Our stay was wonderful.the room was spacious with a view of the park.everything was clean and neat.the bed was comfy which is major. the hotel located near Victoria Station . Most important thing if you consider booking is to request a big room .

The one thing was bothering us was the night front desk,she was racist .she treated us differently and never smiled for us.the first night we asked for room change and she refused.next morning the staff changed it to spacious room right away.and when we came in the evening to collect our keys she never asked for our name and gave us another persons room key.!!!she was the kind of person that you don’t want to deal with.

The location was amazing, next to Victoria's station - perfect for the plane - near Buckingham. Very safe and cute. The room was very clean and cute. The service was good. Thanks to the man who found us a solution to travel to Gatwick while the strike was happening !

The bill of the breakfast was £45 for 2 while it's indicated it's £17,5 per person. Absolutely no-one told us the price would be more expensive if we don't make reservation the day before (plus, we arrived around 11pm ... so the person at the reception could have asked us if we want breakfast the next day)... This information was given when we did the check-out .. None commercial solution was offered neither done.....

The location of the hotel is very good, at walking distance to Wentminster Abbey, Big Ben and so on. The stuff was very helpful and considerate. Also the breakfast was very good, not very varied but very good.

The fact that on their site it was mentioned that on arrival a damage deposit of 100 pounds would be required but actualy the credit card was preauthorized for 289 pounds. When we arrived the lady from the reception said that this amount will be relesed after the full payment, but it wasn't. At chek-out I asked the receptionit about the relese of 289 pounds and they said it was for damage deposit and it will take about 7 working days to be relesed ...which is quite infuriating

This hotel exceeded our expectations! The location was so quiet and convenient to the Victoria Bus station and other bus stops in the city. The staff is the absolute best! Breakfast was perfect every day and the accommodations met all our needs, including a safe in the room. The windows could open, and the curtains blew in the breeze. The temperature of our room was always perfect! The restaurant serves top notch food and the best pizza! Sparkling clean and thoroughly modern bathrooms were so enjoyable. We would stay at the Wellington Hotel by Blue Orchid again!

The coffee maker could use an upgrade.

Very nice mid-rate hotel in a great location. If you like to walk, you can walk all over central London from the hotel, and Victoria Station is conveniently close-by. The rooms offer nice amenities like slippers, a kettle, selection of tea, Nescafe, biscuits, and a Nespresso machine. The bed was comfortable, the towels were fluffy, and I had quite a large room, for London. There's a limited room-service menu, and you can select your daily rate with or without breakfast. The staff is lovely. There's a hotel restaurant, but I didn't try it. Tiffin, a Punjabi restaurant, is just around the corner.

The rooms (or the one I had, at least) could use a facelift. The furniture was rather beaten up, and while the room had really gorgeous, huge Victorian windows, those windows are single-glazed and leak cold air. There were heavy drapes that I think had been designed to be pulled across at night, but years of people hauling on them had shredded the silk, and now they were stationary. There was a roman shade to lower at night, but it didn't do anything to stop the draught. The rooms have good heat/AC, though. I'm not sure there was a luggage room, because if people arrived before check-in at 3:00, their luggage was parked all over reception.

The room was clean and nicely furnished. The bed was comfortable. The lobby area was very nice. The staff were very nice and helpful. Great to have that much seating and the coffee/bar. The location worked very well for us. It was a quiet, safe, and attractive area. Ten minute walk to two Underground stations. Bathroom was a good size. Showerhead and water pressure were awesome.

The room was smaller than I expected with very little space to put our clothes. Had to live out of our suitcases for our whole visit. We could hang a few things in closet cabinet. No outlets beside the bed.

The hotel is in a good location, about a 10 minute walk from Victoria station. The room was clean and comfortable.

The hotel is large with multiple entrances but only 1 of them is functioning. This means that, to leave the hotel I had to walk pas multiple alarmed doors that would have been much more convenient to use. There were also multiple bars and lounges in the hotel but only 1 of them was working. Again, this meant walking past multiple closed bars to get to the open one if you wanted to buy a drink. My room was also unbelievably hot, even though I had the air condition set to 19 degrees.

This is my second stay and I was very happy with their level of service. The room was small, but a fine size for one although the room was oddly shaped with not too much light from the window. Bathroom was tiny, but very well appointed. The housekeeping was flexible and came back later when I was out of the room to tidy up. I always felt the room was very clean. Breakfast is great! Extremely convenient to the Tube. The courtyard is a bonus. When going home, I had 'Step Free' from Victoria right to Heathrow.

Bed and pillows still not super comfortable. I was able to ask ahead and it seems they added a comforter to the mattress so it was a bit better than last time. Their AC was not up to the job during this abnormal heat. Where I was in the hotel was a different wing and it seemed that they could not make it any colder . It was stuck on 19 and made clanking noises. When I asked the front desk to try to make it cooler, they tried and after a while it got a bit cooler. I totally understand that European AC is not the same as the US, but had to sweat it out the first night or two.

The room was on the ground floor, so it was very easy to get to, and it was warm and comfortable. It had a large bathroom/wet room, good amenities like tea and coffee-making facilities, an iron and an ironing board, a safe and a fridge. Wall-mounted TV. Bonus was being able to leave your luggage at the hotel before checking in, and also after you had checked out

The lighting in the bathroom worked by sensor, so in the middle of my shower, the lights went out. The plug in the sink didn't work, and the sink was tiny. The breakfast room was quite cramped, so a bit of juggling was required to get to the food. I was told over the phone that an early check-in would cost £20 for each hour before check-in time, which is 13.00 hrs, so that could work out expensive

I stayed at the Wellington Hotel whilst visiting London with a friend from the US. It is very central to many of the main tourist spots for London, ie Buckingham Palace, Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square etc, which are within easy walking distance and it is located in what seems like a nice area, opposite a park. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We arrived earlier than expected and were able to leave our luggage safely whilst we went off for the afternoon. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We didn't use the restaurant, but we did order food on both evenings via the bar, which was excellent and good value - also, on our second evening, were able to enjoy eating outside in the lovely small garden area at the front of the hotel.

There wasn't really anything that we didn't like about The Wellington Hotel. My only observation would be that on our stay, it was quite hot in London, especially on our second evening and I never really got to grips with the room air con system, so it was too warm during that second night. A leaflet with instructions might be useful going forward.
