The hotel is so convenient to Haymarket Station - a quick 5-minute walk. We were easily able to come in and drop our baggage into storage as we arrived around 11 am. The cleaner was just starting work on our room and let us know that he'd be done in under an hour if we needed to come back sooner than the 3 pm check-in, which was lovely. We explored the city a bit and came back to catch our breath well before the listed check-in time. Then we had to catch our breath again when we opened the door - it's ENORMOUS! Huge living area, decent kitchen, nice bedroom, and bath and utility rooms. They specifically don't want you hosting parties but you could easily host a party with 20 guests in this space, it's that big. The kitchen was well-appointed with a cooktop, mini fridge and dishwasher, the washer/dryer worked - with a drying rack as well, the water pressure and plumbing were excellent in the bath. We were so cold after our visit to the castle and the heating even sent a shot of warmth through the towel bar so we got hot towels after our shower. BLISS! We were primarily on foot, and it's very walkable to Grassmarket and the Royal Mile. If you're a hoofer (we are) the walk up to Calton Hill is also not terribly far. The room is just down the street from EICC Pleasance Theater and there were shows there all day long during Fringe. I cannot overstate the convenience of being so close to Haymarket for trains and easy, cheap bus service to EDI. Sainsbury's is just down the street so you can put the fridge and stove to use to make your own breakfast or store up some good, cold Irn Bru.

The only thing that could be improved is a little human contact. It was so efficient but it's nice to see a person to give you local recommendations. Also, we were a bit confused on the combo washer/dryer and while our clothes were clean, they didn't dry properly. A user manual would have been good.

The apartment was in a great location, close to trams and buses, and lots of places to eat just around the corner. Also within a decent walking distance to Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile. It was lovely apartment, spacious and clean and had everything we needed. There was never a need to contact the hosts. Everything was in perfect order.

Be prepared for stairs if you have bad knees, but they are carpeted and thus were still quite manageable.

The building is fairly close to the Haymarket station (5 min by foot) and Waverley. The apartment itself is very cozy and well-decorated. You can tell the people who manage it are very attentive to details and I really appreciated that. It has all the appliances and amenities you would need for a short or for a longer stay (washing machine, hair dryer, coffee machine, toaster). The bed is very comfortable and the shower is state of the art. I especially liked the adjustable heater, it was a godsend after walking around the city all day. We loved that the apartment was close to all the places we wanted to visit, and we also had a few shops and restaurants in the area. There is no lift in the building, but for us it was no problem. Checking in was also very easy and communication with the team was absolutely stellar. All in all, a gorgeous experience that we would repeat anytime.

The room is quite big, and the furniture (couch and chairs) was comfortable and the shower room is good. The kitchen was well-equipped with saucepans and pans, and the stove, oven and kettle worked well. The house-keeping staff was very pleasant, and when I emailed the property with a request, I received a speedy response. The studio felt clean and I was very comfortable staying there.

The bed was a bit soft. My room was on the second floor, and although I was informed the day before my arrival that there was no lift, there was nothing I could do about it at such short notice. I think it is important to inform guests about this at the time of booking. There was nothing in the way of condiments in the kitchenette, not even salt and pepper.

Destiny Scotland - Distillers House offers a superb base for exploring the historic city of Edinburgh. One of its strongest assets is the excellent location, allowing you to comfortably reach Edinburgh Castle and other nearby landmarks within a pleasant 20-minute walk. This makes sightseeing incredibly convenient and enjoyable. The accommodation itself is spotlessly clean and remarkably well-organized. We particularly appreciated the fully equipped kitchen, which offers great flexibility for preparing meals and feeling truly at home during your stay. Practical conveniences enhance the experience, such as the luggage storage option for early arrivals, which proved to be very handy. Furthermore, the instructions sent before arrival are a standout – they are clear, concise, and incredibly easy to follow, ensuring a smooth and stress-free check-in. It's worth noting for those with mobility concerns or heavy luggage that there is no lift or elevator at the property. However, this is a minor point considering the overall high quality and convenience. In summary, Destiny Scotland - Distillers House provides a fantastic, self-sufficient stay in Edinburgh. With its prime location, impeccable cleanliness, thoughtful amenities, and seamless communication, it comes highly recommended.

The apartment is very nice, spacious and clean. It is also very well equipped. The bedrooms are confortable and the bathroom is particularly large. The apartment has plenty of natural luminosity. While there is no sofa bed, the sofa is very large and confortable for one person. Buses and the tramway are right in front of the door. Many good restaurants very close. The train station and the shuttle for the airport is less than 5 minutes away.

I very rarely say that bur the street noise is very loud and can be annoying during the night. The apartment is also a good 30 minutes walk from old town and main attractions.

Extremely well located, only 15 mins by foot from the city centre and 20 minutes from Edinburgh castle, the apartments are extremely comfortable and spacious. We had apt 1, 4 and 9, all 1 bedroom apartments, made out of a bedroom and a living room/ kitchenette. We enjoyed the street view from apartment 4 ( located on the ground floor), the outdoor terrace from apartment 1 ( lower ground floor situated) and the tranquility of apartment 9. We expected apartment 4 to be noisy due to the location on the ground floor but we didn’t feel at all disturbed by the comings and goings. The living room however being street oriented was a bit noisy due to the traffic, but that can’t be helped due to the positioning of the apartment.

The apartment was much bigger than I expected. The kitchen was well-equipped for my stay, large living area, separate dining area in an alcove, large contemporary bathroom and separate bedroom. Only 10 apartments and was very quiet at the back of the property. Ideally located about 5 mins walk from transport links at Haymarket and the conference centre. Camp beds for rent meant that a colleague could stay over one night.

Note there are no staff onsite. I was on the 2nd floor and there was no lift, which was OK for me, but it would have been a problem for someone with limited mobility or more luggage. Only a few tea bags/coffee pods, so had to buy my own.

We were in the top floor flat which had high ceilings and was very spacious. We knew about the lack of a lift and it wasn't a problem for us. Good storage options inside the flat and the kitchen had modern appliances and was well maintained. Complimentary coffee and tea were good. The host was easily contactable and responded quickly to a couple of questions we had. The luggage store on the last day was very useful too. Water pressure in the bathroom was great. Location wise was good for us with just a 20 minute walk or 5 minute tram ride to the centre of the new town. We would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Just a small suggestion, could do with better blinds in the bedroom to shut out more light in the mornings.
