Very well maintained facilities. We used the pool and sauna daily. The room was immaculate and the view was to die for. The location, close to borough market and London bridge station, was also wonderful. I especially enjoyed their WhatsApp concierge. You can ask for help anytime with a text message and all can be arranged for you.

5% discretionary cleaning fee daily… it should be free in a 5 star hotel.

It’s a tremendous deal in living such a fabulous, convenient, glamorous and beautiful place.

Bath tub is too small for 2. But the view is wonderful. If it’s changed to a Jacuzzi that will be terrific.

We are absolutely delighted by the experience, right from the reception, about the special allotment of the choicest room, the greeting message every thing made us feel warmly welcomed by the hospitality and participation in the special moment. We were mesmerised with Shangri-La The Shard, It truly is amazing with the beauty, uniqueness, panoramic views from bed and even from the luxurious bath,its opulence is unique. We managed to visit the infinity pool and sauna just once throughout our stay and have fond memories of these wellness amenities.Above all staff were very courteous, cheerfull and always proactive to ensure comfort.

From the handwritten welcome card to the personalised message on the room’s smart TV, the attention to detail was flawless. Champagne on ice, fresh pastries, binoculars for taking in the view, and a minibar stocked better than most bars—it felt like they’d thought of everything. The view from Room 4009 was nothing short of breathtaking. Floor-to-ceiling windows gave us a front-row seat to London’s skyline—day or night, it was spectacular. Every touchpoint was seamless. The desk setup, the presentation of treats, the quality of the amenities, and the polite, professional service from start to finish showed why Shangri-La is in a league of its own. The views

The hotel is stunning - well clean and new rooms BUT mostly is the VIEW! I would not leave my room if I could! The pool was okay - looks bigger in pictures. Also the water was pretty cold, they could put it warmer. The sauna with the view of London 10/10. Unfortunately the staff was not great, not a staff of 5 stars hotel! Very unprepared, mostly VERY SLOW. Slow in finding a solution, slow in be efficient. I got the wrong room 3 times, I had to wait over 2h to get the right room. At breakfast they staff was super slow in coming around to take the order and bring the coffee. 1/10 is the TING restaurant - awful service, very inexperienced staff, very rude - taking the wrong orders, bringing to the table and mistaking what dish or drink it was. Forced to leave a plate of the table that we didn’t order. AWFUL. The guy was expressly rude and unprofessional!! Very very unhappy about that considering was the dinner of my birthday. Good thing? The view of the restaurant obviously. The food average too. Disappointing the service and the staff

The views from the hotel are phenomenal! On the 43rd floor our room had views of the Thames, eye of London, st. Paul's Cathedral and much more! Location is excellent being right next to London Bridge metro and train station it's easy to get around London. The staff were also fantastic and always around to answer questions and help out when needed! It was also soo lovely to have a bathtub with such a fantastic view! It was hard to leave! Will certainly be returning!

The pillows were not very comfortable. Even the firmest pillows offered were quite soft and didn't make for a great sleep. The switches in the rooms were numerous and keeping which does what straight took a couple of days to get right!

The Shangri-La at the Shard is a modern, elegant place that is particularly well-situated in the centre of London: it is only a short walk from the City and is built almost literally on top of London Bridge railway station, which gives you rail and underground access to pretty much anywhere in London and the surrounding areas. Southwark Cathedral is only a few metres away, and the very lively Borough Market, with all its restaurants, bars, cafes and shops, is next door. The rooms are spacious and filled with light, and also very well-appointed and comfortable; most will boast excellent views of London, the Thames and a bewildering array of sights. We tried the swimming pool and sauna, on the 52nd floor, and again the view is breathtaking. The Shangri-La has a number of restaurants and bars, serving excellent food and cocktails: breakfast does not look as abundant and decadent as in some other hotels, but it is very high-quality and diverse. As one would expect, staff are professional to a fault, and did everything they could to ensure we had a first-rate experience!

There seems to be some lack of clarity as to the conditions for using the swimming pool and the sauna: we were under the impression that one needed to reserve a time slot of one hour during which no one else would be in the sauna. As it happened, there were quite a few other people there: that was not a problem in itself, it just made it feel less exclusive and (at least as far as the sauna is concerned) less comfortable.

Room had a good view from the bedroom and the bathroom and was located next to London Bridge Station. Plenty of room to move and lounge around.

The bathroom sink area was a bit cluttered where it was positioned. Whilst the room had good views, it was spoiled by the dirty windows. Thankfully the windows were cleaned on our second last day (so it was probably luck of the draw) however there was one window in the bathroom left untouched. Whilst that didn't take from the main view, you can't help but notice it when you look out the side. There was this thing that we noted with the hospitality staff (bar and restaurant) and that is that you would struggle to get a smile or a good morning or something out of them. Either stuffy or miserable. we couldn't work it out so we gave up.

Was stunning. Everywhere smelt amazing from the second you walked in. Staff were helpful and friendly. The air con in the room was freezing which I LOVE. The view absolutely incredible, I could have sat there all day just looking at it. The bed was huge and so comfortable. All the room touches were perfect. We were getting married during our stay and the hotel had written us a message on the window and thrown rose petals on the bed. It was just perfection. Would highly recommend staying here for the experience.
