The location is good. There are fun places to eat and unwind the day nearby. We loved the variety of cuisine available nearby. Major tourist spots (Buchanan street, Kevingrove, Necropolis) are all at walking distance. We did the entire sight seeing in 1 day with our infant. We even walked from station to hotel so it is greatly accessible location. The staff were also knowledgeable and helpful. We took breakfast at additional cost of 10 GBP per person which was also great. Over all a great stay

No toothpaste/ brush provided. But we were able to manage as we carried our own toiletries.

If you're looking for an affordable and central location in Glasgow within a diverse gastronomical area, this is your choice. The staff is friendly going the extra mile to meet your needs, always there and easy to reach out to.

About the installations, one notices the new renovations made on top of the old structures, one or two things may need some fixer upper, but nothing severe that interferes with the functionality of the room. The only thing that I would personally change would be the carpet floor, which isn't the most hygienic and hypoallergenic choice.

The Lodge was freshly decorated and the bathroom had been given a refit to a high standard We were able to park in one of their spaces for free for the two days. Breakfast was in the associated hotel, which was a bit scruffy on the outside but also recently renovated inside. Breakfast room was a bit pokey when busy but the staff were friendly and the food reasonable quality. Nice porridge. Location was great, near Kelvin Grove Park, museum, and university and the Cresent it was in was rather smart in itself.

Sausages too cheap! Beds a bit tired, chair a bit stained, carpet only had a loose association with the floor it was on, but these were minor issue.

The manager and staff were very accommodating and friendly. They allowed me to leave my luggage early and were more than happy to offer insight into where to go/how to get there. Very clean room with newly fitted en suite bathroom.

It's not the hotel's fault, obviously, but I did stay on one of the hottest days in recent years and was unable to open the window. To be honest, I didn't ask if they had any fans etc.., I just put up with the heat as I was leaving very early morning. Again, not really a complaint as we don't really get many days like that! Other than that, excellent all-around comfort.

perfect location for our stay for a university graduation event ,hotel is in the west end area of Glasgow and close to the university,also easy access via taxi/bus or a 15/20 minute walk to city centre , the recent and ongoing refurbishment is looking good, our room and bathroom were very acceptable. The two guys ( sorry i didn't get your names)we met on reception over the 2 days were very polite very helpful, nothing was a trouble to them, both helped us with our parking/direction queries and even after we'd checked out we were helped with a parking hiccup of our own making, we were so grateful for the help and couldn't thank the guy enough. All in all a very good all round experience that helped towards our special celebration , we will definitely stay again the next time we're in Glasgow

The staff were welcoming , friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location close to the city centre and venues such as the SSE Hydro, Kelvingrove Park etc. A quiet area despite being close to Sauchiehall Street. Breakfast is available at an extra cost at the sister property just round the corner. The food was excellent and the choice is extensive if you want the full works. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Tea making facilities, shampoo provided. Room size was good. I would recommend this property and would stay here again.

The shower door didn't close completely and the toilet seat fixing needed tightening. I told the person at the reception desk who said that the room was due for a refurbishment soon. It was a basement room so the view wasn't great but for the price it was a minor consideration.

Parking at the front door. Very friendly front desk staff, with everything well explained. Location is very good if you are attending a show at the OVO, etc, as it's a walkable distance. The room was spotless, comfortable bed & pillows. Recently decorated/fitted out. The shower room was immaculate. The breakfast was very tasty & very good value for £10. You do need to go to a different hotel to have this, but it is a 1-2 minute walk, so don't be put off.

The only thing was the radiator in the shower room didn't come on, so it was quite cold when you came out of the shower. The breakfast was very nice, but the staff were quite inappropriate. Complaining openly about other people and using inappropriate foul language. Didn't offend us, but others may not have thick skin!

Amazing location and staff. The price is unbeatable and the area is full of amazing spots to eat and explore. The breakfast is a nice way to start the day, and front desk staff are super helpful with any request.

No real complaints. For US travelers, just remember these are smaller rooms compared to what we see in the US. I spent a week at this property was able to stash my things and have space to move about.

Everything was great The rooms were so clean The staff was welcoming I'm satisfied with the service and if I'm visiting Glasgow again I know where I can stay😁💕 Such a good place

Just one thing to say In my opinion the staff could have put a little smile to the face because it's always charming if someone puts a smile on the face while welcoming Not complaining but she did a very good job and she knew what she was doing but a little smile could have made a lot big difference. Other than that she was the best

Sandyford Lodge is just concluding a renovation and judging by the result in my room it is to a very high standard - in particular my shower room/toilet was all brand new and good quality and well installed. The front desk is friendly when you go in and despite the location near the end of Sauchiehall Street and the Finnieston nightlife it didn't have rowdy guests on the weekend I stayed. Breakfast is taken in the nearby (presumably linked) Sandyford Hotel, which also looks like it's being renovated. I wasn't sure what to expect when I went across but in fact I received one of the best guesthouse breakfasts I've had in many years - a decent continental selection and a full choice of good, homecooked hot items, served with some cheerful Scots mothering.

The bed was lovely and comfortable but the pillows were a bit hard for me. Rooms in the rear of the guesthouse overlook the yard, which is currently full of renovation rubbish. I do hope that this is removed when the works conclude.
