The hotel is well based to visit South London where I grew up. The only downside is the tourist that invade Tower Bridge, and the abuse Tower Bridge takes up with cordoning areas of the pavement with their lines forming queues for tourist to go inside the towers, made walking had for older people like me with leg problems. The hotel is a great re-design of an old London Police station. you will love it.

The food in the restaurant is of good standard but having worked in the wine trade for a long time, in the top hotels in England, I prefer my hot food to come to my table on a hot plate. The plate lost its heat too quickly just a little of good advice. The staff in the hotel were excelling in their standard off helping the guest.

Good views! Nice staff, breakfast was good.

Could hear other doors closing etc, rooms could be more sound proof.

It is located in a very approachable place, near the London Bridge underground station (a 7-minute walk). The room was quiet and large, and we got an upgrade at an affordable price. We even got a small present for my birthday, a very kind gesture from the hotel staff. We booked a room without breakfast, but there are plenty of restaurants, pubs, and markets nearby. It was a very good choice, we will return here! The hotel is a former jail, and they have preserved some items from the old jail, even pictures of some people condemned here.

Everything was excellent!

staff were very friendly, with a warm welcome. Everyone went out of their way to be pleasant. It's an iconic building that has been refurbished to the highest standards. Breakfast was great value with excellent choice. We got a room upgrade to a Superior Double

Minor things in the room - the shower doesn't drain properly and can leak out under the door. The television software is a nightmare to use, not intuitive and long waits for programmes to load. There is an annoying wardrobe light that automatically pings on at the slightest movement, and if the 'shared door' for the bathroom is closed, the other sleeper was woken up by it - perhaps an isolation switch?

Awesome location right next to Tower Bridge, walking distance to London Bridge and local shopping. Small boutique style feel with super friendly and accommodating staff! we arrived really early (around 09:30am) and they still have us the room at that time which was a huge relief as we had been travelling from 4am, were exhausted and needed to freshen up. We were nervous that a room would only be available at 3pm like most hotels… we were happily surprised!

nothing… simply fabulous!

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I was there for my birthday and they made sure to offer me an early check-in and late check-out as well as breakfast which was very nice. I felt like they cared. The breakfast was really nice and the staff in the restaurant, particularly Grace, were very friendly and helpful.

The room was comfortable but a bit too difficult to control the temperature. It also felt much smaller than the pictures showed, especially in the bathroom.

The staff are friendly, the room was beautiful and the Cafe has the best coffee I've tasted in England so far

We paid a lot for a room and were hoping for a nice view of the city but ended up on lower ground level below the street , which was disappointing

Room and amenities were all lovely, comfy bed and brilliant walk-in shower. Also love a room with a robe! Really interesting background story to the building and the staff knew a lot about it's history and were happy to show us around, including after the breakfast area was closed, just to see the historical features. Receptionists were also very friendly and helpful after we needed to book an extra night due to my partner having a cancelled flight. We would stay again for these reasons.

It isn't the most convenient location to get around central London, mainly because of the walk from the tube. If you are trying to see a lot and hop on and off transport easily, I'd recommend choosing a hotel that is steps away from a tube stop instead of a 10 min walk. Especially if you like to return to the room to shower/change between daytime adventures and evening ones. The hotel itself was lovely though.

The size of the rooms, the overall quality of the Hotel. I had stayed in a Marriott years back in London, and was so disappointed with the quality, room, up-keep of the property. So naturally I had very low expectations with my recent stay. But due to our travels for a wedding needed to stay in this area. But so pleasantly surprised of the quality. It renewed my confidence in Marriott again. The staff was so helpful and polite, also appreciated.

Clean and simple.

Checkin was at 3pm and arrived at 3.05pm. Unfortunately the room wasn’t ready and was offered a complimentary drink in their on-site bar. The female asked me to write my phone number down and I was advised to wait for a phone call when the room would be ready. Had the drink and after waiting 50 minutes, I went back to checkin desk and asked how much longer before the room would be ready, and the operator checked the computer and said it’s ready. No phone call occurred. There were 3 staff members at reception during this transaction and were not busy! Not a good impression.
