Location was excellent. A taxi service was provided on call - 90 pounds to Heathrow. Water was available for free from dispensing machine. Staff very cordial. A members lounge was a great asset to sit and relax in peace - though no immediate access to nearby toilet.

Could do with some vending machines.. Breakfast too expensive - besides there are no options available if you do not need a buffet breakfast. Restaurant experience not too pleasant - seating with no back, and noice level too high. On a chilly night seating by the open door was another discomfort that could have been avoided.

The location is fantastic, the building / lobby is impressive, the hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are lovely. We particularly loved the availability of complementary water, tea and coffee, 24 hours per day.

The bathroom was small and decor a bit dated, in need of modernisation. Would have preferred a shower screen / cubicle instead of just a curtain. Also, we had a superior room for 3 adults sharing. The third adult was on a large sofa bed but the position of this meant they could not see the television- the layout of the room could maybe be changed, to accommodate a third person better.

Staff is helpful, kind and Professional. I gave this hotel a higher rating because of the staff at the front desk, the restaurant/bar and housekeeping.

The property itself is lovely but the rooms are in serious need of an update. Very 80s and extremely small. Need some fresh air or windows that you can open.

Room was very spacious and quiet (which was surprising given the busy area). There was a washing machine and dryer that we were able to use which was very handy! It was also very handy having little touches like the filtered water and reusable bottles in the hallway. Was also really nice being able to go and get a tea or coffee from the lounge at any time.

Room only cleaned every 3 days unless you requested it. This meant that we ran out of some of the supplies like shower gel but the front counter was helpful when we did. Would be good to have fresh towels and toiletries each day even if the sheets aren't changed.

Our stay in London was truly delightful, and we are grateful to the team at The Grand for making it even more memorable. The room, while compact, was impeccably clean and perfectly suited to our needs. We especially appreciated the Club Living Room, which offered a pleasant environment for meetings or remote work, along with complimentary tea and coffee. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Special thanks to Cameron, who assisted us during check-in and provided helpful information about the hotel and nearby attractions. Her warm welcome was especially appreciated after our long train journey from Edinburgh. We experienced a minor issue in our room due to an accident on our part. Nalin and the team were incredibly understanding and resolved the situation promptly and professionally, ensuring that our holiday was not affected in any way. Their support and reassurance meant a great deal to us. Additionally, Salman was very helpful during check-out and ensured our transportation to the airport went smoothly. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to others and would certainly choose to stay at The Grand again on a future visit to London.

If you’re looking for a well-located London hotel that retains a “grandness” from another era, you’ll enjoy The Grand Hotel at Trafalgar Square. On historic Northumberland Avenue just blocks from the Thames Rmbankment and close to numerous museums, attractions, government buildings and theaters. Easy walking to so many sites and Underground stations. Comfortably updated rooms, excellent staff and handy amenities like a water station on each floor for filling bottles make it traveler friendly. Ample breakfasts, but could use a better pastry provider. You won’t be disappointed staying at The Grand when London calls.

The location is perfect—right in the center, with most attractions (Regent Street, Oxford Street, Piccadilly Circus, Big Ben, etc.) within walking distance. The staff is very helpful, and check-in/out is quick and easy. Rooms are quiet, with comfortable beds, a tea kettle, coffee machine, and ironing facilities. Though compact, the space is adequate, and drinking water is available on each floor. Prices are high, but expected for central London. The only downside was room access—mine required going down 5 stairs after the elevator, while others were on the same level. A more convenient room assignment would have improved the stay.

Bed was great.

Coffee in the room was terrible and down the machine downstairs was broken. They would not let us get a coffiee from their dining room unless we went in to eat. Worst staff ever checking in to a "grand" hotel. She tried to say we did not have a room even though we had confirnation number. It had been booked more than a month before. When she did find it, she tried to say our card declined but then agreed it did not and it was their system. Tap in Bathroom shower made a loud tapping sound constantly. Just so you know we don't usually complain but really felt this hotel was not what they say their ratings are.

Location is wonderful. Room is not big though I found it comfy. I didn't need to stay in the room during the day, was coming to sleep only, spent the whole day at business event. There is a lounge room in the hotel - this is great place where you can work and have coffe or tea (cost included in the rate). I called it "Cigar Room", but smoking is not allowed (which is good). I was given charge adapter at fromt desk for my European electrical devices. Returned on my check out. Very helpful. They charge 100 GBP deposit at check in. I received it back at my account the next day after check out.

It would be really good if you provide a shoespoon in the rooms.

The bed was amazing and comfortable, room was really good at noise proof, clean and fan was really good. Shower was nice and warm and roomy, soft towels and sheets. Great pillows. Staff were lovely bar one who refused is additional tea tray items, but Jake on front desk very lovely. Great location and very safe .

Lifts very slow, on last morning took us over 25 minutes to actually get in a lift as it kept missing our floor going up after it was called but missing us. Tea tray was disappointing, had 1 tea bag and 2 milks and 2 sugars. Only coffee pods which I don’t like and no coffee granules. For a 4 star I would have expected a little more on the tea tray for 2 people for 2 nights. Ended up going to Tesco to get our own. As when I asked for some more got declined, but she did turn her nose up at me like I was inferior to her, So this did disappoint me a little, had better tea trays in budget hotels.
