Good location, clean room and bathroom. Staff were friendly

I had several emails about on line check in and upgrading etc before my stay. The on line check in links did not work, I also was offered an e upgrade to add breakfast - that did not work either. Staff at reception were perfectly nice but not friendly really and also no apology for the fact my online check in didn't work and/or the breakfast wasn't added. Breakfast was ok - lot of choice. They didnt have scrambled eggs as advertised so had to ask for these separately which took ages

The location was great. Walking distance to the castle and the Mile and Haymarket station.

Water pressure in the shower was low. Initially, one of our bed smelled of urine. When we informed the reception, it was promptly handled.

The location is good, easy access to bus,train and rail links. Booked a standard twin room and the one given was on the 4th floor. Room was a good size and was bright, clean and well decorated and bathroom had a bath with shower over. There is a restaurant and we had dinner there on one night of our stay, and we both enjoyed the food.

Breakfast was a bit chaotic. Good choices available in traditional continental breakfast items but hot, cooked breakfast was lacking in supply on both mornings we were there....not filled back up quickly enough when empty. There was a lack of staff available to ask for anything.. it says on menu if you want scrambled or poached eggs ask...but no staff around. So it's expensive at £13 to have to wander about with a plate wondering when more food going to be put out.

Great location for heading to Murrayfield and for then heading out after the match into the city centre as well. I was looking at booking closer to Murrayfield but with heading out after the match, it would’ve been a pain to travel back there. There’s a bar inside the hotel which was nice and plenty of bars/restaurants nearby.

They mention that on site parking is free, and if you don’t manage to get a parking space there, then they have another parking location a few minutes drive away which is £10 for 24 hours (great price for Edinburgh). However, I was lucky enough to get a space with their on site parking at the hotel, but they still charged me £10 for the 24 hours to park at there. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still a great price for Haymarket, but they do state that parking is free and I also emailed them to double check and a staff member assured me on site parking is free, so it’s a bit misleading there.

Great location. The hotel is within walking distance to Edinburgh Castle and there are lots of lovely restaurant around the hotel area as well. The hotel staff are very nice. We had a clean and decent size room with tea/coffee maker. They also have a proper coffee machine and hotel housekeeping were so nice to give us coffee capsule when we asked for some as we used all of the ones provided. We also enjoyed their breakfast buffet.

We were in room 336 and we can hear a sliding door opening and closing. This sound starts at around 8am and sometimes we can hear it in the afternoon as well. We got used to it in the end BUT would've been nice if we didnt hear it at all. The tiles in the bathroom and the paint on the bathroom door could do with an upgrade.

The infrastructure was very modern and comfortable and the services provided were quite good. Breakfast was really good also and they can pack your breakfast when you need to leave too early for excursions. Staff was welcoming, helpful and really nice

When the room was cleaned it wasn’t very clean and it look like they didn’t it in a hurry. It was conveniently located from the train and tram stations, but a little far from good restaurants and attractions. If you want to explore the city it might not be ideal. However, the price was fair considering prices in Edinburgh.

Very clean, beds very comfortable, quiet at night, the staff kindly allowed us to check in early as we’d travelled by sleeper train. Staff very friendly and helpful. Easy access to the main attractions and also near Haymarket station which takes you to Glasgow and other popular destinations.

Our key cards didn’t work on the lifts. It took til the end of the second day to sort this out. There was a bedside table in the room that was so wobbly that anything you put on it fell off. We left the door hanger asking for the room to be serviced and it wasn’t. And the breakfast buffet is horribly noisy and chaotic when it’s busy.

The staff are super friendly. If you needed anything they were quick to respond. Comfy beds and good size rooms. Good location and tram station within a few minutes which is direct to the airport.

Restaurant is silly expensive. 2 x hotdogs, 2 x cokes, a very average cheesecake and ice cream was £49. Our room had a terrible smell which I did make mention to reception. They did seem to sort it but it was back the next day. Our room also had patches of touch up paint on doors which was mismatched and looked like they needed to do a quick job.

Its a good location, its about a 15 minute walk to the centre. The hotel is modern and clean. The staff are friendly and the room was cleaned and restocked every day. The coffee pod machine is a nice touch, a few more pods would have been good. The bathroom was lovely, modern and had a powerful shower and I like the sheep on the wall 😃

There was a white bleach stain on the carpet that doesnt look very nice in our room 265. I know it's a big and expensive job but this carpet needs replacing as its not nice for guests staying as the room is actually very nice but that ruined it when we walked in.

Great location. Didn’t need the car to get where we wanted to go. Staff very helpful and friendly. On site car park. It did cost £10pn, but it is what it is. Had a fridge in the room which was very welcome as well as a coffee machine. Very comfy bed and a spacious room.

No do not disturb sign in bedroom and we aren’t ones who require a daily maid service, so because of that, they did come in our room. No instructions on how to operate the air con/heating. Shower door kept swinging open. Not enough coffee pods for use of the coffee machine. Nothing overly major and certainly not enough to stop us staying there again.
