The breakfast was ok but I would have liked the option to order poached eggs and have it served on toast rather than preparing the toast myself and the eggs( fried/ scrambled ) being brought out separately. Also I would have liked the option more cut fresh fruit and vanilla or strawberry yoghurt option. The chocolate croissant which was only offered at the first breakfast was delicious. Staff were lovely and helpful .

Fire alarm went off twice on both mornings it was at 7am on the Sunday. Staff said it was due to steam from showers so perhaps bathroom doors need a sign to keep closed whilst showering.

The hotel is modern and clean. I don't mind old and rustic either but after reading rather damning reviews of this hotel before we had even stayed here, made me a little apprehensive. However the reception area is sleek and clean. Our room the same. Other reviews complained there were no chairs in the room. There wasn't, but this wasn't for me a deal breaker. There was an ironing board but I guess I would need to ask for an iron from reception, again not a problem for me. The bathroom was really nice, especially the shower! I do love those rainfall showerheads, also a more conventional one if preferred. Comfy beds, hubby and I had the twin bed option & there was plenty of room. Clean fluffy towels. Kettle etc. Breakfast was extra at 9.99 each but we didn't take up the option so can't comment on that. The hotel is just off a busy A road and our room was at the front but it was still quiet. There is an Indian Restaurant at the rear of the building and we used their bar and outside seating terrace to enjoy a lovely peaceful G&T! We will definitely return as the hotel is ideally placed for Leamington Spa, Kenilworth & Warwick. A special shout out to the lovely Shifana on reception. A credit to the hotel when we needed a TV controller and some more tea/coffee/milk. Lovely lady with beautiful manners. If you're after a short stay in the area or even a week, you can't go wrong with the Riverside Hotel.

I will dig deep to find a negative.... The tea/coffee/milk/sugar tray is quite minimal but a short walk to reception remedied that with more supplies collected. There was no TV remote in our room. Shifana found us a replacement, no trouble.

The hotel and the room we stayed in were clean and tidy. We only stayed for one night but we had a good sleep on a comfy bed. The atmosphere is chilled and quiet and the facilities are decent. There was a lovely shower with perfect water pressure which I find really important. The staff at reception were informative and polite. There is free parking on site.

The property looks old therefore there are stains on the walls and furniture from leaks , wear and tear, etc but this is not that important considering it was a short stay and we only needed a place to sleep and shower.

I thought this was a very practical and spacious hotel. You can tell that it has seen better days like many hotels these days, but it is still worth a stay. All you can eat breakfast was well stocked and warm and good value for the price. Sometimes the breakfast foods in hotels taste low quality but the food at breakfast tasted how food should taste.

Everything was good nothing to complain about. Just the young man who checked us in could have been friendlier but he was foreign so maybe he was being friendly in the way he is used to.

How clean and inviting it was. We decided to eat in arriving shortly before the kitchen closed. This was not an issue for the Hotel who checked if there was anything else required from the kitchen before it closed. Everyone we met was very polite and helpful, even the young man having his lunch break. For the size of the Hotel it seemed very quiet, maybe because it was mid week when we stopped there. Would make a lovely venue for a wedding or party, shame it's not local to me or I would have considered it for my 70th or granddaughters 21st.

Lol the usual banging of doors by other guests, but it's like that at all hotels.

The staff are really friendly and welcoming. The place is clean and although it is a little rough around the edges because of the age and architecture of the hotel, is quite a nice place to stay. The room was basic but had everything I needed for my stay. The bed was comfortable and I had a good night's sleep. There is a huge car park. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to try the restaurant but if I stay again I will. On the whole great value for money.

The bedroom furniture is a little worn but it was clean.

The Riverside Hotel was formerly a Ramada Inn , I understand; it was reopened as Riverside in 2024 after significant refurbishment ( which is still continuing; not all completed yet). There were a few minor issues with this ( see below). Plus points; good value (was I on a special weekend rate?); clean, well- heated and air con room; pleasant and helpful staff; excellent value full service breakfast; bar and evening meals service again good value, although menu is predominantly Asian/Indian. Ample car parking. Very convenient for National Agricultural Centre, Stoneleigh- where I was attending an event.

The v. large double bed ( comfortable, but a bit ‘soft’ for me) took up most of the room space, which restricted the provision of other facilities. eg no chair(s); no hanging rail or coat hangers in the fitted wardrobe space; no other coat pegs for eg outdoor clothes. No sink plug in bathroom washbasin; no clothes hanging hooks in bathroom etc.(* it felt like the refurbishment of that room -119-had not quite been finished!). I also had great difficulty in operating the in-room multi-channel digital TV ; finding simple terrestrial channels eg BBC, ITV etc proved very complicated, but I was assisted ( on two occasions!) by the helpful duty manager ( Albert?). Room could prove quite constricted and congested if occupied by two adults and their luggage.

It was very quiet despite its proximity to a busy A road. The bed was extremely comfortable. The shower was good, the bathroom and bedroom were both good. The aircon was fabulous. There are hundreds of channels on the TV as opposed to just Freeview. The staff were all fantastic, all very professional and helpful and efficient. The food was good. It’s mainly curries and fast food with fries. There is also a comfortable bar. There is more than enough parking.

I cannot think of anything at all.

Comfortable bed and excellent shower. Tea & coffee tray. The room was clean and modern. I also liked the tv in the bedroom. Individual heating control.

The bar facilities ended at 11pm for residents and although I did not require drinks after 11 on this occasion I would not rebook on a more social occasion. There were no bedside lockers or tables which may seem trivial but nowhere to set your teacup or phone.

very brief stay midnight to 7 am but pleasantly surprised at the standard of the hotel. nothing t really write home about but it was well maintained, v efficient staff, clean quiet, ample parking, and a very good bed. well established but certainly not a tired old retread one stumbles across . its on my list to use again! and I hope I have more time to explore its environs and facilities .

a sachet or two of Decaf coffee would have been nice..
