This is located on Leith Walk, the main route from Edinburgh to its port at Leith. The Walk has shops, restaurants and bars along most of its length so is a popular area. There are frequent buses and a tram going to the city centre. It is student accommodation, the room is a bit small for two people but I travelled alone and it was fine for my needs. There is also a large kitchen, with one shared between each five rooms. It was clean and toileteries, tea, coffee etc are provided at reception.

The bedding (a quilt) was a bit too warm for June. My room was a long way from reception along complex corridors. The signage to find your way out could be better.

Great spot in fab location just minutes from a tram stop and surrounded by bus stops. There are all sorts of tasty restaurants nearby. I especially liked the staff. They were, each one of them, kind and thoughtful, well trained and super helpful. The staff really made the stay so special.

The very long hallways have light sensors but the sensors don’t work very well so you wind up in these long pitch black caves trying to get to or from your room and negotiating the level changes without killing yourself. Sorry. I’m old so it really scared me that I might fall down the steps.

Location in Leith about 20 minute walk to Waverley Station/Royal Mile etc. Room size was great - studio.

Kitchen - oven was gross and microwave dirty. Spoke to reception and it was cleaned the next day - but to be honest it was still dirty, so didn't use. There was barely any crockery or cutlery, no kettle either, looked like cigarette burn hole in duvet cover. Housekeeping didn't knock to enter my room. On one day it was a female - I was dressed, so no problem, but the second occasion it was a male and I was half dressed - I was a little scared🙁. I know it's "student accommodation", but there should be minimum standards and it is still pricey for what you get. Left room cleaner than when I found it.

Compact room with clean bed and linens. Good amount of sockets, with some located close to the bed for convince. Shops and coffee shops within meters of the exit door. Perfect to pick up forgotten items or snacks. Access to the kitchen and use of facilities made it handy for keeping drinks or food cold or frozen, with use of microwave or oven/hob to cook or heat up again bonus. Having a movie night each night, with access to a games room and laundry service if required was a good extra for families and longer stay guests. Easy to get to, bus - No. 16 from Princes Street to Shrubhill, takes about 8 minutes with a 177 yard walk to the entrance door. All the staff we met were helpful, friendly and approachable.

Potentially, more cleaning of kitchens when guess's are staying, although this could be due to other guesses staying and not the property policy. Also could have done with a small desk lamp or bedside light in the room, the over head lights are amazing, especially when you need the bathroom in the night.

I was situated in a quite spot. I was an interesting journey to the room however it added character to the experience. I also loved the extended view from my room. I was able to see the beauty of the sun raising. The bed and linen was extremely comfortable.

My only issues was the drainage of flow in the shower. The murky water was building in the shower tray which is not nice to be standing in after you've cleansed yourself. The unplanned fire alarm was not the greatest at 4ish in the morning. Having participated as a big feature for the Edinburgh carnival, I just wanted to truly rest before my departure as I was really enjoying my stay.

The place itself is in an ideal location, which is the main reason why we booked this stay; its a minute walk to the bus stop that takes you practically to the most places you'd like to visit in Edinburgh. Also there are few good restaurants nearby, and a convenience store as well. Alright, the room itself is slightly small but basic amenities are provided, you have towel for each visitor (any extra ones are £5 per), shower gels and shampoos. If you feel warm they'll let you take a fan with a deposit (you don't pay upfront, you'll pay only if its broken). The room itself was clean, neat and tidy; toilet is well maintained as well. The reception was really helpful and friendly ask and they'll assisst you to the best they can. Overall it was a good stay, considering our last minute booking!

Its an affordable alternative to a hotel. The room had everything one needs, if you intend to spend minimal time in the room. Free toiletries and tea were nice addition. 24/7 reception was great benefit. Coffee shops, restaurants, bus and a general store are very close by walking distance

The shower has two knobs that you turn. One for water temperature and one for water pressure. The second knob was impossibly hard to turn off/on with wet hands and using towel is recommended.

This place had everything you could need for budget travel. The ladies at the front desk were very friendly and always ready to help with anything. The room itself was small and had only a 120 cm bed, a small desk, and a bathroom. But the flat included a full kitchen with a large fridge and freezer, an oven, a microwave, and a TV. You only share it with others in the flat, not the entire building. You can also buy later check out (at 12.00) for 10£. The bottom floor had a laundry room, which cost about £5 for both the washer and dryer. There was also a hangout room on the bottom floor with sofas and a TV.

The bed is a little small for two adults

Fully equipped kitchen, warm room, bright room with openable window, Sainsbury's local is just right downstairs, 24/7 receptionist, close by bus and tram stops.

I came twice to borrow a hairdryer, but it was just never there. My room was at the very end of this maze-like building, so that was a bit annoying (not sure if the other rooms were full). The location is not bad, but a bit far to walk to the centre but too close for a single ride with the public transport (which costs £2), so maybe something to take into account before booking. The automatic bathroom light was terrible, it went off every 2 seconds of no movement.

The accommodation was small, but very well designed and comfortable. I really liked the quality of the space, the friendliness of the staff, and the fact that it was close to supermarkets and located on a main street. Overall, it was a cozy and pleasant place to stay.

The size was a bit limiting, which might not be ideal for longer stays. However, every flat has a kitchen/living room that helped. The only problem was that it was only cleaned once a week.
