Beautiful hotel with lovely decor. Great shower. Very kind staff.

We booked a senior classroom because in the photos they looked large and with a lot of windows. Our room was nothing like that but there was no way to know that we could end up in a much smaller room. And as nice as the bathroom is, it had quite dim lighting.

Excellent value for money for this small luxurious hotel in a superb location right beside London Bridge! Ease of access from the underground direct from Heathrow airport. We ate in the restaurant on the Friday evening. Food although pricey was superb, however the superbness outweighed the value! It was TOO expensive. 350GBP for 4 people with 6 Cobra and 2 small glasses of wine. Overpriced even by London standards. Bedrooms were REALLY comfortable and very spacious also SPOTLESS!

Liked everything - would stay again! Would not eat in the restaurant again. Plenty of selection on the doorstep though from pub grub to the Ivy. Arrived home 1230am into Sunday morning. Door locked took a good 15plus minutes to get the door answered.

Checking in was quick and our case was taken to our room. The hotel itself is a converted school and the dining/ breakfast room is the old school hall with beautiful wood flooring and a vaulted ceiling. Our room was both beautiful and spacious, the bathroom shower was powerful and they have those ‘super loos’ with a warm seat! There is both a coffee machine and separate kettle and the mini bar soft drinks/crisps/biscuits and hot chocolate/coffee packs are replaced daily. Breakfast was exceptional and service attentive but not obtrusive. This hotel has the most polite and lovely staff we’ve ever encountered, helpful, kind and everything with a smile.

We couldn’t fault a thing - our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer and try the Indian food in the restaurant. So we will be back.

Great location. Gorgeous building, a former school, beautifully designed and it was a privilege to eat breakfast in the Great Hall. Our room was quiet, comfy and spotless. Reception staff were very pleasant. Breakfast choices were great - Indian or English menus were available. Loved the turn down service! Excellent shower. Very comfy bed and soft drinks and snacks in the mini bar were appreciated.

We had to keep our room curtains closed due to its close proximity to a close apartment block. Not keen on the toiletries - they didn’t suit my skin, but I’d taken my own so not a problem.

Our Senior Classroom suite was perfect for a calm and relaxing spring break in London. The bed was king sized and so very comfortable, the coffee/tea making area was well stocked and there was a comfortable table for a quick coffee or a tasty snack from the nearby Borough market stalls. Access to the Tower Bridge, London Bridge, Southwark, the Old Globe area, the Borough Market, St. Paul’s, the UberClipper water taxi, and the Tube via multiple stations was easy. The restaurant is breathtakingly beautiful and the food excellent. A grand experience.

The remote-control shade on the front window would not close the first night of our stay, so the light woke us unreasonably early. The problem was rectified right away after we complained. Lovely staff.

Loved the location, the history of the building and the staff were so lovely. The room was nice with a lovely comfortable bed but the view was not brilliant but in London that is to be expected as it is so built up! There is so much around the hotel, Tower Bridge, The Shard & across the bridge is the Tower of London. Lots of restaurants locally too along the embankment.

The limited dinner menu as there is only an Indian restaurant in the hotel, which is highly recommended by locals but if you don't like that type of food then it could be a problem but lots of lovely restaurants alongside the Thames only 5 mins from the hotel.

What a fabulous place to stay, in a wonderful location! The decor is beautiful and high quality. The renovations of what was an old Grammar School, are most tasteful and the whole experience is generally very pleasant. A stunning dining room. Comfortable beds. A wonderful location, with easy access to the Thames, Tower Bridge, Tate Modern & Borough Market. The doorman was very helpful, hailing us a cab when needed. The bar & restaurant staff were very pleasant.

We found the check-in experience was not very pleasant. The lady checking us in seemed to lack EQ, was rather brusque in manner and wrongly presumed that one of the other guests in reception area was my partner, which was rather embarassing. The toiletries in the bedroom aren't in keeping or of the quality one would expect, which is minor, but the hotel could improve on this we thought. Apart from the rather unpleasant check-in experience, everything was truly pleasant & we would stay there again.

Great location, minutes from river bank near Tower Bridge/Queens walk. Stunning heritage building, formerly a grammar school. The listed building has been tastefully and respectfully been updated and converted to a traditional but modern hotel with the Indian influence and style of the Lalit Chain. Very impressive building and interior areas, bar, headteachers room, now a comfortable lounge next to the bar and restaurant. Our room was spacious and well furnished. Lovely extras from mini bar, soft drinks, and snacks. Stylish large ensuite, with hi-tech toilet. Useful toiletries included. Lovely gentlemen called the room early evening to see if we wanted any more snacks or needed .We didn't have time to use the spa, but I would definitely try to on a future stay. Have stayed at the Lalit in Delhi and a month ago for a week in Kolkata and used the spa there. Very impressed by all hotels. Definitely will return when we are in London as we are frequent visitors. We recently stayed at The Lalit Hotel and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, making for a great night’s sleep. The location is conveniently close to the London Bridge tube station (10 minutes walk) Borough Market and The Shard. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic stay!

Breakfast wasn’t great . A little pared down ? Not much choice . Streaky bacon was terrible ! Really fatty and frankly inedible . Room was very warm . Yes in the room was fragranced even though it was supposed to be breakfast tea . Totally different to the tea at breakfast . We also had to ask for more toiletries and face flanked since they weren’t replenished despite staying 3 nights. However , all these were very quickly resolved once we asked . We loved the toilet !!!!! Heated seat and bidet ! We also loved the headmasters room . Great for drinks with family
