Tony was super friendly and made us feel right at home. He is very funny and easy to chat to and gave us great suggestions for places to visit. He also rememebered that we were there for my friend's wedding and asked us about how it went the next day - the little things like that are always really appreciated. The breakfast was brilliant, best bacon I have ever had! Due to an issue with our planned room we were upgraded free-of-charge to a room with a sea view, which was so beautiful we've decided that next time it will be worth paying the extra for the sea view as it made the stay so much better.

We did have an issue with the light in our bathroom on the first day, however Tony was very quick to get a replacement and sort this out for us.

Excellent stay, great helpful jolly hosts, excellent English breakfast cooked to order normal choices also available, hosts done it all without issue all in their stride and kept everyone happy. The views from our windows were stunning as promised they even contacted me to see if we were okay with stairs for best view, Very clean throughout, and a really good shower, everything you need was provided in the room (even a fridge I didn’t find until the next day as it was tucked neatly away in a bedside cupboard😂), Hosts take a real pride in their place, A home from home and will be back I’m sure, Thank you Tony&Sally👍

Can honestly not think of anything we disliked

Stayed overnight on 12/7/2025, from the minute we checked in Tony was a mine of information as to where to visit, drink and eat, a beautiful location right on the lovely beach at Herne Bay, plenty to see and do there, our room was clean, bed was very comfortable, breakfast was nice, we even got to see the family of foxes that visit in the far end of the premises through the window on the top floor 😀 absolutely amazing hosts who go the extra mile to welcome you, when we visit Herne By again I look forward to staying at this wonderful bed and breakfast, highly recommend

Host Tony was super helpful and recommended places to visit and good places to eat. Took breakfast orders for myself and my grandson and there was a plentiful selection. Our twin bed room was comfy (shower on the small side but adequate for a quick freshen up). B&B is in great location and nearby you can get a bus to Canterbury or Whitstable. We did take the opportunity to visit Canterbury which was a great day. Herne Bay is not a sandy beach place (Margate may be better for that) but has a good pier, amusements, lovely sunsets and great restaurants and must try Scoop for the ice creams which were amazing. Cant rate Tony high enough as he is super friendly, chatty and obliging. Would happily stay again.

Aqua Bay is excellently positioned right on the sea front and very close to all amenities. It is run by Tony and his good lady wife and it truly felt we were staying with friends rather than a guest house. Our room was very comfortable the bed afforded a great night sleep. Everything was provided in the room to make our stay very comfortable. Even a pair of binoculars to look out to sea. Great touch. Aqua Bay is very clean. Plenty of choices for breakfast to cater for all tastes (we had full English) served by Tony in the lovely breakfast room.

Lovely location, very clean and nice. Breakfast was delicious!

The parking was difficult. There is free parking from 6pm-8.30am over night, but would get very full very quickly on weekends, we did struggle to find spaces. We did move our cars to public parking, some of the public parking won’t let you extend for 24hrs, so we would have to move our cars again during our stay. If you time it well, and happy to walk, you may be able to find free parking but this is something to consider. We would come visit again but via train!

Host ( Tony ) was very welcoming and obliging. He was also a font of knowledge about the local area and could help with restaurant and parking recommendations etc. He also watched over the car on double yellow lines whilst we unloaded and loaded prior to departure.

For the money, not a lot really. Pigeons were a bit noisy in the morning but nothing major ;-)

The hosts were so welcoming and friendly. The beachfront location was perfect . We stayed here as we were attending a wedding which was on the pier which made the hotel perfect for us to stay in as the pier was a short walk away. Our rooms were comfy and clean and.our breakfasts were delicious. Thankyou for a lovely.stay . We will.be back .

Tony and Sally were fantastic hosts, so hospitable and friendly. They welcomed us like we were old friends and were very accommodating with helping to store our bikes after a long days ride. The room had a lovely sea view as advertised and very close to amenities.

Tea or coffee making facilities in the room might be a nice additional touch. The shower is a touch on the small size, but only an issue for those on the taller side.

Sally and Tony were very welcoming & friendly and we enjoyed chatting with them. We were a group of 6 women walking part of the coast. Forgot to advise re vegetarians/vegan/1 gluten intolerant. They were really flexible & provided tasty breakfasts for all of us. The rooms are lovely - small but clean, bright, nicely decorated, comfortable beds. The location is fab, right by the pier. It was spot on for our group - thank you.
