quiet. The check-in was seamless and welcoming, and the staff were consistently friendly, approachable, and eager to help. Our room was spotless, well-designed, and comfortable, with thoughtful touches that made the stay easy and pleasant. The communal areas, especially the lobby and rooftop bar, were stylish and lively, adding a fun social atmosphere without feeling intrusive. We particularly appreciated the attention to detail, cleanliness, and the cheerful hospitality of the team, which made our stay feel both relaxed and memorable. A fantastic base for anyone visiting Edinburgh—whether for leisure or business.

My daughter & I stayed here and as first timers to Edinburgh, we loved how easy it was to get to from the airport. A simple tram and then a 10 minute walk & we were there. Not to mention, only being a ten minute walk to Grassmarket and the Royal Mile. We also loved the foyer, with the foosball table and photo-booth! Even the messages in the lifts made us chuckle and smile everyday! We highly recommend staying here.

The breakfast was quite expensive and the layout a little chaotic. More food choices are certainly required, I feel.

We had issue with Toilets, they changed after this our room, but still, we was not comfortable, because, we mentioned that every room had same problem. I'm traveling a lot of and this kind of problem I only had in this hotel. And As I understand, they have same problem very often because, when I explained problem, they already knew about it and said what was the solution. as it seems, in that moment, they had another room with the same problem, because, whe i asked to change the room, they said that oh, we have one free room but as it seems, there is also same problem,. finally they changed room. other things was really great,

Stayed here during one of the busiest months, August, when all Festivals are taking place in Edinburg. There's always a lively vibe walking in, as the reception is also the bar/hangout area. The breakfast is also served here in the mornings, and it was a fresh selection every day (selection was good - although not too extensive). The bed is comfy - rooms aren't enormously large but large enough and they are well sound proofed making for comfortable restful sleep. Good location as well.

I would have appreciated more variety at breakfast but this is a minor point.

We had a great stay in this hotel. You have to walk around 25 mins to the old town or take a bus but the bus stop is right in front of the hotel. There are also good breakfast and dinner options near by. We didn't had breakfast at the hotel. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was small but had everything you need. At the moment there is a construction site in the back of the hotel. Sometimes it's noisy but with closed windows it's fine. When it's finished you will have a nice view in the backyard and on a small river.

We stored our luggage there. Everything was in one locked room with no tags and you could just grab what you want after asking for your luggage without telling your name or room number. Felt unsafe.

Lovely atmosphere, we got a welcome cocktail, food, games etc. Really comfy bed.

Breakfast wasn't great.

Room: the interior design was pleasant and comfortable; automatic light under the bed is genius! The bed was very comfortable! We were lucky with the view from the window, which looked out onto Grove Street. The hotel’s location was quite convenient: relatively close to key attractions, yet far enough from noise to feel peaceful. Breakfast? The buns were flavorful, and the coffee hit the spot!

It would’ve been better if the room had a fridge—it was noticeably missing. The breakfast options were average overall, but some items were disappointing.

Our stay was exceptional! The hotel was amazing, with super friendly staff and a great location. On the second day of our stay, we discovered that the heating system in our room wasn’t working and informed the managers. Within minutes, they offered us another room (along with help moving our belongings!) and complimentary drinks at the bar as an apology. While we didn’t end up using the drink vouchers, it was a thoughtful gesture, and we truly appreciated their efforts!

There’s only one tiny suggestion for improvement — perhaps adding a small chest of drawers and a mini fridge

Stayed at the Moxy for Oasis and loved every second! The hotel’s funky vibe hit you the moment you walked in, and the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming or helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, and that welcome cocktail? Absolute perfection—such a fun way to kick things off!

The breakfast was a bit of a letdown—buffet style, but the food felt stale and just wasn’t up to much. In a city like Edinburgh, with so many great places to eat, I’d recommend skipping it and heading out for breakfast instead, especially for the price.
