* Very close to the bus stop and 7 mins walk to the tram station. * The room was spacious enough for 2 people and the furnishings were ok. *The bed size is enough for 2 people. * The WIFI was working good and there was electric sockets beside the bed.

As we were leaving at 8:30 or 9 am in the morning and coming back in the evening like a normal tourist, we couldn't see the staff to ask a question. They are coming late and leaving early. You cant find a staff for anything. At last, i asked my question via booking.com but they didn't reply. They don't stay at the hotel for long and they don't check the messages either.

- Location right opposite the Leith Links park, close to River of Leith walk, walking to New town (around 30 minutes) and Royal Mile (10 mins more) still perfectly doable - Close to tramway, bus to Holyrood Palace and Royal mile - bakeries, bars and restaurants in Leith all close by - Spacious room to fit a baby cot, a stroller and still have sufficient space - Joint area in the ground floor

- Payment options are not well explained, either the credit card used for the booking is charged or you got to pay in cash on-site. A bank transfer was offered as well, as a non-UK-citizen this would add hefty bank charges, though. - When we arrived a member of staff was on-site and helpful. Throughout the rest of our stay, however, we didn't meet anybody anymore

The Sandaig was very comfortable, quiet, secure and, to our delight, stocked with complementary sherry! The location is very convenient for tourists; right next to a bus stop, which ran very regularly and made a getting into the city much easier, as did the tram stop at Foot of the Walk. Roughly a £12 Uber ride into the heart of the city for our functions. Additionally, the shops on Duke Street just down the road were also very handy. Leith Links park is directly across the road and it is just beautiful. We loved the Leith area and highly recommend the Sandaig. We will definitely be back for our future travels.

Not so much a didn't like, but an observation for others: there is no designated parking for the venue that we could see, so if you have a car, the street out front and the side lanes fill up very fast.

Fantastic location, beautiful room, warm and with comfortable bed/ sofa bed, lovely well equipped bathroom, short walk to tram, even shorter walk to buses, and a very doable and interesting walk into the old town. Flexible host who allowed us to check in early (thank you). Excellent food options nearby and a really nice park across the road. Perfect! Thoughtful inclusions e g. plenty of charging options for phones/devices and little treats as well with sherry and shortbread available.

Can't think of anything, and there were no complaints at all.

Loved the quiet and security of the Sandaig and the two members of staff I made contact with seemed lovely. The room was comfortable and lovely though things like broken blinds and missing drawer handles did make it look a bit run down. The level of cleanliness was good and I appreciated the tea, coffee, and sherry! The pin pads on the doors made it feel secure and it was peaceful and quiet. Thank you!

The tiny TV was a bit sad but not a huge problem as I wasn't spending much time watching it.

Self Check-in/out process was easy, and location was great for getting into the city.

The bathroom fittings in room #2 were all a bit tired, with the tap needing attention, and a precarious broken & sloping shelf causing belongings to roll off into the toilet. The shower head was held in place with a wedged toothpick. One of the sash windows would not stay raised, and in high 20's temps this was not helped by a lack of a fan provided (not expecting aircon).

Great cosy modern interior and fantastic for bus links , the prices to park in Edinburgh are on the hipster side so a £5 day pass does the trick and bus stops are nice and close. On arrival I rang the doorbell and knocked several times but no answer. Rang the phone number roughly 6 times which went to voicemail Mail each time and left voicemails which were not responded to, . after around 15 mins I checked my text messages (my phone doesn't give text notifications) and found the owners had texted me hours earlier with instructions with codes for access, so a word of advice ..check your texts!. Price wise it was expensive as everywhere half decent in Edinburgh is pricey but in comparison to other places the cost was very reasonable. The room was spotlessly clean and modern plus the bed was comfortable. TV hardly picked up any channels but we were not there to watch TV. To round it off aside from the minor negatives we were very satisfied with the stay there and would stay again. Area is nice and safe and opposite a park.

There is no person on reception available but that's all. Everything else was good.

Comfortable, very clean, quiet, easy to find and check in. Luke the person on staff was extremely nice and helpful. Loved having a bath tub with ample hot water. Close to bus stop. I appreciated the extra touch of a welcome drink of Sherry and biscuits.

There were not any nearby restaurants, coffee shops or stores. Only one restaurant nearby on the map and it was closed. A mini-fridge in the room would be nice to store snacks since there are no nearby places to eat or drink. I would also recommend to the property to install some coat hooks by the door for the convenience of hanging coats, bags and umbrellas in the room.

Easy check-in and check-out, and the biscuits always available are a nice touch. The property is so clean, and directly across from a huge park, a bus stop is right outside the door. Everyone is super friendly and accommodating, and my room was large and comfortable. I stayed in an en-suite room on the ground floor that overlooked a garden and slept so well!

We had a great time Nice comfortable room, friendly staff - Leith has very good links to central Edinburgh with two busses outside and frequent trams (every 10 minutes)… free street parking it’s also really good place to explore (quirky not classy) with Michelin-star restaurants, lovely harbour

No locks on windows. Small tv (swop it with mirror). Clear instructions for opening front door as it’s unmanned at night - we missed the * so our bad!
