We absolutely loved everything about our stay at The Crescent Turner Hotel, from check-in to check-out. The room was stunning, the views were breathtaking, the food was exceptional, and the service was second to none. There was truly nothing we didn’t like! The only slight confusion was with DBB (Dinner, Bed & Breakfast), as while dinner was included, it was actually an allowance rather than a full meal. However, once we understood it, it made sense and didn’t take away from our amazing experience. Overall, a fantastic stay, and we can’t wait to return! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Everything about it was amazing!! The main positive was the team. From the warm welcome by Sarah, despite me arriving late on Sunday evening, and then every member of the team throughout the whole week being just kind, friendly and helpful. Pam, Ann Marie, Harriet and Natalie were especially so and made me feel so welcome that it made my week away from home, a real pleasure. The rooms are beautiful and so comfortable, with views that you can only imagine being raised up and looking out to sea. The restaurant was a joy and the food, prepared by truly caring chefs, was simply delicious and excitingly different, if you chose to be adventurous. Thank you Team! I really hope to see you all again soon.

The welcome of the staff was fantastic. We were made to feel at home immediately and our boys felt comfortable even though there weren't other kids around. The family room was wonderful - it narrow and long, with the kids staying at the opposite side of the room with 2 1-seaters in between and a dressing table. The boys loved it - they even had their own TV!! The staff really went out of the way to help us and make sure our stay went better than planned!

The coffee and tea station could be improved with a small Nespresso-like machine, which would make a real difference. A selection of herbal teas would also be a nice addition. A small fridge with fresh milk would have been greatly appreciated, especially for families like ours who need to store medication. I imagine we’re not the only ones in this situation, so a fridge would be a valuable addition. It would also be helpful to have hand soap available, rather than just shower gel and shampoo (which were lovely!)

The room was lovely, with an amazing view. Unfortunately it was too windy to enjoy the balcony when we stayed, but we still managed to enjoy the sunset from inside through the large picture window. The room was compact, but very comfortable, with everything you'd want and a spacious bathroom. Good breakfast.

A bit of a way out of town, so not ideal for non-drivers like us. Taxis were easy to book, and only about £6 each way though. It was easily walkable back down hill into town the next morning-about 30 mins (the hotel is on a narrow country road so not advisable to walk after dark).

Last minute decision to stay in Whitstable, as love the food/restaurants in this town, and visit a few times every year just to eat. But was most pleasantly surprised to find that not only was the room comfortable and spotless and very good value for money with lovely view and big bed, but they have amazing restaurant on site, so had both dinner and breakfast there. Great food, and we have dined all over the world, this was top class! Staff were friendly, helpful and genuine ..would visit again just to see your friendly faces again.

The duvet is too warm. Is a personal preference. Would prefer thinner duvet with blankets/throws to add warmth if required.

We've stayed here a few times but this is the first since some of the changes/renovations. An improved, even more relaxing lounge area, an exquisite dining pavilion with stunning views but losing none of its boutique charm. But the best by far for us was the new menu. We've eaten in many of the finest restaurants but that was the best 3 course dinner we've had in years. The presentation, the mix of flavours, served by the affable, relaxed but attentive and efficient staff. On top of that, the room was well-appointed with an extremely comfortable bed and a delicious waitress-served breakfast topped off a very enjoyable experience. We have never been in the summer but certainly will be this year!

Really comfortable and with a great location and super friendly and helpful staff. I had a minor issue with the wi fi in my room.When I mentioned it to Sarah she couldn’t have been more helpful in speedily offering me an alternative room.When I returned pm I found out it wasn’t just a room change but a super upgrade to a much larger room with a super sea view.Everywhere is spotlessly clean and the whole place has a friendly and homely feel.Unlike many “chain” hotels here you can see the difference the personal passion of an owner /manager makes.Well done to Sarah and her team and when I next visit Kent I won’t be going anywhere else

My wife and I recently celebrated our first wedding anniversary at The Crescent Turner, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with thoughtful touches that set the tone for our stay. A beautifully presented plate of chocolates, elegantly adorned with "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate sauce, awaited us alongside a chilled bottle of bubbly—a gesture that instantly made us feel special. The room was impeccably clean, with every detail attended to, ensuring maximum comfort. The staff at The Crescent Turner truly go above and beyond, and their attentiveness made our stay extraordinary. A particular highlight of our visit was Maria, who welcomed us with genuine warmth and looked after us with incredible care throughout our stay. Her dedication to ensuring we had the best experience was evident in every interaction. From accommodating our requests to adding those little extra touches that make a trip memorable, Maria was an outstanding host who made us feel right at home. The culinary experience was equally delightful. John and his breakfast team provided a morning feast that catered to every taste. The selection of cooked and continental options was both delicious and beautifully presented, ensuring we started our day on a high note. The Crescent Turner is truly a hidden gem, perfect for a romantic getaway. We’re already counting down the days until our next visit. First of all, the staff. Each and every one of them were wonderful. Friendly, attentive and helpful. Could not fault a single one of them. I was asked to switch rooms after one night to help out a disabled guest which was fine and I was moved to a much larger room with a lovely sea view. The hotel has a wonderful view from the restaurant and adjacent terrace across the garden and countryside to the sea. In clear and sunny conditions it is very pretty. The restaurant is very good. I had breakfast and dinner and both were excellent and reasonably priced. Service was exceptional. Hotel is about 2 miles from Whitstable so it's a 40-45 minute walk each way if you don't want to drive and try and find parking. That said, if you can find parking it's 5 minutes by car.

The one thing lacking was a comfortable indoor lounge. There were some sofas in the reception area but that is quite dark. There are chairs and tables in the restaurant of course but that is, well, a restaurant. The outdoor terrace is lovely but if the weather's bad, there isn't really any alternative place to sit and, maybe, read or have a coffee in comfort other than go back to your room. But this really isn't a major complaint and didn't adversely affect my stay because the weather wasn't that bad for the most part.

The hotel has great character and charm. It has the most fantastic views over countryside and the Thames estuary. The staff couldn’t have done more to help us enjoy our stay. We phoned ahead to let them know we would be arriving shortly after the kitchen closed at 20:30. They suggested we could pre-order so the food would be ready when we arrived, which was very thoughtful and worked perfectly. All the staff we met were exceptional.

Our own silly fault - we found the pillows a bit too soft but didn’t think to mention it until we were checking out. If we’d thought to mention it, they could have given us some firmer ones!
