Haymarket is fantastic - very clean, safe area, short walk to Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile, and very affordable. However, you may want to use the apartment's website to book directly for additional bonuses (we used Booking but we didn't know about the bonus features).

No complaints - if you have heavy luggage, I'd advise a first floor apartment. There is no lift (but that is stated on the website), so we got a nice workout carrying our suitcases :)

Check-in was smooth. The room was clean and very well-maintained. Basic supplies like coffee and crockery are all provided. The location was superb and it's convenient to get anywhere. I will definitely stay here during my next visit!

Very good location. Nice decorated, specious apartment, clean and with everything that is needed for short stay.

We were a group of 6 people. The sleeping places in the apartment are divided into 2 areas - in one bedroom there is a comfortable double bed and a sleeping armchair, in the living room there is a sofa bed that needs updating, because the mattress is thin and creaks as soon as you move. Also one sleeping armchair. In such a large space there could be 2 sleeping sofas in living room. The bathroom can only be accessed through the bedroom, which is not convenient when walking from the living room past sleeping people.

Our apartment was beautifully appointed and tastefully curated with every creature comfort. The amenities were well thought out and of exceptional value. Bathroom and shower facilities were beautiful, well-lit and luxurious. The owner, Alastair, genuinely cares about his customers’ experience and took the time to recommend many restaurants and cafes around Edinburgh for us without us even having to ask. He was a truly wonderful host and I will absolutely book another stay at Haymarket Apartments when I return to Edinburgh. Thank you, Alastair, for such a wonderful accommodation experience. You have our complete gratitude.

Everything from interior decoration to our location view (photo). Even the walk from the street entrance up to our apartment was a beautiful experience through this UNESCO Heritage building. Details like the beautifully restored solid cherry banister and original cornice were so lovely.

This room was a perfect location walking distance from the centre and all the main sights of Edinburgh. It was a 25 minute tram ride from the airport followed by a 3 minute walk. Check in was simple as the code was emailed beforehand so their were no issues. It is just opposite the Palmerston restaurant which does a great selection of pastries every morning - definitely worth a visit. The shower was fantastic.

We were in the bottom room so there wasn't much light coming in as you had to keep the shutters closed for privacy. The beds in the twin room felt a little on the small side if you are tall!

Good clean, nice room, good facilities, quiet location and welcoming lobby area. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Haymarket apartments.

We couldn't open the window and our room was in the basement.

Entry was simple and easy, and thankfully not tied to Internet access. Apartment was huge and well-kitted. Plenty of radiators and windows to regulate the temperature. There even was a small desk fan available in the bedroom if you wanted airflow. Complementary nespresso, tea, and hot chocolate was very nice. There was also a fridge, toaster, microwave, and stove. Bathroom was excellent. Toilet flushed easily, shower was a decent size and had good pressure, and there was complimentary soap/shampoo/etc.

Unfortunately the tub was missing a drain plug so we couldn't take a bath, and the tub looked like it would've been fantastic (if we had been staying longer we would've contacted the property, but there wasn't much time).

Loved the location and loved the Apartment! Had everything we needed, spotlessly clean. we were celebrating our 40th Anniversary while we were there... When we arrived, there was a bottle of wine chilling in an ice bucket ..a really lovely touch! Thank you We both don't drink unfortunately but really appreciated it Definitely would go back to the apartment and would recommend it to everyone 🙂 👌 And of course Edinburgh is BEAUTIFUL 😍

Everything was perfect! There was nothing that we didn't like!

A well thought out apartment in a very nice building. Lovely furnishings and a comfortable bed. Great shower and bathroom. There are thoughtful touches everywhere you look. There were tea bags/coffee and a couple of biscuits already in the room. This apartment had everything you might need for a few nights stay. I did not hear a sound from other rooms.. I wasn't at my best as I came down with a flu type virus after arriving so I stayed in for 2 days. I was glad of the safe, comfortable apartment, close to Boots the chemist and a short walk to some cafes and shops for supplies. The big smart TV is great too. It was a short taxi ride to the Royal Mile and the airport and just a fantastic spot all around. The owner was very helpful and easy to deal with. I hope to return one day!

I would have liked to watch tv from bed in my sad and sorry state, but the partition between kitchenette and bedroom area is too high. This maybe on purpose of course, and there are 2 large comfy seats in the lounge area. I am sure most guests are out and about exploring Edinburgh anyway.

The apartment was clean with comfy bed & pillows. It was a good location . You can walk 20 to 30 minutes to royal mile. It is close to food . Take allied bus from airport and it will drop you off very close . Has what ever is needed . Big bathroom clean towels soap ect .Check in at 200 with door code. Easy . There were many stairs as we were on higher floor so if you can't do stairs make sure you look at this . Cabs right outside if needed by bus stops . If going to castle get tickets a day ahead it can be sold out . Great time
