During our recent stay, we particularly want to commend the staff member who welcomed us on our first day of check-in. He truly has the “customer service face” and the professional manners that create an immediate positive impression. From the moment we arrived, he was warm, courteous, and attentive — setting the tone for our entire stay. Throughout our visit, he consistently maintained this high level of service, and it genuinely stood out. Alongside the Friday afternoon receptionist, who was equally pleasant and welcoming, these two individuals made our experience memorable for all the right reasons. We believe such dedication to excellent customer service should be recognised and rewarded.

One thing we were disappointed with, however, was that our towels were not changed during the stay, even though we had placed them in the bath as per the instructions on the sign. We hope this is addressed for future guests to maintain the same high standards reflected by the staff’s excellent service.

The location of the hotel was great, easy to find and get to. On arriving we were given a warm welcome and booked in with efficiency. The breakfast was good, plenty of choice and the hot food was delicious.

We were disappointed with the bedroom it was dated, the carpet had many rucks in it and although clean was very old, as were the curtains, it was a room that’s been well used over the years. We were surprised when we were told we would have to pay for parking, we were not expecting this but what could we do we needed to park overnight; this turned into a challenge when we returned from the evening out to find the car park full from people attending an event at the hotel, would we have received a refund if we had been unable to find somewhere to park? Only one lift was working, making it a long wait when it was busy.

Service throughout was excellent, especially the breakfast and bar staff., who clearly weren't expecting to be quite as busy as they were over the weekend.

The toilets looked tired and weren't cleaned or maintained very well during the day. The lift was awful, tbh - they were very small and the doors were painfully slow to open and close. And while I appreciated the breakfast staff were under pressure in the mornings, it was a bit frustrating that one of the coffee machines clearly just needed the time and date resetting, but none of the staff stopped to do so, even though breakfast still had 2 hours to run.

We’ve stayed at the hotel on a number of occasions and find it the best for our needs when visiting Kenilworth. It’s comfortable and convenient with good facilities. Our bathroom had seemingly been renewed recently and it was a pleasure to use.

Not a lot, but with the amount of cars parked around the hotel parking is not much fun especially for blue badge holders. This Holiday Inn like many of the hotels we use certainly looks its age, especially with respect to decoration and furnishings. A significant investment would be necessary I guess to make it seem really good.

The room was a Disability room, on the ground floor, on its own, and was larger than I had expected with a spacious wet room /toilet. The facilities, Flat screen etc. all worked well, and the bed was comfortable. The fact that the room was next to the Bar did mean that I did not need to worry about keeping quiet at night or early morning. I cannot sleep sometimes. One morning I had breakfast in the hotel and was pleased with the quality and variety available. The Hotel is central to almost everything, although the Old High Street is a bit of a walk. If you want a real old time pub, go to The Lion, but there are plenty of other drinking establishments. For Fine Dining, try The Cross on New Street, a Michelin Star restaurant. The staff at The Holiday Inn Kenilworth were helpful, efficient and pleasant, and I complement them on their ability to deal with everything thrown at them. Salud!

Gold taps and Champagne fountains! - Nothing. All was excellent.

They had a telephone for me to talk and pick up for any enquiries that I had for reception. e.g. Where to fill water for the kettle. And left me a menu for any meals that I'm interested in eating.

One of the bedsheets was torn apart and had a hole in it and it needs to he replaced as part of health and safety. Also they didn't clean my room on a regular basis even though some parts of the room were a bit dirty when I left a card on the door handle for them to come and clean the room at one stage so it was a bit disappointing.

The location was very good as it was within 15 minutes, by car, of Stoneleigh park where we attended the Go Dive show. The ambience of this hotel was lovely too. I wasn't able to have the full breakfast as I wasn't feeling well. I liked the fact toiletries were provided like shampoo and conditioner as well as hand lotion. I didn't find the room noisy at all, even though it was right near a busy road.

The room was too warm to start with, but once the electric standing one was unplugged and the window opened a crack, it cooled down enough to be comfortable.

Excellent staff - all very helpful and friendly, in particular everyone was very positive towards our little dog. Room was relatively spacious, if a little basic. The room was clean and comfortable - a great base for travelling around the surrounding area.

Air-conditioning was not working - this is the 3rd consecutive visit in 4 months and 3rd different room where we have had this problem at this hotel. It seems to be a problem throughout the building and desperately needs to be fixed. The food selection available through the bar is relatively limited - there is a 'proper' kitchen at the hotel, so the menu could feature more variety and could be a lot healthier.

My family and I stayed over Christmas and really appreciated all the special touches. A card from the staff, chocolate selection boxes for the children, mince pies available with the free coffee, and Christmas crackers to pull with our breakfast! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location at the top of Kenilworth town centre and Abbey Fields, and not far from the castle, is super.

Our room was a squash for four people staying several nights, but we could have expected that for the price. Next time, we will probably get two rooms.

Superb breakfast. Everything you could want was available. Hot food was cooked to perfection. A nice touch too to supply paper bags so you could take something away to eat away from the hotel. Every member of staff we had contact with were very friendly, helpful and attentive. A credit to the hotel! Room was spotlessly clean and contained everything you could want. All public areas are attractive and inviting. Ample free parking. Excellent location in town centre with bus stop immediately outside.

Would have liked towel rails in the bathroom to hang towels on to dry. Nowhere to put them to dry. Shower for us was not powerful enough. Our room was near the lifts, one of which has a very squeaky door which could be continually heard in our room from about 6am onwards. Some of the hot buffet food at breakfast could be a bit hotter but appreciate that this is hard to achieve when a buffet.
