Fabulous stay. Can't praise highly enough - room was spotless, facilities perfect (bath was a delightful surprise). Breakfast was fresh and beautifully laid out in an exquisite dining room. Hilary and Martin were obliging and so friendly. I'm bookmarking and will stay again next time I'm in Edinburgh.

What a perfect stay. Hilary was a friendly, accommodating host and made sure we were catered for - we stayed to see Taylor Swift and she was just as enthusiastic as us! Our room overlooked the garden and just felt so luxurious. Beds were comfy, breakfast was DELICIOUS, I couldn't fault a thing. We loved Six Brunton Place and would definitely stay again!

A beautiful historic BnB located approx 15 minutes walk to Holyrood Palace and then the Royal Mile. Note it is a walk that has a constant incline up to Edinburgh Castle. We had the Garden room with direct access to a courtyard garden. Bed was very comfortable and room included a lovely sitting area with ensuite. Close to restaurant options(15 min walk). Breakfast was a continental breakfast with a nice selection of Granola Cereals Fruits Pastries and Toast. The room was large, quiet but down a staircase to the lower level. Check in was easy and our host was very friendly and approachable.

There was nothing l didn't like however note there is no lift in this building.

Presentation as described. Service excellent. Location great.

Nothing to criticise. Maybe a mini fridge would have been good.

We stayed in the garden room, and it was delightful! Large, well appointed and comfortable, with our own access to a shared garden. The hosts attention to detail was very apparent, and the room reflected this. Very centrally located, and a brisk walk to the royal mile. The included breakfast was delicious and the setting was immaculate. Felt very royal. Though i would have loved a hot course

Not an issue with the property, but if you are driving, parking in the area is difficult to find. We parked for a few mins to unload and went straight to return our rental.

A fantastic stay, lovey staff, great fresh breakfast included, lovely clean rooms with tea and coffees and a great sized bathroom. The location was within a few minutes of a bus stop and surprisingly near the centre of town. The value for money on what was the Taylor Swift Eras tour weekend was excellent. We found the house easy to access at any time of day with our key, I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. I almost made the mistake of booking the cookie cutter holiday inn but we felt this really added the the experience of being in Edinburgh.

There wasn't a lot but the only possible improvements I could suggest would be a mini fridge in the room and a slightly larger TV with a chrome box or means the stream to would have been great.

Brunton House was an extremely pleasant experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Our mattress was a little hard for my partners hips however, this was easily remedied by the addition of a mattress topper. Hilary was very helpful in this matter. The continental breakfast was always tasty and frequently replenished, plenty of fresh fruit and pastries. Lovely coffee as well. Brunton House is easily placed for walking into the city centre and is on the main bus routes if you require we like walking so we felt easily placed to visit new and old locations we had seen before. A lovely stay many thanks.

The only thing I can think to mention was the chocolate croissants at breakfast were a little dry for my taste.

Friendly welcome and introduction to accommodation. Beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Fresh ingredients at breakfast served with smiles and light chat and a fantastic view of trees and the hillside. The location was so convenient for all areas of the city.

On a busy road, but when inside or out in the garden, you weren't aware of any traffic noise. Even in the breakfast room, your eyes were drawn to the trees across the road rather than the road or people walking by below, so not really a negative at all !

Excellent location approx 20 min walk to Waverley train station and plenty of bus options which run regularly. We used the bus stop across the road and never waited more than 10 mins for a bus. House is beautiful an exceptionally clean. There is no cooked breakfast but you will be made aware of this at time of booking.

My only criticism is the size of the bathroom. The shower is a good size but the sink is tiny. Having said that the landlady couldn't have done any better with this space and it does have a window which was a bonus.

We had a very short stay and we didn’t expend to much time there but the bedroom was perfect! A very confortable bed in a large bedroom. Everything was very carefully taken care of down to the last detail. Hilary is really nice and she is the one who makes everything work so well. We really enjoyed the breakfast, it was very complete so we definitely would repeat it. Thanks Hilary!

If there is anything negative I can say, it might be that it is not very well prepared for people with special physical needs.
