We spent a few days in Grosvenor Suites, in a cosy apartment at the ground floor: the view to the internal garden was very nice and quiet. The apartment was fully equipped with all kitchen utensils, really nothing was missing. Every day we found the towels changed and the bedroom arranged. We suggest this accommodation in case you would like to visit Edinburgh because it’s close to the main streets, where buses run always on time and bring in a few minutes directly to the center; the railway station is about half an hour on foot, as the city center as well. Even if it’s central, near supermarkets, close to shops and main services, it’s located in a very green and quiet area: we slept silently.

The property was easy to find, central location, lovely room with back garden view, comfortable bed. Good cooking facilites. Room was made-up although we did not ask for it during our day trip.

It was not obvois what number room we had, had to hunt for information which was not included in the email for some reason. There is no extractor fan so cooking sasuages in the morning was a bit smokey. Could have done with tea towels for drying dishes. It would have been lovely to be able to open the patio doors especially there is such a lovely bakc yard. One of the bedeside tables was in the wrong place, maybe because I did not fit by the side of the bed, maybe smaller bedside tables would suit better otherwise having to put my glass on the floor. Dusty skirting boards.

We liked the location and the decor inside, especially in the entryway, was very fancy and aesthetic. The main front door, and the door to our room, were locked with codes and it felt very safe and secure. The bed was comfortable and the room, whilst small, had all the amenities and facilities we needed for our short stay. We felt very welcomed and comfortable during our stay and would recommend to anyone visiting Edinburgh.

It was very hot while we were staying, and although we could open the windows, we felt as though we would’ve benefited from being provided a fan as it was very humid outside. The inside bathroom door handle was not fixed into place and so came off in our hands if we pulled too hard - this could be easily put back on however, so not a major issue. The extractor fan in the bathroom was very noisy, however it was easy to turn off once turned on, so again, not a major issue.

Our check in & check out were very smooth, the instructions were given clearly before we arrive. Location was perfect, right next to the tram & walking distance to almost all the important destinations in Edinburgh!

There was a mouse in our room, it was running and hiding under the bed & behind other furniture. It was very frustrating, we weren’t able to feel comfortable even when we found it leaving the room under the door even when though it was of closed. We tried to block all the passages but we were still not sure if it was going to be able to come back in, we were left worrying the entire night.

Super easy check in/out process as they provide you a code and that’s all you need! The option to store luggage at a different site was helpful. The bed was extremely comfortable. Bathroom was clean and well maintained. I quite liked the small kitchenette and it had the basics that you need. The location was really good and it was so easy to get back the centre and the church at the top of the road was stunning!

You can really hear whether someone has entered/exited the building. The doors really slam and your room door is not sound proofed at all as you can see light from all edges. I wish the room door latch was improved or had a secondary chain as it looks like it’s one body slam away from being broken down. I noticed there wasn’t a luggage rack in the room (thankfully I only had backpacks with me), so something to consider maybe.

Stylish apartments not far from the centre Stylish apartments in a historical building, a room overlooking a nice and quiet back garden. All was clean and freshly decorated, kitchen and bathroom facilities in good condition. The room was spacious enough for two people, full of light and air. Our room was ready even before the check-in hour. There is no reception at that particular place, but they have other apartments within a 5-minute walk where you can personally contact a manager within the working hours (before 6 p.m.). A good location – Princess Street and the Castle easily accessible on foot.

We couldn't connect to the wifi in the room. We reported the problem to the manager, but unfortunately nothing changed during our stay. There is no elevator in the building – we didn't care much about that, but some people may find it problematic.

Booked accommodation (Junior Suite) better than expected. Pleasantly surprised to see it also offered Netflix (not advertised). Friendly and helpful cleaning crew. Excellent location and easy to reach (tram from Edinburgh Airport to Waverley Station, then 10-minute walk).

No communication possible after booking; no replies to messages sent via Booking.com or via email. Security code emailed only hours before arrival, which could have been problematic if I hadn't been able to connect to a free wifi hotspot. No reply to request to email the security code a day early.

Very spacious

There was a problem with the fan in the bathroom. We could not get it to stop! The biggest problem with Grosvenor Suites is the lack of information about the parking. Yes they tell you there is no parking except on the road but do not tell you where you might be able to park. The information about free Sunday parking is incorrect, you now have to pay between the hours of 12.30 and 6.30. Overnight parking is free but then you have a problem what to do with the car during the day. The meters are very expensive at £4.60 an hour BUT be aware the maximum stay is 4 hours. GrosvenorSuites did not tell us this important fact. If anyone is thinking of using this accommodation I can recommend Semple Street car park, EH3 8BL, where you can park for 10 hours at a cost of £14.

The house is a wonderful old residential structure so typical of the good old British cities, so it is an enchanting stay in Edinburg, offering a little bit of authenticity even from the place of accommodation. The rooms are spacious enough and very clean. The location is perfect, very close to Haymarket Station and, from there to the Princess Street , separating the Old Town and the New Town (city centers)

The tap water pressure is low, running water debit being a bit suboptimal, for both cold and warm water.

Excellent facilities. Second bed was sofa bed but this was made up for us into double bed before we arrived. Beds made up and new towels for our 2nd night. Large walk in shower and welll equipped mini kitchen. .Also able to leave our luggage before check in time. Good communication from hosts re check in etc

Water occasionally cut out on a morning xxx shower and taps . Probably due to demand from other flats and always came back on shortly afterwards but could cut out at in inonvenient times
