The facilities were great, and the hotel was beautiful. The room, our cozy double, was indeed cozy. The breakfast staff was kind, the wonderful man serving hot food was smiling, kind and patient. The people at the front desk were kind, and even found time for you in check-in "rush hour". Truly appreciative of a great stay. When we checked in, the clerk found us another room with higher ceilings so-as-to accommodate my height, which was a wonderful gesture, and not something I'd have expected! We were able to forgo room service in exchange for a voucher for the gin bar. win/win to be able to both help the climate by reducing wasteful washes AND get a cheaper gin & tonic. What a life, huh.
When we arrived, I was informed that we'd have to pay an additional fee as a "safety deposit". This was, to my knowledge, not something I was warned about prior to us arriving. It could potentially derail a vacation for someone traveling on a tighter budget. It's not something I'm used to in my travels, as I usually expect a hotel to assume the best about their guests. Come to think of it, I'm not even sure I've gotten it back yet. While it was only 30 quid, I'd rather the hotel didn't demand a cover charge for potential vandalism. It was quite jarring to experience, when you've already paid hundreds to stay there. With that said, it was still a pleasant stay, and Strand Palace will surely be somewhere we return next we stay in London.

A great hotel and close to the centre. You can reach almost anywhere quickly. Bus stops are just a few steps away and you can easily shop for groceries and food. So you are right in the Center.
There was nothing I didn't like :) Everything was so beautiful that I was blown away.

The hotel was immaculate, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. I cannot express enough how lovely and accommodating your team was. The breakfast staff, in particular, were incredibly kind and helpful in providing gluten-free options. Although there were no gluten-free pastries available, they kindly offered toast and muffins instead, which was a thoughtful gesture.
Unfortunately, we experienced a few issues during our stay. Initially, we booked a double room but decided to upgrade for our anniversary weekend. However, the upgraded room felt somewhat small, which was a bit disappointing considering it was meant to be a higher category. As mentioned, the hotel itself is lovely and very clean, but the shower setup was not ideal. Even at my height, it felt quite low and awkward to use. Additionally, we encountered recurring problems with the lifts. On two separate occasions, I had to walk down seven floors, which was quite inconvenient.

Fantastic location in central London; most sights and monuments are within a 15/20 minute walk, you have access to 7 tube lines and several buses, and there are heaps of restaurants nearby. Breakfast options are plentiful. Swift check-in process There's now a gym! It's small, but there's everything you need. Most staff members were friendly, especially at the reception and conciergerie.
Because the location is so central, you must contend with the hustle and bustle of London's nightlife, which can become chaotic on weekends. If you value sleep, you're in for a rough time. Some staff members could be nicer.

I made a last minute reservation this time (end of July), I had stayed there at the end of May this year, and just loved the staff, room, really everything about it. That visit I had became ill and had to go to the hospital. The staff checked in on me while there and helped me upon my return. Last time I didn't have the breakfast, this time I did and it was a really great addition with food to accommodate anyone's tastes. As for some of the extra touches, the reusable water bottles and water stations at the elevators, cookies, etc. But this time Gigi at the Front Desk was just an incredible help, and helped me choose a room which was perfect. Thank you Gigi!
The elevator voice is a little much. :)

very quick checkin and early access to room was a bonus at 1pm. window could be opened and compact room but enough space for the 3 nights stay. Within walking distance to a number of theatres including those at Leicester Square and Embankment and Charing Cross Tube . Also really liked the option to save environment by electing to not having daily room serviced. Doorman Anthony was great for advice and info on my 1st day
Limited options for non carb meals in dining room ( without crumbed/ rice/potatoes/pasta etc) salads options limited - and No desserts without sugar. Even some fresh berries and cream would have been a good option.

I really liked the location of the hotel. I was near several popular attractions and lots of options for food, souvenirs and more. My room was a single but it spacious enough for just myself. It was very clean and the temperature could be controlled by the guest. The only issue I could see arise would be for taller guests; I'm 5'6'' and was close to the ceiling in the shower. The bar was great! Huge kudos to Manav for making incredible cocktails! The berry mojito was sooo good. Almost forgot to mention there are water stations in the hallways so you can bring a refillable bottle.
I wasn't a huge fan of the breakfast. The eggs were a wet and bland and the bacon too salty. Milk alternatives would have been nice as well. I would have preferred more variety in the menu.

Great location, central to many popular sites, with bus stops out front or short walk to underground. Friendly staff, clean hotel, and comfortable bed. The single rooms are small but the superior single was fine (and comfortable) for solo traveler. I appreciated the panels on the windows that black out the room for sleep. They also have water stations on each floor to fill up reusable water bottles.
I was in a room near where the housekeeping sets up; so I heard a bit of noise each morning around 7am. My friend had a room further down the hallway and didn’t have that issue though.

I stayed five nights at Strand Palace Hotel and I loved the whole experience from the time I checked in the man in the front desk in the middle with the dark hair was very very helpful and nice (sorry I don’t know his name). I checked in at 2:30 PM and they didn’t take any extra fees, the check in procedures was very easy and fast took me just five minutes. I booked classic single room. The room was very clean and will decorate. It has tea and coffee corner and TV screen. The bathroom was Specious and clean. I ordered food in my room and it was so good. The location of the hotel was great everything around you, the tube station was like four minutes walk from the hotel, There is many bus stops near the hotel. The doorman was very kind. and the check out procedures was very easy and fast too, I just dropped the card in the check out card box at the reception and go.
First of all, there is things that may affect some people experience, but not me, which is in classic single room There is no (fridge, toothbrush, toothpaste ,rope, or slippers). Secondful, I didn’t use any facilities like the gym restaurant, etc. so I can’t say my opinion on that.

The hotel is in a perfect location for all of central London. Everything is in walking distance, and conveniently located. The hotel is well maintained and equipped with everything, the staff are incredibly friendly. The hotel is also committed to helping the environment and offer you, hotels vouchers instead of wasting everyday cleaning which is a great incentive.
When I checked in I paid for breakfast, at the reduced rate, but when I arrived for breakfast the next morning, this was not the case and had to pay the full, non reduced rate. However this was the only problem in a three night stay.
